Amazing amazing amazing. Love this author and it was a privilege for me to be able to share with you my opinion on this book. Characters were on point and the plot was very well executed. Would definitely recommend!

I've tried several times to get into this book, but haven't ever been able to do so successfully. I think it's time to cut my losses. I will not be rating or reviewing this title.

If you like angsty, suspenseful forbidden romance then this book is for you.

Nasir (Naz) is hired to watch Evalina (Eva) by her “husband” after she escapes. As time progresses, he finds out what he was told wasn’t the truth. As they get to know each other, they begin to develop feelings for each other.

Life leads you right where your meant to go, if only you let it.

This IS A CLIFFHANGER. The story ends with Naz recovering from an attack and Eva trying to save him.

Can’t wait to read Dangerous Desires to see where the story goes.

This book wasn't for me as I didn't love the plot and felt that it ell apart in the third act. I wanted more to pull everything together in the end.

I had a hard time getting into this one, but I do feel it's more a case of reading the right book at the right time. Also, some series are best read all at once, they just feel unsatisfying in the incompleteness.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Naz had one mission. His first mission should have been a piece of cake but there is a problem. Eva. Her eyes hypnotized him and he felt remorse that he couldn’t fight against the feelings that surged within him every time she was near. Eva was simply fighting for her life with each breath she took. It took months of planning to get where she was now and she refused to tossed back into the nightmare her life had become. This is the beginning of a story you will not be able to put down!

Warning: This will leave you with an IMMENSE cliffhanger so buckle up because you're in for a ride that you won't want to get off of!

This is the first book in a trilogy and should not be read as a stand alone. It does end with a cliff hanger. Now onto the characters.

There are really only two characters who matter in this book. Ok there are five, but everything really revolves around two.

Eva is so ridiculously strong, brave, and sane considering all that she has gone through. The fact that she isn't cowering in some corner somewhere is a testament to the strength of her being. She is not unafraid, but she is open to trust, open to life, and unimaginable open to love. I honestly wish I had half the strength this character has!

And then there's Naz. Wow. Nasir is strong, passionate, loving, caring, protective, and an all-around good guy who finds himself in a really bad situation. But his actions confirm the strength of his character. Nasir is one of my favorite heroes of late.

The interactions between the two are fun, enjoyable, tender, and incredibly steamy.

The remaining characters include Nasir's bosses, Connor and Tabby. This husband and wife team are badass and tick off all the right boxes. Connor is tough, macho, strong, and a total marshmallow for Tabby, while she is quirky, brilliant, and not to be messed with.

And finally Dimitri, whom we never meet in person and only know through Eva's memories and Naz's impressions. To say someone is pure evil is usually a stretch, but in this case it's true, Dimitri has no redeeming qualities.

I loved this book and can't wait to dive into the next one in the series to find out what happens next!

Disclaimer: I was provided an eARC through Net Galley and the publisher {Montlake Romance} in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This one was a bit of a hit and miss for me unfortunately. I wasn't a great fan of the constant banter/jokes between these two and while the romance wasn't exactly insta, it wasn't that slow burn either. I'll probably have to give this another look if i decide to see the rest of the series through, but these days i prefer series to end before i get invested.

I have read two other books by J. T. Geissinger, Burn for You and Melt for You, and I loved those a lot. But in this one I struggled a lot to connect with the characters and story so I couldn’t properly enjoy it.

I love JT Geissenger and have many of her books, so I was excited when this ARC was offered to me through NetGalley. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I had a hard time getting into this book. It just didn't hold my attention. The constant teasing throughout the book was too much and many of the teasings wasn't funny at all. The relationship between Naz and Eva was lacking. With cliffhanger, I'll have to read the next book!

And now I’m hooked!!!

Eva and Nasir have me hooked! Their chemistry is explosive and jumps right off the page! I was absolutely consumed. I went in blind and was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the overall plot and storyline. And that ending is WOW!

The author does such a fantastic job keeping the readers engaged and looking forward to more!

Here’s what I loved:
Despite Eva’s history she’s very open, trusting, and giving to Nasir. She is smart, sweet, and so full of life. I hurt for her! She’s such an amazing character.

Nasir’s description had me salivating. He sounds sexy!! Like fanfreakingtastic! His dedication to those he loves is very endearing.

I loved the humor and banter between them. It really supported the progression of their relationship. I was impressed by the humor and banter.

The writing and storyline are fabulous. Overall, this is a solid and definitely recommended.

4 1/2 Suspenseful Stars!

Naz is a former military man who has joined a security company that has been hired to watch the wife of a Russian mobster. But he intervenes when a drug gang harasses his mark ... the beautiful Eva. Eva knows there is something special about the mountain of a man that saved her ... she just has no idea that he works for the man she ran away from.

