One of the best suspense books I've read in recent memory. This was a quick read and the author kept me hooked. Thanks NetGalley for the ARC.

Thank you Harlequin/NetGalley for the ARC of Dear Wife by Kimberly Belle.
This one started out as many others as noted in the summary above. A troubled marriage, someone goes missing, investigations start, loved ones questioned, leads pursued. There's so much I can't allude to for fear of spoilers so I'll just say that at about 90% read I became very angry with the author. My anticipated star rating plummeted. Belle ripped the rug out from under me. I knew there's going to be a twist... I only read twisty mysteries and murdery novels. But this ticked me off. And then it didn't. Kimberly Belle led me back into the finale with the remaining 10% of the book and gave me closure. Really sweet closure! Even though it has the same very popular formula it is definitely worth reading. This is the first book I've read from this author but am eager for another.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free, electronic ARC of this novel received in exchange for an honest review.
Beth Murphy is on the run, trying to put miles between her and her abusive husband, a feat that took over a year to plan. Now, she is desperate to start over with a new look and a new life. Miles away, Jeffrey Hardison comes home to an empty house and soon realizes that his wife, Sabine, is missing. With her car in the driveway and her phone on its charger, it appears as if Sabine has disappeared without a trace. Soon the police are examining all leads- most of which lead them to suspect Jeffrey. Determined to solve the case, the detective in charge is willing to stop at nothing to find the answers. Where is Sabine? Who is Beth? What is their connection?
Kimberley Belle is the author of “Three Days Missing” and “The Marriage Lie”, and it is only recently that I was introduced to her work. This was most definitely a mistake on my part, as I had not known what I was missing.
With similarities to “Gone Girl” (yes, I said it!), “Dear Wife” is an addictive, suspense-fueled mystery, full of intrigue and drama.
There is one “ah-ha!” moment in this novel, when one of the major mysteries is revealed, and for the most part, the secrets in this novel are kept under lock and key, remaining mostly unpredictable until Belle reveals them like a sucker punch to the gut. The plotline in “Wife” was a page-turner, grabbing my attention at page one and never letting go.
The story is told from the standpoint of Beth, Jeffrey and Marcus, and each section flows easily into the next, from one cliff hanger ending to another.
A powerful novel fueled by intense mystery and intrigue, “Dear Wife” is an unpredictable, emotional delight. Kimberley Belle has yet to let me down, and “Wife” too, does not disappoint.

I had the opportunity to read this book thanks to NetGalley.
This book was very entertaining and fast paced. It is written from the point of view of all the main characters and it’s very interesting to hear their extremely different sides to the story. The entire time you’re not sure who is telling the true story. Beth is running away from her abusive husband. Meanwhile, Jeffrey discovers his wife, Sabine, is missing. Is Beth really Sabine? Is Jeffrey as bad as she says? This book keeps all the secrets until the amazing ending. I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend it to all thriller lovers. Thanks again to NetGalley for the opportunity to read it!

What a great book! Kimberly Belle’s books just keep getting better and better. I thought I had this one figured out at about the halfway point, but then something would happen to make me think I was wrong. I actually was partly right, but oh that ending! Kimberly Belle has become a must read author for me. Can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.

Kimberly Belle does it again! I have not picked up a book of hers that I didn't love! This one was no exception.

Dear Wife is told from different perspectives. We start with Beth. She is on the run from someone. Who is she? Where is she going? What is she going to do for her future? So many question!

Then we meet Jeffery. He is kind of a dick. His wife is missing. Where is she? Did he do something to her?

Finally, we meet Marcus. He is the cop assigned to find Jeffery's wife, but is there more to this story?

Most of the characters are unlikable. Some of them may have redeeming qualities, but I found myself routing for bad things to happen to some of them. You will not be disappointed if you read this book!

Thank you #netgalley for an early review copy of #DearWife!

I was given this book by NetGalley for an honest review -
No one knows what goes on behind closed doors.
Beth finds herself in an abusive relationship. She starts saving and planning her escape.
Her car is found but where is she? Is the husband responsible for her disappearance.
This book will keep you turning the pages.

I was hooked from the first page and it just kept getting better and better. Sabine is a real estate agent with an abusive husband and she goes missing. "Beth" is on the run from her abusive husband. When you think you know what is going on, you get thrown a curve ball and everything changes. This is my favorite kind of book with twists and turns that keep you wondering, guessing and speculating with an ending that I would never have imagined. I inhaled this book in record time because I could not put it down. Thank you NetGalley and Harlequin for the opportunity to read and review this book that still has me shaking my head. If you want a good thriller, I highly recommend this book.

