I read this book with my nephew and he thought that this book was just amazing. He's always been into the comics and Justice League and all that so this book was a great add-on to bedtime.
Very cute, funny, and modern, the reader gets to see superheroes in a different light. Children email questions to their favorite superheroes, and those superheroes respond. Superman displays that he's not perfect, Wonder Woman wasn't the best at following directions as a kid, We get a look at some superheroes who haven't been prominently featured, like Hawkgirl and Green Lantern. The cartoony, exaggerated features on the characters add to the humor.
This was a lot of fun! Graphic novel format to tell the story of the Justice League fighting an invasion while the heroes are also getting caught up on their email/mail. Letters to the Justice League range from a prank letter to a birthday invitation to questions about being the new kid and making big mistakes. The book is funny and sarcastic at times. I think kids will love this!
Answering fan mail doesn't sound too dangerous compared to a superhero's usual activities, but you would be surprised. Superman actually crashes into a building while reading an email from a fan while flying through the city. Other fans write to Aquaman asking if he smells like a fish, or to Hawkgirl asking if she eats small mammals. Wonder Woman gets invited to a birthday party - and has some memories of her own eleventh birthday. (Warning, don't pig out on the cake.)
The notes come from kids with a variety of questions - some are worried about fashion, others want to know about how to survive the first day at a new school. (Batman has some great ideas for a school utility belt.) Besides answering their mail, we also see the heroes feeding pets, teasing each other, and battling giant bugs from outer space. Flash even teaches some practical jokers a lesson. The final letter actually addresses the entire League, so they answer it together, rounding off the book with a nice recap of the lessons the heroes have learned.
With humorous situations and action-filled illustrations, this graphic novel is sure to appeal to DC fans.
Dear Justice League was a lot of fun to read. The questions these heroes got asked were odd sometimes, but they answered each one truthfully. Some heroes weren’t that excited to answer them, while others couldn’t wait to do it. Along the way a few good lessons are learned. All of this happens while this team is trying to stop a global threat. This is a story I can see fans of all ages enjoying.
This book in graphic novel/comic format focuses on eight members of the Justice League, each heralding his/her own chapter. The premise is that these superheroes are providing responses and/or advice to fans who have contacted them, often about those bloopers in their lives you never hear about! The short stories are funny, many with slapstick humor typically found in comic books. The heroes do end up fighting one central enemy in the end, so the stories do have a common theme.
Reluctant and developing readers will find this book approachable and easy to tackle. It's a great fit for the young (and old) superhero lovers in your life.

This book was just charming. Aimed at a younger audience than standard comics, this will make kids laugh and want to read. The illustrations are perfect and also appropriate for that younger age. I can't wait to share it with my 7-year-old grandson. Great fun!
Dear Justice League is a graphic novel aimed at middle grades kids. It is a fun continuous story of kids asking questions of their favorite hero/heroine. And the Justice League even gets to save the day!
There are eight ‘chapters’ featuring a member of the Justice League. Each chapter introduced the character then gets to the important issue of a child’s question in which the superhero answers honestly in their own unique way. Each chapter builds on the previous and we have appearances by Superman, Hawkgirl, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, Cyborg, and Batman.
Each chapter is unique and showcases the personality of each character. My personal favorite was The Flash’s chapter. And I have to say one thing: Poor ‘old fashioned’ Batman!
The illustrations are very colorful and well done. They definitely add to the story. I am not familiar with all the DC characters, so this was a good introduction for me. It would be great for kids as well. This is an enjoyable graphic novel for kids and adults!
Many thanks to the publisher for granting me a copy via NetGalley.
I thoroughly enjoyed this graphic novel! A great introduction for young readers to the Justice League super heroes. I loved how each hero responded to fan mail in their own unique style and how they all came together for the larger story of invading aliens in the end!
Thank you to NetGalley and DC Entertainment for this ARC!
An adorable DC book that answers the questions about their favorite superheroes kids would love to know the answers to. Great graphics and colorful art create a fun feel and both my boys would love to have a copy for themselves-they were jealous I got to read it early.
I love DC Comics and this would be a great introduction to young readers. Thanks to #NetGalley for the chance to read early. All opinions are my own.
This is a cute read for all ages and kids to adults will have fun reading this story. The story is a great way to introduce children to the Justice league and adults will enjoy reading the story to their children. Its not easy to find books both parents and kids can enjoy but this one is a must read.
Thank you to Netgalley for the advance copy of this book.
This was a super sweet graphic novel with some of your favorite superheroes giving some great advice! I absolutely loved the art style and I think a lot of kids will enjoy this graphic novel.
Are the Justice League heroes always perfect? Or do they sometimes make mistakes, eat too much cake, smell like fish, make bad fashion choices, lose the video game, or leave a job half-done?
The Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Hawkgirl, Cyborg, and Aquaman answer all their fan mail from kids who wonder, "Are superheroes just like me?"
I loved the way the hilarious fan mail stories are woven into a bigger story as the Justice League battles an invasion of insectoid aliens. The writing is really clever to bring together so many different snippets of superhero life with little glimpses of the regular kids who are their most devoted fans.
I LOVED the artwork! It's clear and colorful, with beautiful panels that really show the action and enhance the comedy. The cartoony style is perfect for this type of graphic novel.
This book made me laugh, and I enjoyed every page!

This book is really cute and oftentimes hysterical. I loved the heartfelt and the silly moments. The art work is absolutely stunning, too!
When the Justice League of America isn't busy saving the world from giant alien bugs, you can find them answering their fan mail. Readers will finally get answers to the burning questions that they didn't even know they had about their favorite superheroes: Has Superman ever made a mistake? What does Aquaman smell like? How fast is the Flash, really? Readers are in for a laugh as they get some surprising, sometimes farcical responses and backstories. While each chapter is its own episode with a different hero, the stories are all united by the presence of mysterious giant bugs, which comes to a head at the book's conclusion. The bright, colorful illustrations will engage readers, and the heroes' traditional appearances will be immediately recognizable. We get to see that, with their prevalence of computers and smartphones, JLA is not only up-to-date on all the latest technology, but also just as dependent on it as the rest of us. Overall, this title is a fun, rare chance for readers to see that superheroes are just as imperfect as the rest of us (with the possible exception of Wonder Woman, whose only exhibited flaw comes from her childhood). A must for middle-grade superhero fans and great for any other readers who just want a laugh.
This was so much fun! Letters to the Justice League, plus an alien insect invasion! I can't wait to give this to the kids at my library.
I received an electronic ARC from DC Entertainment through NetGalley.
Graphic Novel
Clever weaving of reality with superhero life. Young readers ask questions via email to various Justice League members. Northrup then switches the story to show what's happening in the Super Hero's day wrapped around reading the email. The heroes answer honestly and share about the problems they encounter too.
Detailed illustrations support the text and enhance the story line.
Use to open dialogue about everyone having issues in their days and lives.
A fun little comic/story. My daughter bugged me to read more of it each night until we finished. Good moral and perfect for kids from about 6 to 10... especially those who need to hear that accidents happen sometimes.
A summary:The Justice League members answer fan mail with a backdrop of an insectoid invasion. The kids getting letters back learn that even if you are super, you aren't always perfect.
This book is set up as letters written to the Justice League from various kids. It shows how even superheroes have to cooperate, work on being kind and trustworthy. It also shows that they get embarrassed too and make mistakes. This was a great way to show kids that this is normal. It is a graphic that I believe is geared to kids from 2nd-5th grade.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but I enjoyed reading this. An interesting story with fun characters. Well written.
