Cash was the first book that I read by Cassia Leo and sadly I am not a fan. It was an okay read but there wasn’t anything that fantastic about it.
I voluntarily reviewed this book.
this one was just okay for me. The characters were good but the story line just didn't keep me engaged at all. This one felt like I need more, more from the the characters and more from the story
As always, I appreciate the opportunity to read and review this title.
However, I was not able to finish this as I was not able to connect with the story and the way the characters were written.
I have chosen to mark this title as a "DNF" and I apologize for the delay in sending this response to this title.
Thank you!
Cash is a total playboy, a new girl on his night every night and parties like crazy, also kind of obnoxious.
But when he meets Kara who is smart, sassy and does not take any crap.
Like most billionaire books Cash is in need of a fake fiancé to prove to his board of directors that he put his player ways behind him.
Well Kara is trying to clear her and her fathers name. And when with sparks fly, they both see an opportunity to get what they both want.
It had a natural vibe from friendship to relationship.
This book has a nice easy flow.
Cash by Cassia Leo was great! It was really fun to be taken back into her world where I've read most of her books and can see how everything fits together. Cash is an interesting character who at the beginning I didn't like. At. All. But by the end, I totally got him and was head over heels in love with him. I know, I said it. I'm in love with a fictional character.
I loved that he knows what he is doing is wrong and takes it a special woman like Kara to show him the best side of him. All in all these men are all great in this hot little package and cannot wait to see what Cassia has in store for us. Loved it.

Cash has everything, his father Jacob is an oil tycoon. Cash is the Executive Vice President of Westbrook Oil. he’s known as the moist eligible bachelor but but also a screw up. Scandals follow him . he is a notorious for a tragedy-his ex girlfriend OD’d on the beach. After the last screw up the board wants to get rid of him as the say he is detrimental to the the company’s image that his family has built. . They want him out. He promises to stop gambling, womanizing, and partying . But he doesn’t keep his word. Kara grew up quickly and life hasn’t been easy. She needs a job that will f give her cash now. Kurt is Kara’s father an his bookie is Beanie has been threatening Kara. She has to get 140,000 and sixty days to do it.Also her father has cancer and she has to pay his medical bills. Her father’s reputation was tarnished Kara’s reputation. It was so hard to get a job dealing blackjack when her father had been blacklisted because he was a card shark. But she finally gets a job dealing at the Billionaire’s Club. Cash meets Kara at the club. They click but Kara doesn’t want any kind of relationship and has her walls up. Cash talks into spending the night with him. She can do a one night stand. Cash needs a fake fiance to show the board he has changed and has put his bad ways behind him. Cash offers Kara a million dollars to be his fake fiance at a board retreat in three weeks. Kara needs the money so she agrees but has three rules. So they have to get to know each other to pull this off. While getting to know each other Cash and Kara start to develop feelings for each other. Cash loves that Kara challenges him.
I really liked this book. It was a fast enjoyable read. It was predictable but that was basically ok with me. Cash and Kara had a hot chemistry. I loved the ending. I loved how dax wanted to take care of Kara. I felt like cash and kara broke up and went back together to often. Either fix what's wrong or stop the relationship. It just got annoying. I did love the duo POVs. I was drawn in right away with this book and stayed that way until the end. I didn’t really like the instalove. But I did love Kara was determined to pay all her father’s gambling debt as well as his medical bills. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend it. I wish I could rate this 4.5.
This was okay for me. Not really sure that I like a heroine that's willing to sleep with someone to get insurance claims paid. I understand desperate times and all that, but it's not my cup of tea. They went really quick from a mutual using each other thing to love. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of build up to it. The writing itself flowed well, I just wasn't a huge fan of the story. This was a first for me from this author, but I would be willing to read her again.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
It was fun read from beginning to end.
Billionaire playboy Cash and black jack dealer Kara.
Cash is a playboy billionaire who had everything except his reputation is not helping his his company. His latest party antics is spread all over the tabloid and board members from his company is ready to oust him if he doesn't clean up his act. Cash is running out of excuses and he couldn't be ousted by the board, he tells his father he found a fiancee and they will show up at their company's gala.
Kara is a blackjack dealer and trying to work at exclusive billionaire club where she would earn more money so that she could pay off his father's debt and his piling medical debt. His bookie has been threatening her and she needed to make bucks quick.
