This book was too funny, yet so real at the same time. I first heard of Celeste Barber via her hilarious Instagram celebrity pose "remakes" but that was all I really knew about her. With Challenge Accepted, Barber lets readers deeper into her world to show a whole new side of herself. She talks about married life, being a parent, growing up with ADHD, her #metoo experiences, and more. Not only is Barber witty in how she relates tough parts of her life but she's also real in a way that anyone can identify with. Her brutal honesty and humor could bring light to anyone reading this book. I enjoyed reading her work, both the dark and the light.

Sometimes we all just need a good belly laugh. A book that brings true joy to your day, where you just want to sit down and laugh and be happy. THIS is that book! Celeste's take on life and the world around us is fresh and something we probably all could use more of. I hope this is the sign of many many good things to come from Celeste!

I think Celeste Barber is hysterical on Instagram, so I was looking forward to learning more about her. Looking back, I'm not sure I needed to read an entire book about her, but it was a fun read anyway.

I often find that, in some biographies, it can take the author a little which to get a style going, and the first few chapters can be be a little awkward. that was true of Challenge Accepted. But Celeste soon found her flow. I knew absolutely nothing of her before I started the book, but she is very likeable, and this was an easy, entertaining read. Would recommend.

Celeste Barber is by far one of the funniest women on Instagram. It follows through to her book. I read the book and it was like she was narrating it my head. The book is hilarious and definitely has some emotional and very touching moments. She is there in the book, her personality shines right through. She is inspirational in her comedy and someone I will continue to following.

Celeste Barber is hilarious and refreshing. Her Instagram account is the best and I’m glad she’s receiving recognition beyond social media. I’m not sure I needed to read an entire book about her, but overall, it was fun to read her story in her own words.

It was really easy to read this and laugh because in my head i kept seeing Celeste's poses in my head! I really liked this and very quickly got a feel for her sense of humor and quirkiness! :-)

I mean Celeste doesn't even know who i am but we **are** best friends.

I received an Advance Review Copy of this book. All opinions are my own. :-)

Celeste has an entertaining voice and writing style.. It was interesting to learn her background and how far back her interest in the entertainment industry extends. It definitely shows that things don't happen overnight for everyone. There were some surprisingly heavy portions, which I won't give away, but suffice to say that she has been through a lot. It was fun to read about meeting her husband and other exploits. .

If you’re American and looking into this book, it’s probably because you follow Celeste Barber on Instagram. That’s why it caught my eye anyway. If you don’t know of her IG, you should go check it out. She expertly recreates photos, showing how ridiculous the originals were (they’re usually magazine shoots and celebrity shots meant to show us how awesome their lives are).

This book really just tells you who Celeste is behind the scenes and how she stumbled into IG fame. If you’re interested in getting to know the person you follow on IG, then this is a decent book.. If that’s not your sort of thing? Probably skip this one but still go check out her IG. I don’t imagine this being a book for anyone not already a fan of hers.

Challenge Accepted! by Celeste Barber is a quick and easy read. I didn't really know what to expect from it. I follow her IG account but know next to nothing about her. That is no longer true. Celeste opens up about many personal facets of her life which many of her fans will likely appreciate. She definitely plays the "regular gal" role even while discussing her acting career and making out with Tom Ford. It would make a good beach read and can easily be finished over a short weekend (or even a few hours if you have enough time to yourself).

If you aren't a full blown fan of Celeste Barber who absolutely craves knowing more about the woman behind the funny pictures, this is probably not the book for you. There were some entertaining personal tidbits but nothing that really made this autobiography stand out from other insta-famous celebrities.

Slight warning: Celeste gets a bit sanctimommy regarding medicating kids and that rubbed me the wrong way. I'm not sure if she intended to make a comment that seemed so full-against kids being medicated for ADHD but that's how it read to me. I don't suggest reading this if you are sensitive to that mindset.

I wish her well and greatly enjoy her IG account; I just don't think I was the intended audience for this autobiography. Your mileage may vary.

One of my new favorite books! This author has such a way with words the pages flew by in no time! I can’t wait to see the next work by this author! This was such a joy to read!

So stinking good!! I loved this book. The raw humor and just put it all out there of the author was amazing to read. It really was like getting to know someone more than just a surface sort of way.

