This books was just so ridiculous.
I was rolling my eyes so much while reading this that I have a headache now.
Leslie North's books are always hit and miss for me, and this one was definitely a miss.
I hate insta-love, and this has a strong case of it.
The clock continues to tick. Each second passed by and Connall realized everything he had achieved might be lost. When all hope seems lost he meets Bernadette and he slowly begins to love again and reevaluate his life. Great ending to the series.
Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Connally and Bernadette romance left much to be desired. They quickly fall for each other after a romantic dinner and witty conversation. There's felt like a superficial romance that did very little to ignite my interest. There is some intrigue as Connally uses her to gather more intell on her father's involvement with his father's will but like a said nothing original or exciting.
I want to thank Netgalley and Leslie North for allowing me to read this last installment of The Beaumount Brothers series.
Connall Beaumount is the last of the Beaumount brothers to marry. Bernadette Rowland is a wolf researcher who lives out in Montana wilderness. A chance meeting in a restaurant sparks a journey for both of them. Will Connall find a wife within 2 months? Can Bernadette fight her feelings for Connall once she finds out what's behind his attraction to her? Can they really be together once the truth is out? All will be revealed in the final installment of The Beaumount Brothers.
Leslie North delivers it all with page turning romance which is guaranteed to melt your heart. Loved this book and this author. Always has me coming back for more each and every time. Absolutely recommend
This is a quick yet highly entertaining romantic adventure filled with deception, drama, sweetly sexy moments and undeniable passion..... this might have been the last Beaumont Brother in the series but he sure did not disappoint... loved the witty banter and emotionally thrilling twists.
Leslie North's The Beaumont Brothers book 3 is just a good as the first 2. I liked the progression of the story. Enjoyed the romance.
Leslie North is a hit or miss for me. I have read a lot of her different series and I can't say there is one I am in love with. However sometimes within her series I find a gem I fall in love with. Either the Characters, Story, or just her writing style. This time it was the banter between the two lead characters was fun, moved with ease throughout the story and written perfectly. Readers know the ending of the story before they get close to the end and yet the this story will keep readers hook. Connall Beaumont, is a little to perfect but hey its a romance right. Bernadette is the perfect blend of humor, femininity with her giggles and girl next door charm. All in the background of a Billionaire who can have anything, anyone and be anywhere.
I usually avoid these stories because of how cheesy they tend to be. Yet here I am singing the books praises. Yes there is hot sex scenes but it flows into the story naturally.
This is a stand a lone or read as part of the series readers will not be left behind with what they choose.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher Relay Publishing for a copy of Leslie North The Billionaire's Last Chance
Connall and Bernadette, the main couple, just didn’t seem to fit as a couple. Heck, they didn’t even share one common interest, except for spending smexy time together. Even they repeatedly mentally voiced that same sentiment. But 77% into it, the mechanical writing just gave me another reason to call it quits. The outline of the story was there but content just felt plugged in. I just wasn’t feeling a worthwhile romantic connection between these two supposedly lovebirds.
Here's to hoping others enjoy it. To me it felt like a short novella thrown in to meet a deadline.
Title: The Billionaire’s Last Chance, Series: The Beaumont Brothers (Book 3), Author: Leslie North, Pages: 136, stand-alone but part of a series, didn't make a good, interesting couple, no common interests, steamy scenes.

Quick witted short story.
Well let me start by saying I have become a huge fan of this author. She writes with so much meaning. Some books are quick witted story lines that are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills.
Authors Blurb: Connall Beaumont, CEO and COO of B3 Motors, was just about to propose to the woman of his dreams when it all went south. Turns out, the lady had a habit of killing her husbands, so Conall will have to look elsewhere if he wants to find a wife. It just so happens that the stunningly beautiful woman who witnessed his humiliation is the daughter of the lawyer who’s executing his grandfather’s will—a will Conall would do just about anything to get his hands on in order to save his company and the livelihoods of the people who work for him. If putting his hands on a beautiful woman will get him closer to that goal, then he’s game. Besides, there’s something about Bernadette Rowland that has him thinking she could be more than just a pawn in his grandfather’s game.
Bernadette wasn’t looking for a man, but when Conall inserted himself into her life, she didn’t put up much of a struggle. He’s sexy and smart and seems genuinely interested in her work as a wolf researcher. Bernadette can’t resist his charm and before long, she’s swept up into a world far away from the isolation and loneliness of the Montana wilderness. But just when she thinks she’s found someone who could be her mate for life, she discovers the real reason he’s been piling on the charm, and their perfect romance crumbles.
Can two people who are worlds apart find happiness together or are they each destined for life as a lone Wolfe?
I really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.
This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.
Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕
I liked this book and the previous titles. It was a fun read and I will definitely recommend this to all my customers who like a good romance.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the third in a series, but reads well as a stand alone. I enjoyed this book! Bernadette was refreshing, different and fun. Connall was also different in a good way. Extremely wealthy but still connects with his employees. Thanks good read. I rate it 4 stars. I think most romance readers would enjoy.
You've heard this story, guy sitting in a bar sees a stunning woman walk in and has to meet her. That was Connall Beaumont. Little does he know she is the daughter of the attorney handling his grandfather's will. Bernadette is attracted to him but then she is only in Seattle for a short time. She lives with wolves in the wild of Montana. How different can two people be? The story goes from there. H eis the last brother who needs to marry to keep the business. The story takes you on the ride of two people from different worlds. Loved the ending and maybe not what you would think.
The concluding story in the series involves Connall Beaumont who has less than two months to find a wife according to the stipulations laid out in his grandfather's will. So when he meets the daughter of his grandfather's lawyer in a bar he piles on the charm and will do whatever it takes to save his family company.
Bernadette Rowland is a wolf researcher who finds Connall to be quite charming and is flattered by his interest in her. But when she discovers that she is a pawn in Connall's game where will things go from there?
I've received a ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Mediocre at best and the romance went faster than I expected to. It all seemed rushed and unrealistic. Nothing worth raving about. Just a quick, easy romance novel to read if you're trying to kill some time.
This is the third book in the Beaumont Brother's series and I have read all three. They work fine as stand-alone stories and there is no need to have read the first two before diving into this one. That said, I enjoyed the first couple of books and so was looking forward to reading the final one.
I really liked Connall and in many ways enjoyed his story more than those for his brothers.
Unlike the two previous books, Connall doesn't have a pretend partner and then fiance. He falls for Bernadette quickly and properly, but he still needs to be married in order to meet the terms of this grandfather's will. Unfortunately, Bernadette doesn't know that this is what he needs to do and when she finds out, she feels used.
I liked both the growth of their relationship and how they dealt with the problems that they faced. Like the previous stories, this was a very quick read and in an ideal world, I would have liked a little bit more. Both in terms of Connall and Bernadette's story and more of the characters from the previous stories. That said, it didn't really detract from this one and it was a great, quick read.
I'm a bit sorry that the series is over, but I'm really pleased I got to read it.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own
Bernadette lives in Montana on a wolf sanctuary. Where she studies them in a natural habitat. She returns to Seattle to get her father to help her with a grant. Connall is the CEO of B3 Engines along with his two brothers. When his grandfather passed away, he stipulated in his will that the boys has so long to find their true love or the company would be sold. Connall is sitting in a bar when a beautiful woman walks in. Bernadette is meeting her father for dinner and sees the attractive British man and accepts a date from him. But her father is the executor of Connall’s grandfathers will and tells Bernadette that those boys are no good.
The closer they get, the harder it’s going to be for Connall to tell her about the will. When she finds out from her father, she is angry and hurt. She cuts off all communication with Connall and goes back to Montana. Connall realizes what a jerk he was and instead of making her give up her life, he hope to compromise and win back the woman he loves.
Great story. Sexy. Secrets. A man who is not a nature person and a woman who lives in a tree with nature. You can always count on Ms. North to make you blush reading some of the scenes.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for Netgalley *
The Billionaire’s Last Chance is the final book in this three book series and reveals the climax to events that have plagued the Beaumont brothers since book one. Connall and Bernadette are the perfect couple in appearance, but the reality couldn’t be further from the truth. Not only do their professional lives travel very different paths, but their geographic locations are thousands of miles apart too.
Bernadette is a woman most at home in the wild, and that’s a very literal description. Living in a remote Montana sanctuary, she revels in the wonders of nature. Connall however is the epitome of the corporate CEO, and most at home in the hustle and bustle of the city. But can they make it work?
If you’ve read the first two books, you know the angst experienced by Connall and his brothers and the consequences to their future happiness; this final book won’t see the problem go quietly into the night. There will be emotional conflict, heartbreaking misunderstandings, and an urgency to discover what really matters in life. I loved how Ms North wrapped this series and Connall and Bernadette where a genuinely likeable couple. I’m looking forward to reading more of Ms North’s exciting stories.
The story of Connall and Bernadette - opposites attract.
The third book in this series, Connall needs to get married to meet the terms of his grandfathers will, or face losing the company he built up with his brothers. Then he meets Bernadette - she is the daughter of his grandfathers lawyer and doesn't know about the stipulations of the will - what will happen if she does find out?
Connall and Bernadette couldn't be any more different. It's true in this instance though, opposites do attract. I have enjoyed the whole series but The Billionaire's Last Chance, is my favorite.
