She’s been beaten and abused by her cruel brothers and her only escape was the imaginary world of the tapestry she created, one that features her brothers’ sworn enemies. They thought that the chances of them finding a bride was slim until they stumble upon a beautiful young woman wandering on their land. Genita is torn about revealing her true identity. Jarmon and Garrick sense that she is harboring a dark secret. As their erotic adventure captures Genita’s heart, she knows they’ll face a battle more fearsome than any they’ve fought before.
The Tapestry romance is an emotionally gripping, suspenseful and scorching hot read that captures readers’ hearts. The chemistry is sizzling and the passion explodes with fiery heat as this strong, sexy and daring characters overcome the past and dare to hope for the future and readers can’t help but become emotionally ensnared by all the turbulent emotions that surrounds Jarmon, Garrick and Genita throughout this romance. The story speaks of abuse, battle violence and the resulting scars both physical and mental that the characters have experienced but also inspires readers with the characters ability to overcome their past.
The plot is fast paced and full of suspense as readers wait to find out what will happen first when Genita reveals her identity to the Bakra brothers and then when the Craddock brothers catch up to them. Although on the short side, this is one sinfully delicious ménage romance that sets readers fantasies on fire.
Woven Dreams is the third book in the Tapestries series by N.J. Walters and it is an enchanting one!! Jarmon and Garrik Bakra are twins. They hope that someday they will get a wife, but hopes are dim. In Javara, there are not many women so every one woman marries two men. Their brothers have a wife and they see what they are missing. Jarmon is disfigured by battle so he believes it will hamper, if not totally impede, the probability of securing a wife.
Genita Craddock comes from a vile family. All brothers with little regard to their fellow man. Abused by them her entire life, she toils away day after day, or face their wrath. One night she runs away after finding out the plans to sell her off to gain an alliance, she runs into Jarmon and Garrik on Bakra land.
Jarmon and Garrik are taken with Genny, but they know she is hiding something. Believing she is a tapestry bride, they believe they only have three days to make Genny decide to stay with them. They embark on an erotic journey filled with passion and love. But they do not know she is the brother of their worst enemy. The family that has wreaked havoc on the Bakra family and maimed Jarmon! She knows her brothers will come looking for her, but how can she leave them? She's fallen hard, but doesn't want any more harm to come to the Bakra family at her brothers' hands!
Genny and the Bakra twins all fell in love at first sight! It was magical! Genny cannot understand why the men seem to really like having her around-yes they bring her great pleasure-but she is "seen" by them. She's only known pain and anguish at her brother's hand, so this is new to her. I loved seeing how they all were so in tune with each other. I had a soft spot for Jarmon. Something about him just called to me! They were so caring with Genny.
I have read the other two books and although this could be read as a standalone, I recommend starting with book one to understand the legend of the tapestry. They are all great books, but Woven Dreams is so far my favorite! I look forward to the rest of the books being re-released with striking new covers!
After Genita escapes her brothers, she finds help in the form of two warriors. The plot was pretty standard but the writing was quite good. I liked the flow of the words and enjoyed the book.
Genita escapes the wrath of her abusive brothers days before she is to be forced into an even more abusive relationship when she married to brother's in a competing clan. During her escape, she is captured by two handsome warriors who have nearly identical appearance to men on a tapestry she has been weaving. Hot scenes and a fairytale type romance ensues. Easy to read, easy to love the characters and a good mix of steamy romance and story.
I would like to thank the author and publisher for providing a copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
Finally we get the third book in this wonderful series this is Jarmon and Garrik story Jarmin was injured in battle in one of the earlier stories for a while it didn't look like he would survive and even when he did he didn't want to live life anymore. Now he and his brother look like they have found their tapestry bride like their older brothers did Genita is on the run from her abusive brother after he pledges her to a man even worse than him she has been embroidering a tapestry that held the image of two warriors but she can't be a tapestry bride can she. She knows she needs to leave before she puts the twins in danger but maybe she can indulge before she goes. When loves starts to bloom between the three the twins will do whatever it takes to keep their bride safe be prepared for a steamy ride in this fun book that ties up this series
This was a sweet and touching historical romance, it made me feel like crying a few times during the reading of it. But it was worth reading!!
