A very fast read of the 2nd novel in the accidental billionaires. In this story Aiden wonders why his sisters best friend and his past love Skye hate him so much. Nine years ago they were together one last time before he had to go away for a two month fishing trip only to find when he got back she ran off and married someone else. He thinking she left him because he was poor and she needed the money and she believing he never cared enough to come and fight for her. We find out during their story there was a misunderstanding and both parties were not aware of each other not knowing an issue of importance to both of them. As with J.S. Scott books lots of erotic passion and sex scenes and easy dialogue. Review on goodreads.
I have to say I love J.S Scotts books, I feel like part of the Sinclair family at this point.
Skye ans Aidens story is so touching, made up of love rekindled and second chances.
Both the characters are so lovable ans then adding Maya into the mix tops it off.
The topic of Skyes painful past was covered very well.
All in all another great love story, well written and a pleasure to read.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This book should be listed as an off series, not necessarily a sequel. Yes, it somewhat continued the story or Jade and Eli. But it was a book about Skye and Aiden. Which was fine also, because the first book left you wondering about them. But, I just needed to put that out there. I had high hopes for this book, so when I saw it on NetGalley for a ARC copy.. I quite literally jumped on it. I wasn't necessarily disappointed, I like Aiden and Skye's story. But while reading, I just felt as though I could see what was coming. Good and bad. And as if this book was pretty much just leading us to what happens next rather then giving you a greater picture of the lives we were invested in. Parentally.. everything moved way too quickly and I think that also kind of killed any excitement as to things going well afterward.
I absolutely love reading the stories about the Sinclair family.. Jan writes as though we are a part of this large extended family. This book is about the oldest brother, Aiden and his sister’s high school best friend, Skye. What these two have been through is nothing short of a miracle. If you enjoy a hot romance with a bit of intrigue then this book is for you.
This is the second book in the Sinclair spin-off series featuring a second chance romance between Aiden Sinclair and Skye. I've been up and down with the Sinclairs and I enjoyed this one. It slowed down a bit and I wasn't fully satisfied with the explanation of her decision and development of her past with her mother and her ex-husband and his family. I kept thinking more drama would pop up with them. BUT there was plenty of angst and emotions that kept me engaged and turning the page. I liked Aiden a lot and how he knew what he wanted once he learned about his daughter, including his future career. I'm not impressed with Seth's personality, his explanation for why he did what he did, or his obsession for more money. He's not humble in comparison to Aiden, which is a quality that endeared me to him. I did like the teaser for him and I'm crossing my fingers I'll warm up to him in the next book and his comeuppance.
For so long I have adored Jan Scott’s writing. With her stories she creates great characters and scenarios that I’ve always believed. I have loved the Sinclairs. What a great series.
This second wave of stories in the Sinclair family, have a really interesting overall story. I love the idea of learning about people who suddenly become fabulously wealthy.
This book has let it all down. Whilst there’s two great characters, the set up to the misunderstanding is simply idiotic. With emails, texts, messaging, all available the whole letter thing is just not believable. The set up didn’t work. How did Seth know what was going on?! It was clear she didn’t tell him. And Aiden still wasn’t back, so in theory knew anything. All ridiculous.
The second misunderstanding urgh. For goodness sakes! That’s even less believable, and then the company would share what was going on???? No. Lawyered up is what they would be.
I felt it was just so lazy. And as a reader I feel quite disappointed and my loyalty used. I hope the next book is much better.
After anxiously awaiting Aiden Sinclair’s story I was not disappointed. This author once again has a fresh and new plot for the alpha men she is so famous for writing about. Aiden and Skye were high school sweethearts and planned a life together. Aiden goes on a fishing job only to be gone a short time and then return to begin a life with Skye. When Aiden never shows up she is forced to do something that is heartbreaking. When Skye and Aiden are brought together for her best friend, Jade Sinclair’s wedding, Skye can’t figure out why Aiden seems angry at her and Aiden is puzzled at Skye’s reaction to him. Once they are forced to talk to each other so many secrets and misunderstandings come to light, then the true talking starts and there is hope for something together that was once lost.