Witty, funny, authentic, unapologetic, hilariously vulgar and delightful. The author kept me in stitches through the entire read. Each page packed full of personality and real authentic discourse.. I would love to meet and know this delightful lady from down under. I truly enjoyed this read from cover to cover. As she tells you the story of her life, it feels like she is writing about a soap opera character. She doesn't care what you think and has no problem telling you so. What a refreshing change from the usual reality show or biography. I would definitely recommend this book. Any woman, (#Iamoneofthem) needing a boost of self-confidence and 'you are beautiful just the way you are' pep talk should read this book.. As I battle Breast Cancer, I need all the uplifting humor I can get right now.

I felt like I was sitting right across from her while she was spilling the tea about her life. She’s very funny and I really liked her writing. The chapter about her thanking wine was the best. Thanks for all the pictures and the laughs you bring!

I had never heard of Celeste Barber before hearing about this book. When I did hear about it, I still didn’t look her up, not really having clued in yet that she is an actual Instagram sensation and not someone who wrote a book about a main character who is an Instagram sensation. I just knew the book sounded right up my alley, both funny and thought-provoking. I was correct on all counts. Ms. Barber will make you cry, make you think, and most of all (her main goal), make you laugh.

I was pretty excited to see this pop up on NetGalley. I found Celeste Barber awhile back on Instagram and loved her feed right away. I don't follow many celebrities (pretty sure they could be counted on one hand and have fingers leftover) and I can't think of any "lifestyle" bloggers/grammars I follow, but Barber's feed is unlike anything else. Go now, you won't be disappointed. I loved getting to know her more through her book. One note, if you are offended by cursing, well, this might not be the book for you. It's not excessive throughout the entire book, but there are a few essays where it can be a bit much. It's who she is and this is her book. Love her or not, she's not changing who she is - as it should be. Overall, I really enjoyed this memoir and laughed in so many places. There are serious moments she shares from her life as well, but even those are often told with her own humorous take. So many topics are covered from her being bullied growing up to encounters with truly disgusting men to body shaming to, well, a lot of other things. Just read the book. It's so refreshing to see a celebrity be so open and honest and not take herself so seriously. I see so many editing who they are online in order to try to appeal to more people. Be yourself. Your people will love you as you are.

Thank you to Amazon Publishing and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

I have been a fan of Celeste Barber for a few years. Her instagram is a daily moment of lightness that is much needed in today's day to day.

Challenge Accepted! is the a short collection of essays, letters and insight into this hilarious woman who is ready to take the world by storm. From her hilarious dancing childhood to being ripped in half by her first child, Celeste is open, honest and hilarious.

Thanks to the NetGalley, the publisher and Celeste for the opportunity to read and review this book.

I have been following Celeste Barber on Instagram for a while now and always like to see her comparison pictures that she posts of her being normal against a model in some ridiculous pose. It was great to get to know her by reading her book, and she is as real as she is in her posts. She dealt with a lot of adversity and health issues in her younger life but that hasn't changed her from being a positive person who says, "who cares if you don't like me or the way I look" and enjoys life to the fullest. I think she is great roll model for everyone out there who isn't model beautiful or thin and who could use a boost to their ego. I'd love to have her as my best friend!!

I am trying to get into different genres and styles of novels this year, from graphic novels and manga, to venturing into more nonfiction. I started off this year finishing Michelle Obama’s memoir, so I was on a bit of a memoir high if you will. So when I saw this was available to read, I was pretty stoked.

I’m not a big Instagram person myself, finding that comparing myself to celebrities can be very damaging for my self-esteem. Then my sister’s boyfriend showed me a post by Celeste Barber, where instead of feeling insecure by the posts these celebrities made, she chose to celebrate her own body and beauty by imitating these pictures. I quickly delved into her account and found that there is a way to be happy about yourself, without buying into all the falsehoods that celebrities try to sell you.

Barber’s writing style in her memoir is very reflective of her self-deprecating sense of humor that is ever present in her parody photos. Even some of the more serious moments in the book have a lightheartedness to it, capable only from someone who is very content with their lot in life. The chronology jumps around a bit, so this memoir reads very differently to what I am used to. The writing itself can be a bit too much at times, but the book isn’t too long that it becomes hard to bear.

I would recommend this book to anyone that wants something easy to fly through that’s funny and oddly inspirational at times. Who knew?

As someone completely unfamiliar with the author I found this book to be okay. Did I laugh? Yes, I did laugh at times. But also there were times were I felt like the author had given us TMI. Normally I read these type of books by celebrities I’m familiar with and enjoy. Needless to say I neither loved or hated this book.
