Daniel and Nadia were refreshing characters. This was sweet, light romantic fare. A great read for a long trip!

We meet Daniel who is attracted to Nadia.
He sees her on the 7.30am train to London each morning if she's not late that is.
He doesn't want to approach her in front of everyone so he puts an ad in the newspaper, the missed connections section and hopes she notices it.
I love a book which alternates between the two main characters as it gives us such a great insight into both of their lives.
Quite likeable characters, Nadia & Daniel and I kept thinking throughout the book "will they/won't they" get it together.
There are many mishaps and near misses on the path to true love...
With Nadia relying on her friends for advice and Daniel his flatmate, we get many laughs along the way too...
Oh but Nadia did drive me bonkers at times...
With her shocking lateness all the time and her sheer clumsiness, I did despair for her.
But I always say there is someone out there for every one...
This path to true love does not run smooth and you wonder throughout will they get their happy ending...
Well worth taking the time to check out this debut ❤

I really enjoyed this book, great debut novel.

It tells the story of Nadia and Daniel, two commuters who both occasionally take the train together. Daniel spots her but lacks the courage to speak to er so tries contacting through newspaper ads. They correspond for a while then arrange to meet up but circumstances mean that they don’t meet. They both get on with their lives and on several occasions narrowly miss meeting up and it seems they are not destined to meet. Then several things happen and they get to meet.

Charming story where you fund yourself cheering them on to meet! Highly recommended.

A nice quick read. It’s probably best to read this quickly, if you can, so all the missed connections will feel quicker :)

Daniel sees Nadia one day and forms a crush based on a conversation he overhears. He can’t approach her because she’s working.
Then he sees her on the morning train.
He wants to talk to her but he’s scared. He thinks she won’t be open to a conversation with a perfect stranger on her morning travels.

He places an ad in a Missed Connections column and he majorly lucks our because she reads it and responds.

But the path forward still isn’t easy. She keeps running late and missing the train. He recognizes her but she doesn’t know what he looks like. So she doesn’t know what to expect.

I don’t want to spoil the ending so I won’t say more. But I thought this was cute, I especially liked Daniel and I like how it wrapped up.

This book was a bit slow starting, but it turned out to be such a fun, sweet, rom-com. It was a quick read, with a satisfying ending that kept building and building to get there. Very much enjoyed it.

Well what can I say? I am loving the romances at the moment and this was the perfect summer read. Light and refreshing with a new take on the will they wont they, with Nadia and Daniel missing each other at every turn. The adverts in the paper were cute and the dialogue funny making me laugh out loud in places. It touched on darker subjects along the way, making it a great all rounder and recommended by me. I will be buying a copy for my keep shelf.

I loved this so much. Definitely a very modern rom-com - I loved Lorenzo’s story and how Daniel approached it, but with a very traditional twist; with their story playing out via the missed connections column. The anticipation of Nadia and Daniel eventually meeting (come on, it’s inevitable!) is delicious and you’re left wondering how, rather than when, they’re going to end up together. Such a lovely story, highly recommended.

This fantastic novel taps into the intriguing concept of finding love on your commute!
It's so current and relevent, the characters feel like friends, and I was swept away and couldn't put it down!

Daniel spots Nadia on his commute to work on the Northern Line, feels an immediate attraction, and starts to communicate to her via the daily newspaper "love connections" page. What follows is the intervention of fate, because the course of true love never did run smooth.

The fantastic writing leaves you laughing out loud, and feeling like your best friend just found the love of her life.
Would recommend if you have a book hangover, are in a reading slump, or if your heart is feeling a bit battered and bruised by life.
Even if it's just the weather thats bringing you down, this one has the power to make you smile!

This was a perfect weekend read, I absolutely enjoyed it! Loved the short chapters, and that it alternate between the main characters points of view.

Because of the genre you kinda guessed how the book was going to end, but it was the evolving and the expectations that made it all more interesting.

I simply could not put it down.

I did found some characters male and female to be ideal, not flawed , but hey it's fiction so it was nice and warm and cozy.

I enjoyed reading this book. It is told from the point of view of the two main characters, who were wonderfully created. It’s a book of missed chances, not knowing how it will end, but a predictable end in one. The epilogue was rather strange and didn’t really fit in. This is a great book to read on holiday.

This book was a lot of fun! I loved that Williams used the epistolary form as a basis but branched out from there. Daniel and Nadia are interesting characters that aren't quite as straightforward as a lot of chick lit characters. They are are well-rounded, and so are the secondary characters that make up the rest of the cast. There were a few different twists that I didn't see coming, and overall, it was a fantastic read!

This was a cute and humorous novel that resembles what can often be seen in a romantic comedy on screen. However, the premise surrounding the originating story makes it difficult for me to get behind this novel. I am all for unrealistic romance comedies and "meet cutes". But this plot line originates from this male main character overhearing the female main character (who's also coincidentally young and attractive) in a conversation and being interested in her from what she's saying. From there, he essentially stalks her. I'm sorry but if you're calling a spade a spade, that's essentially what he does. From knowing and watching her each time she takes the train to placing an ad in the paper to meet this woman he's obsessed over.

Again, I can typically get behind any unrealistic romance but this one left me somewhat uncomfortable even if parts of the story were humorous. It just seemed odd to be encouraging a romance that promotes stalking or obsessing over a stranger. Aside from that major plot point, it's a witty and quick novel that would be suitable for many who enjoy the contemporary romance genre.

This book was an interesting choice for me as I'm not usually a chick lit/ romance reader. The premise interested me, the idea of those love columns in the papers could spark something more, especially in London was definitely the deciding factor, but this book was more. It wasn't just your usual run of the mill chick lit book, it was genuinely funny with some serious edges that made it feel real. Nadia and Daniel's paths always being missed did start to to become tedious in the end, I felt invested in their romance with the commuters of their train. The book starts slow but does make you want their relationship to work. This book is Definitely a feel good summer holiday read .

A lovely heartwarming and funny read ! - perfect for a beach read - its a romantic story about missed connections - Nadia sees a post in the local newspaper about ' a girl with a coffee stain that gets on the tube at her connection' could it be her? and who is it ? Thus starts a series of posts in the paper between herself and the mystery man - some funny moments and funny twists and turns and loveable characters - Loved Romeo !!

Overall a cute story. It was an interesting take, I don't think I've read a romance before where they didn't at least interact in person (knowingly) earlier. I loved Daniel's friendship with Romeo. I was able to spot the secondary love connection quite easily. And I wasn't crazy about the writing once they actually did meet, it felt...forced maybe? I don't know, it just felt off. But I read it quickly so I'd say I enjoyed it even if I didn't love it.

Nadia almost always catches the 7:30 train and Daniel always takes the 7:30 train. She has just been through a rough breakup and wants to better herself and live a happier healthier life. One day she is reading the paper in the missed connection section she sees "to the cute girl with coffee stains on her dress I'm the guy who's always standing near the door. Drink sometime?" What follows are some near misses and a story of falling in love that will bring a huge smile to your face.
This story was a bit slow at first and involved a lot of background about each of their lives instead of them together. They miss each other a lot in the book too which is cute and part of the story but after a while you just kind of want something to happen. Even still I really enjoyed this book and though it was a nice romantic summer read.

Adorable premise that had me rooting for the couple the whole way through! The book did drag a little in the beginning but then picked up. Overall, really sweet RomCom and perfect for summer!

This book was hard to get into at first since the main characters didn’t know each other, therefore having zero chemistry. Novels where the love interests don’t talk for a part of the book can be difficult to root for - thankfully the author does create the needed chemistry eventually.