This is a well-written plot, easy to read, with some laughter, tears, lots of family love and support. I enjoy the fact that not only do you have a H&H and what’s going on with them, there is a lot of family members who have a say in the story as well. This always adds much love and humor to the story. I will always read whatever this author writes because she writes such great stories of love, family and happy ever after.
I received an ARC from Net Galley for an honest review.
Thank you to #NetGalley for this ARC of #Entangled
This is the second book in the series and can be read as a stand alone. While the writing itself was deliberate and focused, the characters and plot felt underdeveloped. Readers who are looking for anything more than a romantic narrative will not be satisfied. The story offers that of two young lovers torn apart by circumstance only to be reunited less than a decade later. While the reader is given interesting facets of what took place during the couple’s time apart, we are only told the story as a third party and never immersed into the tragedy or full emotional conflict. There is too much repetitive dialougue spent expressing feelings for one another for a book that felt like it was supposed to be angsty. It lacked that much needed push-pull factor. In addition, while the entire story is understandably told from the two perspectives of the main characters, towards the end of the book there is a shift to a chapter from a third perspective. While one can understand the need set up a segue way into the next book in a series, this action seemed like an after thought which inadvertently drew away from the primary plot. Unfortunately, it was a modest read. 2 stars.
Entangled is book Two in The Accidental Billionaires Series by J. S. Scott. This is the story of Skye Weston and Aiden Sinclair. I have read the previous book and Loved it, but this can be a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Skye and Aiden were young and in love but he had to go away for a while for his job. While he was gone, Skye found out she was pregnant and was forced to marry a man she didn't want too. But to keep her baby safe she did and paid for it every since. Now years later she is back in her home town where her best friend is also the sister to Aiden. Aiden and her do no really speak at first but when they do they start to clear up the misunderstanding. But things of course don't go easy to their path of happiness.
The first book I read by Ms. Scott has lead me on a path to try and read all of her books. I love her writing and the characters she writes about. Ms. Scott's writing allows us to catch up with our other book characters from the past but also allow the current who may not have had the chance to read their stories to enjoy them too.
Recommend this book and her writing!! Loved it!
I really enjoyed reading this book. Both characters Aiden and Skye were strong individuals that I liked. The story was about a second chance at love. Eventhough this book is part of a series, you can read it as a stand alone. I can't wait for the next book. I would recommend this book to anyone. I received an advance copy from NetGalley for my honest opinion.
J.S. Scott is one of the best contemporary romance authors around. Her lastest book Entangled (The Accidental Billionaires Book 2) is a second change love story featuring Aiden Sinclair and Skye Weston. Top notch writing, believable characters mixed in with just the right amount of emotional turmoil and hot steamy scenes will have you hooked from the first page. I adore J.S. Scott's Sinclair family series and eagerly await the next installment.
Skye Weston hates the sight of her first love Aiden and has been avoiding him since she returned to her hometown to take over her mother’s café. However, she can’t avoid him at her best friends wedding as he’s her sister. He won’t allow her to avoid discussing the reason she hates him so, which blows everything sky high. Enjoyable addition to this series, I always look forward to reading Scott’s work. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I LOVED this book! Skye and Aiden clearly had a history filled with miscommunication about a key event that set them on their paths in life. Once the two of them realized that their separation was all because of a miscommunication, the door opens and the two of them find their own way to happily ever after.
One of my favorite parts of the book was that issues are not white-washed as they are in some romance novels. J.S. Scott does a great job of portraying Skye's pain and emotional trauma in a way that had me crying with Skye and becoming her cheerleader as she fought her demons.
I cannot wait for the next book in this series!
