Short but enjoyable encounter between a Union officer and a Southern spy. They have a past, and it looks like they’ll have a long future too.
What I don’t understand is why she played so coy and he so rough at the beginning. I get that she was worried about what might happen to her, but by the time they meet up for a few minutes later everything seems to have changed, though nothing really did.
This is weird to say, but this might have been better as one scene rather than two.

Rose O'Conner, a Confederate spy in the Civil War that just ended. She attends a party of Yankees. Unexpected she runs into Captain Grant Franks whom she had met before.
When Franks learns about her secret and there is only one way to keep this charming gentleman from telling the truth about her to the Union.

A very tasteful written story.

I received an advance readers copy in exchange for an honest review. Be forewarned this is not really much of a story – it is literally 1 sex scene with a page of exposition. But I guess one could argue it does the job