When Cash was in exclusive club, he meets and Kara and entices her with plan. Kara wanted to refuse but after latest incident with Benny the bookie, she couldn't refuse.
Now they need to know each other so when she shows up for the Gala, board members will believe Cash finally changed his ways and settle down. To learn each other they have to open to each other but Kara can't really tell Cash about EVERYTHING. She wants to hide and keep bookie away from him but everything changes when they show up at the GALA...
It kept me up and I had to get to the end. Cash and Kara were likable and storyline moved quickly.
thanks to Netgalley and KOBO writing life for ARC in exchange for honest review.
This my first Cassia Leo novel. I see that it is part of a series, but written as a stand alone. It was a fun, quick, very sexy read. The characters were engaging, I appreciated that there was definite character growth through the story. The heat factor is very high. Cash is written in the first person, alternating between hero and heroine, which added to the fast pace of the story. I would read more from Cassia Leo.
I received my copy through NetGalley under no obligatio
I was intrigued by the blurb of this read and it definitely kept my attention from beginning to end.
I appreciated the struggle that Kara was facing and her willingness to basically do anything to fix her father’s problems. She was a go getter and it made her character very likable.
Cash, the bad boy billionaire was hot and rude and unapologetic! But you could tell that deep down, he was capable of compassion and empathy.
I loved the connection between these two and their mutual understanding that they were both using each other. What I didn’t care for was how quickly they were suddenly in love and no longer pretending. It just seemed so unrealistic.
The drama was nail biting and the sexual chemistry was so hot! I really enjoyed this author’s writing style and will absolutely check out the other books in this series.
This is a standard alone read in the series.
What's not to love about a bad not billionaire trying to clean up his act? Cash Westbrook is trying to avoid being ousted from the board and his job at the family oil company. What he needs is a distraction and the appearance that he's cleaned up his act.
Insert Kara, she's desperately trying to keep get head above water. Getting a job with great tips will go a long way to getting her family out of debt. What could possibly go wrong if she accepts the bet of a lifetime to be a pretend fiance?
I have read a lot of books from this author. This one was another fast and sexy read! Both characters are fairly well developed, each with a complex back story.Their chemistry and banter were amazing. The story is full of suspense and keeps your interest!
What a good story. I really liked the characters. Parts of the story kept me on the edge of my seat. The chemistry between the characters was really good. I would definantly
recommend this book.
I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Cash was an okay romance story. I feel like I've read similar books to this that the two MC's and their love didn't really stick out to me. In it, you will meet Cash and Kara. Their little romance definitely starts off with a little bet.. but of course, things start to get serious. Especially when sex is involved - like it usually is.
Besides their growing romance, this book did have some drama. Some of it was pretty interesting and the other was predictable. However, with all this drama you see it either push or pull these two together. Of course, they are stronger together and it doesn't take long for them to figure this all out.
Overall, I enjoyed this book even if it seemed like I've read it before. It was probably because of the romance - if I am being completely honest.
So so good. Cash is super swoony and fun. It is part Power Play series but can be read as a stand alone! So don’t put this one off.
This story was unexpected in a good way. You may think this is your typical story, but it has unexpected twists. This was a pretty quick read because you keep turning pages to see what happens next.
Definitely recommended.
A sexy romance that will have you swiping the pages till the end - and wishing there was more. This book is a fast paced, addictive and delightful. Looking forward to more books by this author. Would recommend
"Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the advance copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review."
Loved this book very much. It had just enough sweet, sexy romance and the storyline was great! I highly recommend!
This was a very interesting book. I was able to read it very quickly. I really struggled on what to rate the book for a few reasons. I felt like maybe it could have had more to it. They talked about "getting to know each other" but then we never really get to know them. Some parts of the story pop up out of no where then go and disappear and pretend they never existed. I liked Cash, he turned into a real likeable character. I like Kara, she's very determined. Willing to do whatever she needs to for her families sake. She throws everything on the line sometimes because of determination and sometimes because of just pure frustration. But man that lady has heart. As much as someone may not want to like Kara's father you kind of just can't. I liked the way it ended. The book may haven't gotten a few smiles out of me. For my first Cassia Leo book, I may have to check out another one in the near future.
