@annierainsbooks has quickly become my go-to author for sweet, small town romances! I have loved every book of hers I have picked up so far and Springtime at Hope Cottage was no exception. I'm always able to lose myself in the story and really liked Tuck, Maddie, and Josie's characters. I found myself rooting for Maddie the whole way through and Sweetwater Springs sounds like it would be such a fun place to visit! Definitely pick this one up if you haven't read any of her stories yet! Thank you @netgalley and @readforeverpub for my copy

Springtime at Hope Cottage by Annie Rains is book #2 in her Sweetwater Springs series. This was my first Annie Rains book. It was standalone, but did have characters from a previous book. It was easy to follow. I thought it was a cute romance and it had a happy ending. It had some conflict but of course the couple overcomes these challenges and all it is right with the world at the end.

Josie and Tucker were great. I love a good opposites attract/big city to small town story and this book fits the bill perfectly. A fun story with well-rounded characters, this book is a feel-good read.

This is a great addition to the Sweetwater series. A sweet, tender romance fills the book and along with great writing makes the reader feel so very connected to the characters. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for this ARC to review in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book has been on my shelf on NetGalley for some time and I was recently able to start it. I'm sorry that I didn't get to it sooner. There was so much to love about this story.

Josie Kellum is an editor for Loving Life in New York City. She's returned to Sweetwater Springs to write another piece. Josie's new boss is making her frustrated because his vision of how the magazine should go is not hers. She's staying at her friend, Kaitlyn's B&B, and is not used to small-town life, she misinterprets a tap to get her attention to go on the attack of a friend of Kaitlyn and her husband who would be picking her up.

Tuck Locklear is a physical therapist who enjoys providing therapy in a natural setting. He's a widower and is trying to start dating again. His Lab, Shadow, often helps with treatment.

Tuck & Josie do not get off on the right foot after she nearly sprayed him, then forgetting her cellphone in his vehicle where she persistently calls her phone with the annoying ring tone to get Tuck to return it.

Despite doing his best to avoid Josie, he inadvertently finds himself being her physical therapist. Both are attracted to one another, but Josie is only supposed to be in town for a week. Another reason for Tuck to keep his distance.

When fate has other plans, Mitch, Kaitlyn's husband calls in a big favor of Tuck which puts Josie in closer vicinity than Tucker would like. Her stay has been extended providing them an opportunity to get to know one another.

Just when Tuck thinks things are looking up, Josie makes a rash decision to go back to New York leaving everyone wounded.

I loved this story from the beginning and was laughing out loud through much of it. It's a wonderful second-chance story! This is my first book by Annie Rains but won't be my last.

I received an ARC from NetGalley via Forever (Grand Central Publishing) and I have voluntarily reviewed this book.

SPRINGTIME AT HOPE COTTAGE - Annie Rains

#2 in the Sweetwater Springs romance series

HEART-WARMING! - 4 stars

Plot - 4 stars - Josie, a fast-paced journalist, visits her friend Kaitlin (and her husband) at the B&B featured in the first book of this series. After a somewhat contentious meeting with a local guy, she ends up having to use his PT services after a minor injury. Things start to heat up after that. Their relationship develops from friendship to love.

Writing - 4 stars - Rains is excellent at creating a charming world that the reader wants to be a part of. Sweetwater Springs feels like a warm and friendly town, and the characters she builds are an integral part of it.

Characters - 4 stars - This is where the story shone for me. Josie is cute--a high-powered journalist who wants to devote her life to building a strong career. I like that she always tries to do the right thing, but sometimes that becomes a problem. It's annoying when one person makes the final decision for a couple, without consulting the other person. In this case, Josie decides that it's best for Tuck to concentrate on Maddie and determines that she (Josie) must leave. Tuck is kind and compassionate (look at his career choice), but he's been trying to get beyond his relationship with his late wife. When he meets Josie, he realizes that he might be ready to start something new. And introducing Maddie into his life seems like just the perfect finish to where he wants his life to be. What he can't understand is the antagonism between the two women in his life. Poor, clueless guy. It seemed obvious to me (and probably to everyone else who read this book).

Title - 4 stars - Pretty self-explanatory. It turns out that Hope Cottage is an important part of the story.

Cover - 4.5 stars - The vibrant colors and small-town setting definitely catch the eye and make you think of spring.

Overall - 4 stars - This was another warm and sunny book about Sweetwater Springs. There are nothing but positives: Josie and Tuck are a perfect-fit couple, even though they don't realize it at first. It was great to revisit with Mitch and Kaitlin (and other townsfolk) from the first book. Maddie is a good blend of 11-year-old snark and needy child. The tension between Josie and Tuck made sense because of their careers and their life choices to this point. All in all, I had confidence that things would work out, but I enjoyed the process of getting to the happy ending.

I have only read a couple of Annie Rains books, so when I was able to receive an ARC e-copy of this book from NetGalley, I jumped at the chance to read it and see if I enjoyed other of her books as well! My thoughts on this story are my own.
Josie comes to Sweetwater Springs to visit her best friend and stay at her inn for a few days. But, as happens in life, sometimes things just change and plans have to change! A sprained ankle and an apartment fire conspire to keep Josie in town longer than expected, and needing a place to stay she is offered an apartment by a physical therapist, Tucker, who is helping her with her recovery. Neither is looking for a relationship, but the relationship is looking for them and inevitably they fall in love! This was a sweet story and I always love it when there’s a happily ever after ending!

This is a typical Annie Rains book, small towns with interesting characters. Sweetwater Springs is a friendly, small town where the h injures herself and gets involved with her physical therapist, the H. After working out their conflicts, we get a happy ending.

I love the Sweetwater Springs series. Josie is just in Sweetwater Springs for a short visit with her friend until she has a small accident. That is when she needs a physical therapist, and that is when Tucker comes in. He is just starting to move on after losing his wife a few years before. This is a wonderful story.

This is the 2nd book in the Sweetwater Spring Series. I really enjoyed the 1st book and looked forward to reading this one. Josie Kellum is a workaholic editor for a New York City magazine who is injured and recuperating in Sweetwater Springs. Tucker Locklear is the physical therapist who is just getting over the death of his wife. There is an attraction that they both try to fight but ultimately give in.
Great story line with unexpected secrets revealed. The characters are lovable and easy to relate to. This is a feel-good small-town romance with a happy ending. Looking forward to reading the next book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
