The premise of this book is a bit weird, starting it out on shaky footing. It requires a pretty big willing suspension of disbelief. THe plot follows internal rules, for the most part. I don't know that it would hold up to repeat readings.

Oh, Awesome Dog 5000...we already can't wait for Book 2! For those readers that love Dogman, Press Start or the Enginerds series, you will certainly find entertainment and delight in Awesome Dog. When Marty moves into the neighborhood in the house of an old inventor, he and his new friends discover quite the invention and trouble along with it.
The book is wildly entertaining, fast paced, funny and enjoyable from start to finish. I read it with my six-year-old son who absolutely loved it and couldn't get enough. He looked forward to reading time every day and was sad when it was over. I think that is the best review you can get!
