This book is one in a series exploring different aspects of the burgeoning esports industry: from women in the profession to cheating, to the development of professional esport teams. With this volume, we get a survey of the different types of esports teams, how they are backed by big business (mostly traditional sports team owners) and how esports looks to challenge traditional sports in the very near future.

The book is intended for grades 4-7 but does not talk down to the audience. It is well researched and covers the subject thoroughly but lightly. I'd suggest this might even be a good book for parents unsure about a child's interest in becoming a professional esports player. Certainly, it is a starting point for discussions.

The book gives a brief history of esports teams, the inclusion of NBA and then soccer orgs investing in esports teams, and then the wider perspective of mainstreaming esports through leagues such as Overwatch, which is the first to create teams local to cities around the world.

There are plenty of pictures and factoids and it is an easy but informative read.
