Incredible gripping story!! Loved how you thought the main plot had happened then they throw more unexpected turn of events in there and completely blow you away!! Amazing domestic thriller and can’t wait to read more from this author.
Excellent book! Loved the characters and it was a great storyline. I would highly recommend this book.
I enjoyed this book the writing and plot was good and so was the pace.I did guess who the killer was but as it was revealed during the book I only just got there before the reveal so it was no big deal. There were still a few surprises thrown in,that I didn't see coming.I also liked the police team especially the main police man would be good to see him in another book.Overall I would recommend this book and I enjoyed reading it.Thanks to the publisher and netgalley for an ARC.
This is a good solid psychological thriller and makes for a quick read. I had an idea what was going on quite early in the book but it in no way spoiled my enjoyment at all as it was so well written and as they say a real page turner but perhaps not many surprises. My first book by this author and I look forward to reading more from her in the future.
My thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for the chance to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
Laurie is both dreading and looking forward to tonight. Her husband, whom she hasn't seen for awhile, is coming for dinner. Robert (Laurie's husband) wants to talk about the next step in their relationship. Try to get together, again? Divorce? Robert has a love child with Claire and maybe he wants to be with them permanently? Laurie drinks and drinks and Robert does not show up...
This thriller is a bit predictable yet quite interesting. I honestly did not want to put the book down! A few intertwining relationships in this read makes for a really great story. Since the characters are so excellently defined - this adds to the great read. I definitely would recommend !
Many Thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for an excellent read!
The Couple on Cedar Close has left me with mixed feelings, I enjoyed the storyline, it's paced nicely and writing style is good. However there is not a single likeable character (and the author really wants you to like them), I found the storyline predictable and the ending even more so. DI Dan Riley waffles is the worst part of this book (yes even worse than Robert!). It's worth a read if you don't read many thrillers otherwise it's boring.
I enjoyed reading this book. It had a good story to it. I liked the variety of characters in it. It is my first book read by this author. I hope to read more books by this author.
This was a good thriller. Reminded me a lot of the Girl on the Train but more disturbing. Laurie is a poor woman caught in the middle of a disturbing tragedy. Her husband is found murdered and all evidence points to her. Good thing she has a very determined detective on the case. The author does a great job revealing every new evidence and fitting all the pieces together like a puzzle. A definite page turner!!
The Couple on Cedar Close gripping mystery with some creepy twists. Not only will you want to know who did it, you’ll be super unsettled as to why!
Flipping heck! It's a while since I've raced through a book like this, so engrossed that I literally did nothing today except read. I was caught from the very first line and it wouldn't let me go.
This is a story full of really twisted characters, and a police investigation that was always going to be difficult with a psychopath or two on the loose. I loved DI Dan Riley and will definitely be reading the first book in the series now, while hoping there are more to come.
The story is so well written, the characters so fleshed out and real, it was like watching a movie in my mind. excellent stuff!
Wow!!! This book is a very superbly written courtroom drama that will evoke feelings of empathy and leave you spinning. Trust me, this is one you don't want to miss—it's going to be huge! Thank you so much to NetGalley for providing me with an Advanced Readers Copy.
