Thankyou to NetGalley, the publishers and the author, J. H. Bogran, for the opportunity to read a digital copy of Heir Of Evil in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.
What a terrifying thought! It is a concept that made for a great read! I couldn't put it down.
The storyline was well written with compelling characters. It gets you hooked. 3.5 stars.
Worth a read.
Heir of Evil is a scary concept of Hilter having children. The book is well written and has interesting characters.
The premise is what hooked me. I see that Heir of Evil is the second in a series, but it stood alone well. I have not read the previous book.
Heir of Evil moved at a fast pace. The story itself is quite good. I found it to be an entertaining fast read.
I received my copy through NetGalley and am under no obligation to the publisher
The story is written in the third person as a narrative with an omniscient narration. The characters are developed through indirect characterization. The conflict is external as characters battle othes, fate and society. The interesting theme of keeping true to yourself and your beliefs.
Oscar Brown is supposedly the grandson of Adolf Hitler, though he has never been told this. He works on Wall Street and is a flat character who goes through a dynamic changes, including family secrets, being abducted and possibly assassinated and accused of murder. The exposition lays a detailed back story of how the events could have been possible. The rising action provides details of the present day impact. The climax adds death, truth and lots of action. The falling action brings more questions than answers and adds lots of drama. The resolution shows the future of the character.
The story was short and fast paced but had an interesting nature to it and brought forth a possibility that makes you wonder what could be possible. Yes I would recommend it to those who enjoy mystery, historical fiction, what if types of reads or enjoys quick reads. This is not for those who don’t enjoy interagency murder, plots to overthrow power or anything involving Nazis.
Imagine Hitler's children! It's a frightening premise to me. I liked the original concept of the story. It's a good read.
