Ethan Masters agrees to a blind date and will get more than he bargained for. He loves his job in the Air Force as a K-9 handler and is backed by a family history of military service. When a mall is evacuated, he is immediately attracted to a woman who he has to persuade to leave the mall. When he shows up for his blind date, Isabella Knowles the woman from the mall, is his date. He is pleased…she is not. Isabella realizes that Ethan is in the military and she has no intention in getting involved with another military man. Can Ethan change her mind? He loves his career, but also thinks about marriage and a family of his own. Ethan will need to be patient with Isabella as her brief marriage to a military man, ended in tragedy. Will Ethan be able to win her love and change her mind about a military man? I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to give an honest review. (by paytonpuppy)

Blind Date Bet by author Nicole Flockton held some intrigue. A slow burning story, but Isabelle and Ethan’s characters held promise and enough interest throughout the story to keep one’s attention fixed to the read.

BLIND DATE BET by Nicole Flockton is a short easy read. Written with no graphic sex and no profanity. It's a sweet story about an Airman and a school teacher. There's lots of back and forth in the relationship, but love prevails.

This is my first book by this author and I have to say I was really impressed. This book made me feel so many emotions and sometimes I felt more then one emotion at a time. It had my laughing, crying and even at times I was so frustrated I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. This book is about Isabella and Ethan. Isabella had once been married to Travis who enlisted in the army and he had died during a training exercise. Isabella never got over the heartbreak that she felt and has closed herself off from love and from ever getting involved with a military man again. Her dad sets her up on a blind date with Ethan. Sparks fly when they meet but once Isabella figures out he is in the military she runs. Problem is she cannot out run how he makes her feel. Ethan is not only hot but he is supper sweet and an amazing catch. He wants Isabella so bad but he is not sure what he can do to make that happen. This book kept me up until the wee hours of the morning. I am an anxiously waiting the next book in this series. I hope in it we get a sneak peak at what Isabella and Ethan are up too. Thanks Net Galley. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.

Great romance and chemistry that will warm you up during these cold winter months! Classic romance without many surprises but you'll still be engaged and rooting for them to make it together at the end!

Ethan and Isabella romantic love story was sweet and with a bit of angst. Isabella lost someone she loved in the military and didn't want to go through that again with another military guy. Ethan shows her that he's worth the risk and through various dates and sexy time they fall in love. This is nothing special but a quick satisfying romantic love story.

It was a good, light read! I enjoyed it, being a love story, but a little extra in it with the military dog and her father's story.

An alarm blares as Isabella is walking out of store and an announcement is made to evacuate the mall. Isabela is a teacher and sees a child she wants to help but is told to move along.Ethan had a fluke blind date and is now interested in meeting isabella. The bossy guy that told her to move along is Ethan and now they're on a date,.

I am giving the story 2 1/2 stars due to the fact the Author series is called Mans best friend and from the cover you expect the dog to play a huge part in the book but really it is used for what you expect the guy figures out something is wrong because the dog won't leave the woman he care fors.

The story has a gun shire Isabella who doesn't seem to want to like Ethan K9 handler but after so many stops and starts she finally confesses her reason why.

The story starts off with a ok lets see where this story goes to finishing and wondering why I even read it. The story is disconnected in many places. The side story of her father is only used to egg her on to ask out Ethan after she turned him down. Which she comes off little nutty for even the most patience guy.

The story feels like it was written in pieces and the author threw it all together leaving his disjointed in many areas.

Thank you to Netgalley and The publisher Tule Publishing for the advance copy of Nicole Flockton Blind Date Bet.

I struggled to finish this book. I found it difficult to like the heroine, Isabella. I understand that she was hurt after losing a loved one in the war. However, she held it against Ethan to the point where she was just irrational and unlikable. And Ethan really hung in there with her. Part of me was rooting for him to dump her and go find someone else. Some of the scenes were cheesy--like both wearing matching red fedoras on the first date.. And some made no sense--like how Isabella went back into the shopping mall during a bomb threat because she thought she saw one of her elementary school students only to abandon looking for the child.

I’m a bit torn with this book, whilst I enjoyed it, I found the characters took a while to warm too. Isabella came across as very cold and snarky, and the fact that Ethan was so eager to see her again, after her showing no redeeming qualities, made him seem like a sap! Once the story got moving, I began to enjoy it but still didn’t particularly like Isabella, and I actually felt a bit sorry for Ethan who just put up with her nonsense

Honestly, slightly boring novel with uninteresting characters and content. Isabella emtions were too up and down for me, and how she treated Ethan was unnecessary. It was hard for me to feel a real connection between them nor did I see any real chemistry.

Isabella grew up in a military home, had her mom leave her with her dad at a young age because she couldn’t handle the military life, and still decided she wanted to be a military wife. At 18, she married her high school sweetheart who had enlisted. He was killed not long after in a freak training accident. She decided to never get involved with another military man. It’s ten years later, she’s a fifth grade teacher, and still avoiding any kind of commitment.

Ethan grew up with both parents, and almost his entire extended family, in the military. He knew he would be a career military man too. He is currently a K9 officer and he loves what he does. He’s had relationships, but nothing that felt long term.

Ethan and Isabella meet on a blind date. Both are attracted, but of course, Isabella tucks tail and runs. Poor Ethan is clueless and Isabella isn’t filling in the blanks. Ethan is very patient but also very frustrated. Just when he thinks he’s made some headway, she sends him packing again.

Is it formulaic and predictable? Yes. Did I want to smack Isabella a couple times? Yes. But it was a pleasant enough read to pass a few hours. I am definitely intrigued by Caleb.

I receieved a free ARC of this book from Netgalley and here is my honest review.

I have never read a book by this author before but the plot sounded interesting and I am glad I read it I could not put it down.

Isabella Knowles made a vow after loosing and loving a solider once to never again. No dating military men. She has enough 5th grades in her class to love. Her father does not agree. He sets her up on a blind date and she goes never thinking she would want to break her vow.

Ethan Masters loves his career as a K9 handler in the air force. While thinking about his future he agrees to a blind date bet while he's drunk. Ethan isn't against a wife and house a kids but he loves his job. He never dreams his bet will lead him to a woman that fits his dreams of the future. He meets Isabella however she does not want to get involved with a military man.

Can Ethan and Isabella work there way through her fears? This story was amazing. I loved it from beginning to end. I couldn't wait to find out what happened. I really think you will enjoy this story. Please check it out. I will be buying a copy for one of my friends since it was so amazing. Can't wait to check out her next book.

Blind Date Bet is the first in Tule’s series, The Man’s Best Friend, and it is a great way to start! There are confused feelings, warring natures and chances for love throughout the pages. You will find yourself sympathizing with both the character of Isabella Knowles and of Ethan Masters because of their internal struggles to form a relationship. Both have credible hang ups about relationships that could get way too much in the way unless they can find viable solutions-viable for both of them.

A sweet, easy to read military romance, with a bit of heartbreak, a lot of healing and growing and some super swoon worthy moments. This was an enjoyable book and I look forward to more of the series!

This was an okay read...I found myself frustrated reading this because I found myself wanting to strangle Isabella!! She was both annoying and sympathetic. Ethan was a hero with unlimited patience. There was good chemistry but it felt like the author was going all over the place with trying to explain Isabella's reason for avoiding military men; her poor relationship with her father; etc. I was also a little surprised by how little Ethan's K-9 job factored into the plot. I was expecting more given the the series "Man's Best Friend" notice on the cover. This won't be a reread but it wasn't terrible either.
