Overall I thought that this was a light hearted read, full of laugh out loud moments and an easy to follow story line. Nothing major happened but it was an enjoyable story and worth a read.

Daniel spots Nadia on a crowded London train and feels an instant spark, and once he overhears snippets of her conversation with a friend determines that she's clever and funny as well. After noticing her a few more times on the same train at the same time (and they get off at the same stop each morning), he knows he has to meet her. But random men can't just walk up to women on the train and strike up a conversation without coming off like a weirdo. So what to do? Daniel decides to put a message in the "Missed Connections" of the newspaper, hoping that she'll see it and want to respond. When Nadia's friend shows her the message about the girl on the train who has coffee stains on her clothes, she's sure it isn't meant for her....but what if it is? And so begins a tale of almost-meetings, near-run-ins, and newspaper-message-exchanges that gain quite the Twitter following and captivate romantics across London. Everyone is rooting for them to find each other. When they do finally connect, will they find true love?

This book was pure fluffy fun. I had a smile on my face the whole time, and I couldn't stop reading because I really, REALLY wanted to get to the part where Daniel and Nadia finally meet. It's a great romantic comedy, and I can already imagine it as a movie.

Daniel has funny roommate who reminds me a little of Spike from Notting Hill, and he's close with his mom (there's a hilarious/heartbreaking scene where she's mourning the loss of her vacuum cleaner) which is adorable. My favorite of his friends, though, is Romeo, a security guy who works in his office building and at first glance probably wouldn't be the first person he'd go to with problems but who is SO sweet and there for him and I just wanted to give him a big hug. Nadia has a couple of friends who are more than they seem, too, though I wanted them to be fleshed out a little bit more (and I wanted a bit more of their story). The friend group is great fun as a backdrop to the romance here, which I always enjoy.

A lovely, entertaining read by Laura Jane Williams. I'll be looking for more books from her in the future!

This book brought such a smile to my face! I got so invested in both the main characters and was hooked from start to finish. The plot is typically rom-com and therefore ultimately predicable but it had twists along the way that had me biting my nails. (I was sneakily reading it at work I was so desperate to know what was going to happen!)

It's a very easy read and I liked how it switched between Nadia's and Daniel's perspectives. The style is simple and funny and I felt so immersed in the book. At times I felt like shouting at the characters because of all the near-meets but I thought that the author conducted the plot really well.

Our Stop is the perfect summer read.

This is the most romantic book I’ve read in years. It felt like it was written just for me. The women were ballsy, ambitious, complicated and holding out for the kind of life partner we all want. And - wait for it - so were the men. It’s a breath of fresh air compared to the often formulaic romantic comedy genre, and it owes a lot to the finest 20th century screenwriters who just knew how to keep your interest until the very last scene. If you love Nora Ephron or The Philadelphia Story (and if you don’t, what’s wrong with you? Sort it out), you’ll love this will-they/won’t-they screwball love story updated for the social media generation. Unashamedly old fashioned. SWOON!

Our Stop follows two twenty somethings, Nadia and Daniel, commuting on the tube with thousands of others in London. The two embark on a ‘will they/won’t they’ romantic flirtation through the anonymous ‘Missed Connections’ section of the newspaper. The narration switches between Nadia and Daniel as we follow the interaction between them throughout the book.

This is a really fun and easy read. For me, the female lead Nadia was the best part of the book. I found myself relating to her coffee spilling, alarm forgetting, Netflix binging ways. 2019’s answer to Bridget Jones (only slightly sleeker and without the huge pants). The story itself was totally unrealistic and at times extremely frustrating, yet it still managed to keep me entertained and turning the pages. Ideal as a poolside read or if you are looking for something light hearted.

I initially found this book irritating as it seemed to be a very trivial story full of stereotypes. However, once I realised that it is in fact satire, I really enjoyed it. The author brilliantly crams in as many topical cliches as she can, to great effect - working in AI - tick, bulletproof coffee - tick, gay character subplot - tick, designer handbags - I lost count after a few chapters. The story itself is imaginative and witty, but the author's comic genius shines out in sentences such as " the boxes of "male" and "female" are so narrow", and the character who writes about a "retreat for men who want to, like, get more in touch with their feelings or whatever" - comedy gold!

