The Night Swimmers will probably be my favourite novel of 2019 and I look forward to writing a fulsome review. In the meantime, first impressions: at first I was concerned the elliptical, collage aspect (and the mix of real and fiction) would be distracting and take me out of the story but it was mesmerizing, and with shimmering moments. Especially the lyrical descriptions of swims and solitude, the meditative aspect of the water and its call.