This book has a huge cliffhanger! I really enjoyed the suspense, romance and the steamy scenes. Who wouldn’t want Naz watching their every move? And I loved that Eva was a badass and could hold her own. Her ex is just creepy! Can’t wait for the next book.

I received a copy courtesy of Montlake Romance through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.

From the very first page, the story of Naz and Evalina had absolutely captivated me. A woman on the run and the man sent to Cozumel, Mexico to keep an eye on her for her mobster husband. A dangerous attraction and a love that can cost them everything, this slow burn romance kept me riveted to the pages.
The very second Eva appeared on the pages, I was fascinated with her. This is a woman that has clearly been to hell, and she has no desire to go back.
Survival is simply the art of suffering gracefully when we’re up against forces out of our control. I lost my fear of dying because I expected it every minute of every day. Tomorrows only exist in our minds.
This is a woman that lived through her worst nightmare and has the scars to show for it. On the run for her life, she’s come to Cozumel to live a life under the radar. But then an alluring stranger saves her life and there’s just something about him that she can’t stop thinking about.
Why is your heart hammering, Naz?” “Because you’re crack and I’m an addict.”
Naz is all alpha with a heart of gold. This is a man that puts his life on the line for a living, but now he’s supposed to have an easy assignment; keep an eye on a mobster’s errant run away wife. But nothing is what it seems, and it doesn’t take long for Naz to realize that his assignment is not at all what he thought. And he’ll stop at nothing to protect the woman that he couldn’t help but fall for, even if it costs him everything.
As much as I love a grumpy alpha that fights his feelings with everything he’s got, Naz’s easy affection and fierce protectiveness of Eva made my heart melt. I loved the way that he was with her. This is a man that doesn’t try to go after a woman while holding on to his secrets, and I really liked that about him. He wanted to be with Eva without the pretense of who they thought the other was, and there’s a lot of secrets to unearth between the two of them.
After a moment of shock, I manage, “What are we doing?”
“Badasses like to spoon before a nap, sweetheart.” He presses a soft kiss to the nape of my neck.
“Oh. I wasn’t aware.”
I loved the delicious slow burn between Eva and him. The chemistry was downright incendiary, so by the time they finally give into it, I thought I would explode myself.
There are some subject matters in this book that may be a bit of a trigger for some, so just go in knowing that it does run on the slightly darker side with Eva’s past. The woman is a fighter, though. I loved the way she protects Naz in her own right. There’s this core of strength to her that you can’t help but respect. This is not a woman that runs from her demons, but she faces them head on.
There’s plenty of action along the way and a cameo from my favorite duo Connor and Tabby, from Wicked Sexy. I will never have enough of these two.
Dangerous Beauty is the first book in a trilogy and I’m downright salivating for book two. I adore all things JT Geissinger, and she managed to deliver yet another heart pounding, suspenseful and sizzling read that will keep readers glued to the pages from begging to end.

DNF

I was unaware before going into this book that this would be a series featuring the same couple. This one ends in a cliffhanger, so I'm putting the book on hold until all the books are out to binge read.

Nasir is a hired bodyguard and his new assignment is going to be ridiculously easy - Follow the spoiled wife of a Russian thug who has runaway (again) to Mexico. Eva has escaped to Mexico and is getting by, living her life the way she wants. Until one day, she makes a wrong turn and is face to face with a drug gang. Lucky for her, a handsome ex-cop was there to save her. Then they begin to see each other all over town. She has to get to know him. As the relationship between Naz and Eva begins to grow, as does the sexual tension.

This novel was so well written that I couldn't put it down! The connection between Naz and Eva is instant and hot! The more and more they spend time with each other, the more and more I can't stop reading. The slow burn is real with this one.

When Naz tells her the truth about everything and the way Eva reacts to it.. Kind of irked me though. I mean, I felt like she over reacted to the whole situation based on past experiences. Everything begins to change when secrets are revealed and the cliff hanger at the end?! Man, I can not wait for the next one in this series! First time with this author and it will definitely not be my last.

Huge 5/5 stars

I love this author and this book. Definitely was a little disappointed it was a cliffhanger but can't wait for the next book. This is a spinoff series so you can catch glimpses of previous characters. It was a nice steamy read. The characters really flow with one another and the love story is perfect.

The author did such a great job developing the characters, that I feel like I really know them, and not just the major two characters, but the minor ones too.

I loved everything about it - the characters, the plot, the emotion, the writing, and the ability that the author had to tell me a story that had me wanting this book to go on and on.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
