I really enjoyed this book, the author writes a good romance.
Cath is a woman with a difficult past, she's turned a corner and has a job she loves. I found Cath to be a fun character, with real emotions.
Neville, what a name, it doesn't conjure up a sexy man does it! Luckily we get to know Nev and he really is a sexy guy and a sweet one too.
The storyline takes us through them getting it on then getting to know one another, to caring about each other.
A good read that I'd recommend.
I would recommend this book with no hesitancy, it features brilliantly layered characters, a romance you would root for, filled with obstacles because of the heroine's walls, a sexy Brit hero and some really steamy scenes.
About Last Night is a cute, steamy story of opposites attract. However, I didn't find a lot of substance behind the instant physical attraction between characters. While the premise was promising and did keep me reading, it just didn't deliver the way that I hoped it would.
I loved the book, and it remains a favourite that I re-read, especially now that I live in London myself.
Not my favorite book, I never connected or related to the characters. I guess I just expected a little more.
Wow! I don't know what else to say about this book. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. About Last Night is just about as close to perfect for a category length romance as you can get. It's angsty and intense, yet sweet and funny, along with really hot scenes that actually advance the character development rather than just being thrown in for no particular reason. It takes real skill to fit a complete and perfect story into a somewhat limited word count. City, sigh, he's an amazing, dreamy hero who falls hard for Cath right off and never backs away no matter how hard she tries to get rid of him. As for Cath, I loved her. Her back story is tough and tragic, and for once we have a heroine that really does have good reasons for being so walled off emotionally. You can't help but feel for her and cheer for her to get her HEA. I cannot wait for Ruthie's next book. I will be pre-ordering it just as soon as it's available.
About Last Night was an ok read for me. This was a story of opposites attracting & Nev & Cath were very much opposites. I struggled with connecting to both of the main characters- Nev was a little dull & Cath was all over the place (in my opinion)
That being said I love Ruthie Knox & enjoy how easy her books are to read. I will keep reading, this wasn't a bad book just not the best fit for me.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