Once again Kimberly Belle knock it out of the park. I will admit that it took me to 78% of the book to figure out who to blame and who to believe.

I don’t want to get in to the plot or characters of the story because I don’t want to risk giving anything away and possibly ruining the story for other readers.

I do want to say that this story is very very relevant to our times. Sadly, I am sure this story happens to women too often.

This story will put you through so many emotions: anxiety, anger, sadness, fear, hopefulness and frustration. Despite so many negative emotions, this book will make my favorites list of 2019.

I believe that one special characteristic of this story is that it is totally unbelievable which is not always the case of with psychological thrillers.

Right off the bat, we meet “Beth.” She is running from her abusive husband and has no plans to look back. The stakes are high. If she fails and he finds her, he will kill her.

Next we meet Jeffrey, who doesn’t seem like a terrible guy on the surface, but looks can be deceiving. He returns home from a trip to find his dazzling, likeable and successful wife, Sabine, missing. They have some issues in their marriage–she started working as a real estate agent a couple years before and quickly overtook Jeffrey as the primary breadwinner, but nothing that seems to raise a red flag.

Finally, we meet Marcus, the dedicated, hard-working detective who is working around the clock to locate Sabine. He’s a little rough around the edges, but has a heart of gold, even helping out his old partner’s widow with her kids when she needs him.

Of course, Dear Wife is psychological suspense. And what do we know about the genre? Nothing is as it seems. I found this one to be a satisfying, fast-read with some twists and turns I didn’t see coming. Well, maybe I saw them coming a little bit–but not from a mile away. And I found the twists to be fresh, not your average run-of-the-mill twists.

A well crafted thriller, which kept me in suspense right until the end. The multiple narrators helped me gain perspective on each of the characters in order to understand the whole picture. A wild ride right until the last page! Thanks to NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book.

Okay! For starters, this has made the top of the ‘Killer Reads of ‘19’ list in my book group! This has been one of THE best books I’ve read in a long time. Seriously! I’ve read some really good books, but this one...this one is something else! It’s the icing on the cake, the cherry on top. It’s truly an incredible read!

A gripping novel, following a woman on the run from her abusive husband. There are alternate narratives, which is either hit or miss with me most times, this time a definite hit. It’s so hard to say anything because I do not want to give anything away. I wasn’t expecting what happened and I enjoyed that, so I’m not going to ruin it for anyone else. Just know that this book is filled with twists and turns, thrills and chills, mystery, suspense, drama, all of the good things you want in a killer thriller. Definitely shouting this one from the roof top!

Thank you Netgalley and Harlequin - Trade Publishing for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Dear Wife is a great book with and amazing ending. It had me guessing through each chapter of what was going to happen next. At the beginning it was a bit confusing to figure out exactly what was going on, but it was so well written that it kept my interest. If you like a thriller that is slowly built up to an explosive ending, this book is for you.

5 Stars for this heart pounding read. Wow! This book will put you thru a ton of different emotions...anxious, enraged, suspicious, frightened and hopeful. This is a mystery, within a mystery...one woman missing? Three men searching? Secrets that can’t be told, cause who would listen.

Ms. Belle hits it out of the park again. I loved ‘Three Days Missing’, and need to read ‘The Marriage Lie’...but not right now. I need to let my heart settle back into an even keel.

This story is haunting, it will open your eyes about abuse. What would you do? How far would you go?

******will post review to Amazon on pub day.

I was anticipating a good book but this one totally blew me away! I don't want to give anything away because any hints or clues will ruin the last part of the book...trust me, this novel will keep you up late at night and maybe into the hours of the next morning. It's that good!

Told in alternating points of view, Dear Wife is a suspense about a battered wife on the run, her husband who is looking for her, and the detective on her trail.

I review so many books and don't often give out five stars but this one earned it. I love a plot that I haven't seen before and if a book can shock me, even better!

Fantastic story! I can't say too much without giving the story away but it was really an excellent book. Each time I put it down I could not wait to get back into it. For some it might be obvious, for others it might be less so, but I for one devoured this book and loved every minute of it. Kimberly Belle has just upped her game - I thought The Marriage Lie was great, and this one is even better!
