When you hear a thump and you see a bush beating a man, what do you do? You help him of course. Peter sees strange things occasionally, but this is the strangest thing ever. Leo, the wizard needs help, but once he dies, he leaves all his power to Peter. Peter has the assistance of his friends, Stumpy and Raven . He goes before the council of air wizards to give his power back because he doesn't want it. There's portals and wizards and magic. Sound familiar? References are made to the other books with wizards. It was an OK read but it's been written before.
I found "Fallen Wizard" to be a fast and interesting read. It seems to be more suited for elementary school children rather than YA and would be a great introduction to the fantasy genre. It is simply and clearly written. I would recommend it to children looking to try a fantasy novel that is short, sweet and to the point.
Thankyou to NetGalley, BooksGoSocial and the author, S. P Brown, for the opportunity to read a digital copy of Fallen Wizard in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.
I thought this book provided a good quick read. The storyline was well written and very entertaining.
Worth a read.