I enjoyed this book to a point? It just felt sort of rushed and the emotions of the characters felt superficial. The language also felt a tad repetitive as though the author was running out of descriptive words. I guess I just wanted more in all aspects of the book, the language, the relationships, the plot, everything.
While I recognize that this book is part way through a series it did stand well alone. However, it does make me wonder if the rest of the series also feels stunted.
First time read with this author and found this book enjoyable .Well written, sexy and good plot made for a hot read. Will look for more books by this author.I read this book as an arc and this is my honest opinion.
Book three in the Tapestries series, Woven Dreams is an enjoyable addition to the series. Genita Craddock , twins Garrik & Jarmon Bakra are great characters, Gennita has her secrets and the twins are well suited for her. I love this author and this is a series I recommend you add to your read list.
Loved reading the sensational third book in the Tapestry series. Jarmon and Garrik find the woman of their dreams, Genny, but Genny doesn't know what the Bakra brothers will do when they find out she is the sister of their sworn enemy. Read the highly recommended and wonderfully written love story.
I reviewed a copy of the book through NetGalley.
Thanks to the publisher for an ARC to read and give my honest opinion.
I'm a fan of this author but this series is really fiction. Garrik and Jarmon are brothers looking for their tapestry bride. Genny is the sister of a rival clan of brothers who is abused and treated badly. She weaves a tapestry then finds herself in the woods to be claimed.
What did I like? Well the sex is steamy if your into mmf scenes. The idea is fun and the read is a quick one.
Would I buy this book? I like her other series but would I want to own a copy...probably not. The book is fun but its too fanciful for me. The idea that two brothers are happy to share a wife is just weird for me.
Thoughts for this author? Girl where did you get an idea for this one....nevermind I don't want to know. Three stars.
Woven Dreams by N. J. Walters is book Three in the Tapestries Series. This is the story of Genita Craddock , Garrik and Jarmon Bakra. I have read the previous book but feel this can be a standalone book. Genita brother is very abusive to her. Genita has tried to withstand it but now he plans to marry her to a worse fate then him. Genita goes and escapes him but runs into her brother's sworn enemies the Bakra brothers. Keeping her identity a secret she goes to enjoy these new feelings she has for them. Jarmon and his brother are happy to claim the women they found but they know she has secrets that may hurt them...but they waited so long for someone like her. Note this is a re-release with a great new cover.
Great hot read!
Woven Dreams is the third book in the Tapestries series by N.J. Walters and is just as good as the first two. We met brothers Jarmon and Garrik in the second book - Jarmon was terribly injured in battle and almost didn't survive. He is terribly scarred and believes if he and his brother are blessed with a woman, he will be regarded as the second husband.
Genita's brothers are the ones who injured Jarmon and she herself has been terribly abused by her family. Genita runs away after learning her oldest brother is planning to give her in marriage to two men much like the ones in her family.
When Genita meets Jarmon and Garrik they believe she is a tapestry bride and came to their realm through the tapestry. Genita has been making a tapestry that includes two warriors very similar to Jarmon and Garrik but she doesn't believe she is a tapestry bride. She realizes both men want her and she is determined to leave them, but why not indulge before she goes? Two sexy warriors - sounds good to her!
Can Jarmon and Garrik convince her to marry one of them and stay with them? What will happen when they find out who her family is? This one is super steamy, sexy and very sweet. Great read!
I really felt for Genny. Abused, taken advantage of and then threatened with being married off to the worst man in the area. No wonder she escaped. But her sense of freedom and her wonder at the openness is soon caged. Will her courage and her belief in herself flourish under the attentions of the youngest Bakra brothers? Will her sexual explorations be encouraged by their knowledge? Will her hidden past be the secret that prevents her from having a future?
Abused by her cruel brothers, Genita Craddock escapes and finds two handsome and willing men to assist her with starting a new life. But, what happens when her brothers track her down?
This was a great love story with enough sex to keep the plot interesting. I felt the love bloom between the three main characters and became swept up into the story, and was saddened when it ended. This story was originally published in 2006. I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley and am voluntarily reviewing it.
