Ugh just lik the first book, made me crave ice cream all the way through.....even with some of the unique flavors she was co I g up with. Likeable and Fun characters. Did not expect the ending to turn out quit the way it did. Curious to see what follows next with the love triangle, the teens and Grams.
This was a good cozy mystery. Kate runs an ice cream shop and is catering a big event for a celebrity who ends up dead. Kate begins to investigate. There are really only a couple of suspects. I like ice cream as much as the next person but some of the flavors she comes up with are horrible sounding. This was an enjoyable book.
This second helping in the series was even better than the first!
Let me give you the scoop-this is a delightfully delicious book.
The characters were written realistically and were entertaining. The whodunit was well written and kept me guessing.
I was entertained from start to finish and look forward to reading the next in the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This is a delightful cozy mystery filled with likeable characters, a beautiful Hudson River Valley setting, a well developed plot , some potential romance and lots and lots of delicious ice cream. Kate McKay has opened Lickety Splits, an ice cream shop, in her home town of Woofert's Roost. She is thrilled when she is asked to cater a party at the home of world famous fashion designer Omar DeVane. But while the party is going on Omar is murdered- strangled with his own tie and when that chases the tourists out of town, with Kate's profits going along with them, she decides to try and investigate on her own. The plot includes snippets of life among the rich and famous, with plenty of twists and turns and , most importantly, Kate' imaginative flavors of ice cream. If you are not hungry when you start reading this book you will be reaching into your freezer for the nearest ice cream container with the first few pages!
