What a great read. I found it funny to read about internet stalking her ex. Do people actually do this? Great fun easy to read
A Disconnected Christmas is hard to imagine. No cell phone? The main character is addicted because of her marriage gone bad, and it's not good for her. She is forced to refrain from cell phone use. She meets a guy during this time. Their relationship has some sexy moments. The characters are likeable and relatable. Will the relationship last when the cell phone ban is over? It's a fun fast read, and a good reminder of how much we use cell phones. Romcom fans will enjoy it. Thanks to NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.
A sweet, sexy, easy read, and a fun change from the Christmas books I usually read! Taking a break from the cellphone was a fun hook (and it didn't get preachy) while sending a nice reminder that we could all use to take a break from social media.
Ringbloom's writing was saucy and fun! Looking forward to more from the author.
This was a sweet, very easy read (I almost finished it in one sitting when I was poorly post Christmas). I thought the focus would be more on the challenge of being disconnected from social media, but it didn't really focus on that which was a little disappointing.
The characters were likeable and the story was realistic. It can be a little 'risque' in places and there are some frank discussions about sex so not suitable if you are a prude! I could see this book as a good rom-com movie, there is definitely scope for improvement and filling out the storyline.
A cutsie, easy read if you are looking to pass a few hours with a modern romance style book.
Ryan Ringbloom has done it again. A Disconnected Christmas is a sweet, fun rom-com with a ton of chemistry and heat. I really can't wait to read more books from her.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A great read -and I think we can all learn something from this book and pay less attention to social media!
Lindsey is on an enforced digital detox in the run up to christmas. That is when she meets Seth - everything seems to be going well, but will she return to her old ways once she gets her internet access back?
