These little microromances are legit. I LOVED this one! Hot and relatable. Who hasn't fantasized about a boss at some point? What would you do if stuck with one in an elevator? One that you've already fooled around with?
Definitely worth the read!
I wasn't a fan. I think it just wasn't something that resonated with me, I couldn't get myself into this collection.
I don't really have a lot to say about this one. I didn't *love* it, but it was a decent erotic novella. Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for a copy of the ARC.
A short, steamy erotic story that will make you need a cold shower after reading it. Wow! I hope to read more from this author.
This is the first f/f novella in Carina's Dirty Bits line, so you know I had to read it. It's boss-employee, which is one of my NO buttons, but it was navigated well, I thought. Through a flashback, we see the heroines hook up for the first time at an office party. In present day, they get stuck in an elevator together. And because this is a romance, the fire department can't come for a couple of hours because they're putting out a massive fire. (The heroines can come though. Had to make the joke, not sorry.)
Like so many of the Dirty Bits line, the heroines have an established history before the events of the novella. This means that the sexytimes have emotional depth and move the romance forward. This is good because the book reads a little like "how many different ways can women fuck," and isn't heavy on plot. It's very much a bottle episode (elevator episode?).
Read it if you want a quick, erotic story with two women, at least one of whom is bi. Yes, there's an HEA!
Content Warning: boss-employee, fisting

A Hot and Fast read!
Two chicks stuck in an elevator getting it on. It was a super short story, but packed into the pages was just hot sex. It's a pure smut kind of book, my kind of book. Definitely kept my attention and I liked the characters despite there not being much to them. It was mainly a book of sex and that was fine to me. Only not 5 stars because I wanted more. Short stories are too... well.... too short!! :D

Going Down is an erotic short story by Barbara Bell. Ellie and her boss Casey get stuck in an elevator and their attraction for each other leads to a sexy, hot read. A thoroughly enjoyable book.
This a great short story. If you want something steamy and quick, This is perfect. They had a past and the lead to to them finally being together was perfect.
After a quick hookup with her boss Casey at their work's Christmas party, Ellie tries her best to avoid her gorgeous manager. But that is about to change when they both get trapped inside an elevator for hours and have to face their feelings for each other...
This is a hot and entertaining erotica novella part of the 'Dirty Bits' collection by Carina Press. Written in third person from the point of view of Ellie, the reader is stuck in her headspace with her funny, sarcastic and insecure personality. It also provides an air of mystery surrounding Cassie that suits the character's personality and her position as Ellie's boss.
The novella starts in the present as the elevator gets stuck and both mains are trapped inside. There are a few flashbacks from the Christmas party in which Ellie and Cassie had a bit of action in a toilet stall. The transitions between present and past are seamless and gradually give background to the story.
The sex scenes are very well written and have all the ingredients for a great erotica read: steamy and varied. They showcase the characters' personalities and their budding relationship. Worth a read for erotica fans.
Overall, a well written, entertaining and hot erotica novella. 4.5 stars.

I have been loving the hell out of Carina's Dirty Bits line. The novellas are short and sexy AF. I loved the idea behind Going Down. It's sort of a forbidden office romance between a supervisor and her employee who are trapped in an elevator. Things are strained between them after a lust-filled encounter during a Christmas party, but it doesn't take long before the temperatures rise and they stop holding back. As a novella, I enjoyed it. The story kept my attention from start to finish. It was sexy and did a fantastic job introducing me to F/F romances. However, it wasn't my favorite. The attraction between Ellie and Casey was there, but it felt very one-sided, possibly because the novella is only in Ellie's perspective. I wanted more depth that really wasn't there. I don't know if it's because it was my first F/F romance, but I definitely wanted to explore their connection more instead of focusing on their sexual chemistry. Overall, Going Down was the short and sexy romance I love about Carina's Dirty Bits, but I wanted more from it.
If you're looking for a fast, steamy read, this one certainly fits the bill. Most of the story takes place in the elevator with a flashback to Ellie and Casey's first encounter just months before. Considering the short length of the book, I didn't expect much in the way of character depth, but this one surprised me. Of course, there isn't space to get to know a lot about this pair, but they do have some history, and there are feelings that shine through quite well. The steamy fun is certainly hot with the exception of one bit that is more cringe-worthy than erotic, at least for me. All in all, and entertaining bit of erotic romance.
This story is absolutely scorching and so freaking good. Another great book in the dirty bits collection. Author to watch out for. Would recommend
3 1/2 STARS
A quick, hot read that I very much enjoyed. I know it's just a short erotic story, but I found myself wanting more from the two, especially from Casey. The fisting scene was hot, but I totally admit I still had a moment of "wait, what about lube? and some prepping?!". I would definitely try another from Bell in the future.
Going down was a steamy romance full of misunderstanding from a tipsy tryst in a bathroom at the company Christmas Party. Then the unthinkable happens and they get stuck in an elevator for hours. It is a quick read, well written and edited. Great story and loved the ending. I fully recommend.
This really was all the dirty bits, and it was so good. I was blushing reading it. Definitely recommend to people who love romance.
3/5 - lesbian erotica
This is a short 50 page read recounting the first sexual encounter between Casey and Ellie while stuck in a elevator for two hours. Casey is Ellie’s boss, Ellie identifies as bisexual but has zero experience with women sexually.
Casey makes an advance on Ellie at an office Christmas party. Ellie has second thoughts and stops anything from going further after she gets Casey to climax. The story is about miscommunication and second chances.
I rated it 3/5 because Ellie is low key annoying with her mumbling and Casey is high key aggressive which turned me off. I would recommend this story to fellow readers that want a quick lesbian erotica that has one basic goal.
This was exactly as advertised - an hour-long erotic romance with a nice HEA (happily ever after) ending. It did a good job working real emotions and feelings into such a short story. And it was pretty steamy, too!
I will definitely be looking to Harlequin and Carina Press for more stories like this in the future!

Going down is a super short book by Barbara Bell. The heroines had some fun at the bathroom stall at the office's Christmas party, but there was some misunderstanding and since then things have been awkward between them. Now though, they are trapped in an elevator together and they are forced to face each other and their feelings.
The book might be short (13k words), but I was very happy with what we got. It's like a second chance romance, so there is no insta-lust or something similar. This is the story of them been brave enough to get their happy ending. It was a little angsty but in a good way. You should be prepared for a quicky read with some hot scenes.
