I loved all the photos in this book - it really makes choosing a color pattern, or give ideas for creating a colorful space, easier with them.
Color surrounds us everywhere! As the author of this book states: “The colors we chose are ultimately a statement about who we are, what we love, and how we want to live.” So, this is a book that may be used by everybody. From the furniture we choose to the colors used on our walls and windows to the colors used in crafting things for home or as gifts, color is a part of our lives.
The author takes the reader through various ways of deciding how to select colors in their various tones and hues as well as the colors that will complement those choices. She carefully instructs the reader to be “clear and honest about which colors you love and want to surround yourself with” because “your home is for you, [and] there is no right or wrong way with color.”
Whether choosing to redecorate or moving into a new home, the concepts discussed in this book will provide the reader with knowledge to create a pleasant sanctuary. Also consider it as a housewarming gift for friends and family who may need new ideas for decorating.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that was provided by the publisher through Net Galley. However, the thoughts and opinions presented here are my own
Beautiful book with unusual color schemes and ideas for decorating. The descriptions are nice and I will purchase the hardcover version as a coffee table book.
Lots of gorgeous photography and inspiration fill this book! A good reference for anyone looking to add color to their home. Helps you figure out how to choose colors, figure out how much or how little you want to use, and gives plenty of helpful palettes to inspire. Even just looking through this book made me happy!
So many color palettes to choose from, and very versatile.
A great resource to plan the decor for your home.
Take it with you on your next visit to home decor stores, to see what you can buy and will look great together.
A great book for those who love colour, like me. A beautifully designed book with great ideas for using colour.
Picking out colors for home decor is the hardest thing for me! I am always looking for fun and colorful ways to update my home since my husband prefers dark browns... Thank you for this digital copy I enjoyed envisioning ways to use more color in my home decor!
The book is quite different from what I thought it would be. Only after 40 pages, there’s a “how to use this book” section. Frankly, it doesn’t feel like just anyone would be able to pick this title and read it leisurely. Definitely not feeling welcome to atmosphere where the expert tells you the know-how about colours.
Love Color is a lovely book about using color in home decor. I don't think this book contained anything that I haven't read before about color or decor. I think other books have covered the topic in greater depth and more beautifully.
Gorgeous book! I love that the chapters were arranged by colour. I found the pink and purple chapters particularly beautiful - they’re not colours I would usually choose, which just shows how carefully-chosen and varied the shades that the author chose. A great book for colour inspiration, not just for interior design but for any other colours you might choose.
Great take on color and how to apply it to room design. I think anyone looking to better choose color combinations will benefit from this book.
Truly a magical book. I love that every colour has its own section. I love the ideas and information on all the colours and what colours complement each other. The pictures are beautiful throughout the book. This is a great book just to have on your coffee table to peruse if nothing else although I learnt a lot from this book. There is a lot of inspiration in this book. Definitely a book to own.
I received an e-copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!
The choice of colors of your walls, your floors, your furniture is one of the fundamentals of arranging your living space. As I am soon to be moving out into an apartment of my own, I decided to read Love Color for some inspiration. I was not disappointed. The book delivers a great many amazing pictures of houses, flats, rooms, corridors, entrances, etc., arranged according to the color they represent, from blue and green through the warm colors (yellow, orange, red), through pink and purple, through greys, “naturals” and white. Most of the pictures are accompanied by a small graph showing the color contrasts in the space depicted.
My particular color “love affair” has always been with blue, and I have to say that after reading this book, this is still true. The blue chapter (and, to a lesser extent, the green one) was my favourite, and spoke to me the most. However, all the chapters are worth looking through, even if the color combinations are sometimes a little too intense to put in an apartment.
A book worth checking out if you are planning on arranging a new living space or renovating your old one.

Love Color is a stunning book. So much color. The photographs are beautiful and inspiring. I have learned so much about color and different ways to combine many different colors to create a inspiring look. Highly recommend this book.
Love Color is a gorgeous book filled with ideas on choosing the right color combination and incorporating these colors in your home. There are so many color palettes to choose from, and Love Color includes tips that will boost the reader’s confidence in selecting their own color style when sprucing up their homes. It also offers tips on textures, patterns, lighting and choosing colors that can improve the reader’s mood and enhance their emotional well being.
The photos in this book are stunning! The colors are rich and vibrant and I like the concept used in this book where each chapter is sorted by color, thus making it easy to find ideas. Each chapter starts with a brief overview of the color discussed and then proceeds to show different color palettes used for each interior. I’m seriously considering buying a paper copy of this book. If you’re looking for inspirations for your home, this book is for you.

Love Color is a great mix of decorating help and beautiful photography.
Each chapter is a different colour with Information on how to use colour in a room or outside, swatches and gorgeous photos.
A great coffee table or inspirational book.
With the author's creative flair, splashes of vibrant colors permeated this book. It was offered that how we feel in our home is largely dependent upon the colors we find ourselves surrounded with. Anna Starmer suggests that we be mindful of what colors complement us best. There are no right or wrong colors to choose from.
The colors that we come in contact with in our daily lives could very well hold positive or negative effects upon our emotions. Usually trial and error will determine what works best for us individually. Many of the Illustrated inspired crafts in this well-written book jump right off the pages. Resources with contact information were carefully listed in the back followed closely by an index. This is a must-have resource for the world of color that we live in.
I offer my thanks to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group - Ivy Press for this digital edition in exchange for an unbiased review.
So much color! Great if you're looking to add a little extra color to your living space - not so great if you're colorblind and can't make sense of any of the book's diagrams.
