This book is a fantastic collection of a lot of the moments, characters and illustrations that have been in comics or graphic novels before!

This is basically a coffee table book about the Justice League. It covers from their beginnings all the way through Rebirth. Each chapter discusses various stories throughout the JLA's history in a nonlinear format. There's a ton of full page art reproductions featuring the stories discussed in the prose written for each chapter. If you ever wanted to catch up on your Justice League history, this is a great place to start.

Growing up with the superheroes, you waited for each new comic book to arrive at the store to read of their latest adventures. Many of those memorable adventures have been captured in this book with illustration excerpts taken from the pages of the comic books. This is a wonderful journey down memory lane while also serving as a wonderful introduction for the newer reader.

The 100 Greatest Moments From The Justice League as the title suggests, is a compilation of 100 of the greatest moments in the literary history of the Justice League. From their early formation in 1940s to the League finally reaching the big screen in the 2017 film Justice League, this book attempts to capture all the key moments of their journey so far.

These iconic comic moments were not chosen at random. The moments chosen consist of nominations from various Facebook fan groups and former DC editors, along with key inputs from Ace researcher and comics historian John Wells and current JLA editor Brian Cunningham.

The books covers the entire Justice League history. From the original formation of Justice League with the seven founding members (Aquaman, Batman, The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Superman and Wonder Woman, ) in the 1940s to the latest avatar of Justice League in 2017, it covers it all.

The 100 moments are broken up into 7 chapters; The Membership, The Headquarters, The Aliens, The Occult, The Allies, The Enemies and the Greatest Battles. Each chapter comes with an introductory essay followed by reproductions of the original comic book, with three or four lines of caption. The selection of 100 greatest moments covers everything from the changing roster to its greatest villains and some of the greatest battles. The last chapter deals with greatest battles of the Justice League with their greatest foes over the years, from Kingdom Come to the White Martians to Darkseid, is one of the best.

The Appendix section is devoted to the various team rosters, pre and post Rebirth, Justice League Elite, and Justice League Europe. The book itself is beautifully illustrated and perfectly compiled like an encyclopedia.

It is fascinating to see how the Justice League and superhero comics in general have evolved over the years. From the humorous tone and colorful look to the dark and brooding tone of the current times, the art style becoming more complex and how it reflects the changing tastes of the readers. Though the core of the JL has survived, many heroes like Martian Manhunter and even many of the super-villains have been replaced by the more ‘realistic’ ones.

Overall, The 100 Greatest Moments From The Justice League is an absolute gem of a book and treat for not just the justice league fans but every comic book fan.

The eARC file I downloaded had broken images,and only text showed properly, and that made it a bit of a difficult read. This book feels more like a history of the Justice League, but also of the DC comic books in general, and while I should be completely in love with it, I find the fact that the images appear like the noise image on old TVs distracting. I'll have to get the physical copy of this book to properly enjoy it.

'Justice League: 100 Greatest Moments' by Robert Greenberger is a pretty admirable attempt at the 100 greatest things that have happened to the Justice League.

The 100 items are broken up into 7 chapters starting with the membership of the Justice League. It's changed a lot over the years and yet some of the core members have remained. There is a chapter on headqyarters and we see how the team started on Earth, then moved to the Watchower in Space. From here we get in to the aliens they have encountered, the weird occult situations they've found themselves in, and allies and enemies made along the way. The last chapter deals with their greatest battles, and these range from Kingdom Come to the White Martians to Darkseid.

There are descriptions at the beginning of each chapter except the last. Each major battle gets a more in depth look. There are lots of pages from the comics and full credit is given for writer and artist. The appendix deals with team rosters.

I liked this as a good overview. I've followed the Justice League off and on, but I'm no hardcore fan. It was nice to have an introduction and overview to this superteam.

Great graphics and a good story make a fun to read graphic novel, any fan of the Justice League will love this book its a must have for any comic fan

As opposed to this same author's '100 moments for DC women' book, which I slightly grudgingly gave four whole stars to earlier in 2018, this has a lot less text. As a result, we've gone from defining 100 moments by numbered sub-divisions in the text only, to 100 moments that are almost impossible to make out – if it weren't for an imposed caption and number at the top of every page, and the contents lists, you wouldn't know the structure even existed. And structure is key here, for the book is made much worse by the lack of it. You scatter from Brad Meltzer's JLA, to the Rebirth, to the New 52, and back and forth in quite ridiculous fashion, until even the captions and credits start to lose their way and get things wholly wrong, then get shunted back to the 1960s just in time for the whole chapter to crash to a halt. Awkward isn't the word.

As opposed to the other book, this too is much less verbose. Apart from a few introductory essays, the bulk of the product is solely full-page reproductions, with three or four lines of caption, and nothing else. This puts greater value on the reprinted originals, but luckily enough is also just enough to appease and educate the average fan. Buffs will once more learn little, but as a gift book-styled compendium of data and imagery, this fulfils its purpose. I just wish that things had a logical progression and order – even the introduction jumps between the League's history and personnel and that of the comics' staff. Still, DC aren't the people to turn to for common sense, so why should I have expected logic from a book concerning their hit title?!

The 100 Greatest Moments from the Justice League is the perfect collection for a Justice League fan. It’s also perfect for those that haven’t read as much of the series as they’d like, and want a quick rundown of the best moments out there (that’s what I did).
Like any best of compilation, there is an expected level of subjectiveness to them. What you would pick for the best moments and what I would pick would likely be very different. Still, I always appreciate seeing what people find to be the most standout moments/series, and thus really enjoy these particular collections. This one is no exception.
This particular collection did their very best to have as full of an array as possible. They started pulling the greatest moments from the very first issue, back in the 1930s, and got all the way up to 2017 (because of publishing it isn’t surprising that nothing from 2018 was included). I had a lot of fun reading all the moments, seeing the styles and plots change as time moved forward.

A fun review of one of the greatest teams in comic book history, this selection of 100 greatest moments covers everything from the changing line up of the League itself, to its greatest villains and enemies. Beautifully illustrated , of course, it was fascinating to see how the art style has changed, becoming more complex and detailed as time went on. There is a good variety of creators, both in terms of writers and artists, represented in the book, and it would certainly be a treat for any fan of one of the most iconic superhero teams.
