This book is truly lovely. Beautiful artwork throughout, and a wonderful message of the love, strength and dependability of God. I read this to my 3-year-old and she loved the pictures and our discussion about God and how right the truths this book professed are, and how they pertain to our own lives.
It was so thoughtful that the author added little facts about owls at the end of the book as well as scripture references (and parental reassurance) to back up what the book declared.
Such a lovely book from cover to cover, from both in words and pictures!
This is a sweet little book. Every child can understand Quinn’s fear of getting lost or alone. Then they can learn as she does that they are never truly alone.
In this book, the lesson is more prominent than the storyline. While it flows well, the characters are only there to illustrate the lesson. It is very well done though and you never feel that the lesson is forced.
The illustrations are beautiful. Their gentle dark colors make it a perfect bedtime story.
I received this as a free ARC through NetGalley and Harvest House Publishers. No favorable review was required. It was my pleasure to provide my honest opinion.
The illustrations are beautiful and the language easy for young children to follow. The story begins when little owl Quinn, flying around with her father, is suddenly concerned about what she should do if she ever gets lost. His father brings her to the tallest mountain around and explains to her how she can use that mountain as her guiding point to always find home.
Using similar metaphors to that of the mountain, Quinn’s father then explain to Quinn his vision of God as protector and guide.
Perhaps parents concerned with finding a way to explain such concepts to their children may find this book a useful read, albeit they agree with the vision presented here.
A sweet story of how to have faith in God. This book was written to help children with separation anxiety and how God is always with you. I feel like the story was very short and to the point.
A picture book about finding God at a young age. Little owl is flying around with her father but she is concerned about what she should do if she ever gets lost. They fly to the mountain where her father likens the mountain to God and how he is solid, always there and will show you the way home.

This book is about a little owl who is afraid of being separated from her father. The illustrations are beautiful and the text is simple. It sends a great message about faith and conquering fears. I think it will be easy for kids to understand. There is a Christian element to the book, which may make some people uncomfortable. Otherwise, I think it's a great book.
Quinn's Promise Rock was a wonderful, easily understood book about how God is always with us no matter what. The illustrations are fantastic and I was truly entertained! Quinn's rock reminded her that God is always with her, just like her rock!
Loved this little heart warming story about Quinn the Owl being taught about God by his Dad. Also loved the Do you know section at the end with facts about owls. So interesting!
A really lovely book, with a good message - God see us all. The illustrations are extraordinary. Great story for all ages. Thank you Netgalley and the author for this nice lesson.
What a gorgeous book that brings in elements of phychology with Christian scripture to provide the ideal allegory to support children at the most important time. The illustrations are worthy of hanging on a wall and the ending will lift up almost any heart.
I really enjoyed the theme of this book about Go'd's overwhelming presence and love. However, most teachers cannot teach religious texts so this would not be able to be used.
I love this book! I 'd be tempted to call it my children's book of the year for 2018 except its publication date is 2019! One of my biggest gripes with Christian books for young children is that they tend to portray everything as too happy and wonderful. Okay I know God's love for children (and us all) is indeed wonderful but I often feel the message is that the bad or negative side of life doesn't exist when even young children know otherwise. This book redresses that balance. It really deals with separation anxiety by using the tools of Daddy owl and the wisdom he teaches his daughter Quinn owl. The illustrations are very good and the story itself is short yet substantial. I found myself reading it in the kind of dramatic voice I'd use to read it to a younger child! I have an autistic niece who suffers bad anxiety and I am also on the spectrum myself and I usually find it difficult sourcing children's books which deal with this so I'm delighted that this one is available (or will be in 2019). At the end there is a helpful note to parents and some appropriate Bible verses. I still take inspiration from stories about God from my own childhood and this book has the potential to have the same effect in years to come. It's not really that often that I give a book five out of five but for me this book absolutely deserves it. I will be purchasing a copy upon release and will review on Amazon and Goodreads also. Thank you to the author Christie Thomas, illustrator Sydney Hanson and the publishers Harvest House for producing this.
Thanks to NetGalley/Harvest House for ARC review copy.

4 stars.
This is really a beautiful book. The story was sweet, well written and the illustrations are just beautifully done. I loved the shades of the colours that were chosen. The story gives the reader that sense of comfort while also sending the message that you are always being cared for and are not alone. I really liked the way the Father Owl spoke to his little Daughter Owl, Quinn, by calming her fears by telling her how to find her way home. It addresses anxiety in children and that's pretty important topic that does need to be addressed. Definitely a lovely book for a wide range of ages, including adults.