I really struggled with this review. I have always enjoyed the author's previous books, especially the "Sinclair" series. Having said that it feels like she is really stretching to find more stories to tell when there isn't. The plot centers around a second chance at romance with a child that the hero doesn't know he has and a heroine who thinks he knows but doesn't care. Skye's previous marriage to someone in the mob was not believable. I also had a very hard time with Aiden when he blows up at Skye because the DNA test comes back with no match whatsoever with his daughter. He conveniently forgets that his daughter was first matched with his sister so he should know that something was wrong with the test. I am going to have to think long and hard to see if I want to continue reading anymore of this series.
I was given an ARC via NetGalley in exchange for this review.
This is a second chance love story that will definitely pull at your heart strings. Aidan and Skye had very strong feelings toward each other nine years ago, but due to interferences and misunderstandings they were separated. It is now almost a decade later and they are back in the same town and there are some angry and hurt feelings towards one another. But once all is revealed, Aidan was determined to have his family. Unfortunately Skye does not make it easy for him, life has been difficult for her, so much so that she closed off any and all emotions except towards her daughter, Maya. But Aidan is a Sinclair and he has the means and drive to not miss out on their happily ever after.
I loved their story, but the misunderstanding that drove them apart was a bit iffy for me, but concessions do need to be made with how young Skye was and how she was brought up. I was really upset with Seth’s involvement in all that. They both sacrifices so much for others. Aidan, along with his older siblings sacrificed their childhood to make sure that they all remain together, and Skye sacrificed her own happiness (and so much more) to make sure her daughter was protected. It was finally their turn to find happiness.
Another great read by J.S. Scott. I can not wait to read about the rest of the Sinclairs and their stories.
Thank you Netgalley and Montlake Romance for giving me the opportunity to read this complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
I confess that I had to read this book slowly because I just needed to soak up all those strong feelings that came out from this amazing story . Firstly let me say that I love the Sinclair Family and with this new series I love them more and more perhaps because . they struggled to survive, yet they overcame the difficulties of life. Aiden is absolutely a keeper and the perfect character that shows what loyalty and love is all about. He has loved for his entire life Skye and although he thought she betrayed him, he always had a slight hope that someday they would get back together. So since fate has a mysterious way of acting, both characters get the opportunity to start over again. It will not be easy, because of the issues that Skye has endured with her previous marriage but at the end they will both have their happy ending. So in my opinion this is a voyage towards the consolidation of a relationship that had initially been destroyed and the achievement of mutual trust. No spoiler here except for my recommendation of this lovely and touching story.
This is the second book 2 in J S Scotts Accidental Billionaires series.
This is Aiden Sinclair and Skye Weston’s story. Aiden and Skye grew up very poor. They fell in love and promised to stay true to each other but Skye is forced into a marriage with a mobster and leaves Aiden broken hearted. Skye returns home after eight years with her daughter, to find that Aiden is no longer a fisherman but a wealthy businessman. This is a lovely second chance romance with well-written believable characters. I really enjoyed it and you won’t be disappointed. I received this ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
I love J. S. Scott’s Sinclair series and always look forward to the next story. Even though the circumstances that kept Aiden and Skye apart was kind of sketchy, I could separate my feelings of disbelief in their situation to get caught up in their world. This was an easy read with characters who are likable and you find yourself caring about and want to get to know better.
Fabulous read!!!
I absolutely loved this book. It didn't take long to read it since I was constantly drawn to the book and characters but I found myself thinking about this book when it wasn't in my hands. I even woke up at 1:00 in the morning and ended up finishing the book because I couldn't sleep.
Whether you are new to JS Scott or have been reading her books for years, I highly recommend this one. It is one of my favorites by her for sure and it is on my top books list. Grab a copy and start enjoying Skye and Aiden's story.
J.S. Scott is a great writer who can magically weave romance and life into a beautiful story. Her Accidental Billionaires series is her latest example of this. Entangled is the second book in the series and is about Aiden Sinclair who grew up poor but is now wealthy beyond his dreams. But his life is empty and nothing seems to fill it and when his first love Skye Weston comes back with her daughter, his feelings for her are pushed to the forefront. Skye has never forgiven Aiden for not coming after her nine years ago and when secrets are revealed, they know they have a lot to work through to grab their second chance at true love.