I loved how Nadia and Daniel were constantly just moments and a simple decision away from meeting each other, but small decisions kept them apart. It makes you think maybe if I would have said yes, to that dinner with my friends, who could I have met?

How many people are just moments away from meeting that could change our entire life?

Another thing that I loved from Our Stop, were the references to a dating advice book, that advises you to 'practice flirting', make eye contact, keep your head out of your phone, look around smile and generally be friendly. Living in such a digital world this is such a key component that has really been over looked in the recent years, and this definitely something that we can all learn from a romance novel.

I loved the honesty that Nadia and her best friends had when it came to the men they've dated and how they nick-named them because that's what I've done in the past and it's so relatable! Our Stop is a fun quick read with not just a couple that you will adore, but side characters that you will be invested in as well!

Oh my heart, my heart. I'm not into soppy, fluffy love stories. When I read a romance I want it to have some oomph to it along with a love thread running through it that makes my heart sing. Our Stop is one of those kind of love stories.

We meet Nadia and we meet Daniel. They, on the other hand, have a pretty tough time actually meeting each other. They are the very epitome of star-crossed lovers. This is the sort of story that warms the cockles of anyone with a romantic bone in their body. Daniel sees Nadia one day and it's a bit of an arrow through the heart moment. And then he sees her again and he wants to do something about it but it's not as though they met in a social situation and he can easily approach her. She gets on his tube train and everybody knows that nobody in London actually speaks to anyone on the tube. So he puts a message in the Missed Connections section of the paper and she sees it, they meet up and live happily ever after.

Ah no, that doesn't happen! What follows is a lot of messages, some missed chances and some amazing coincidences. I won't tell you if they ever actually meet and get it together because that would be a spoiler, but let's just say I was incredibly pleased by the ending.

I spent much of this novel in a delicious state of heightened anticipation. It's so well-written as to really keep up the tension of will they/won't they. It's pitch perfect on the part of Laura Jane Williams. I loved Nadia who is fun and a little scatty, but incredibly intelligent, working with artificial intelligence. But Daniel is the real star of this book for me. If a more perfect man exists then I shall be very surprised. He's sensitive, kind, clever, handsome and fills his trousers perfectly (apparently). What more could you ask for?

There's also a lovely cast of supporting friends for each of them. Nadia has Emma and Gaby and Daniel has Romeo and, to some extent, his flatmate, Lorenzo, along with his gang from university. They all add something to the story of Nadia and Daniel and give them the chance to show why they are worthy of being the main characters in this gorgeous story.

I loved the whole idea of the Missed Connections thing. I didn't even realise anything like that existed but what a perfect way to see if that spark could be turned into a fire or if it would fizzle out straightaway.

At the end I was getting all fluttery, nervous and excited for Nadia and Daniel. I was totally invested in this thing between them working out. As she says to him: "It's quite the build up." The way it ended just melted my heart and I do believe a tear was shed.

Our Stop is exactly my kind of love story. It's one which made me root for the characters and it was a total joy from beginning to end. Proper loved it!

This book was a total delight, I could not put it down-- except when I was texting my friends telling them to order it as soon as possible.

A light, easy romantic read about missed connections, potential relationships, friendship and love. This was enjoyable and a great holiday read, my only complaint was that the plot felt too easy: too many coincidences and near misses to be believable

I've just finished this incredible book and raced to grab a pen in order to write a review. What a book! I knew by the first few paragraphs that I was going to absolutely love it and it didn't disappoint in the slightest. The writing was laugh out loud funny and I belly chuckled into the pages of my book more times than I can ever admit.

I don't think I've ever been invested in two characters more than that of Daniel and Nadia. There was a keen sense of familiarity about them that had me wishing I knew them in real life. The amount of missed opportunities and near misses that wove through the narrative, had me on the edge of my seat, reading like a woman possessed with sheer frustration, desperate to get to the end to see if there would be a happy ever after moment. But what a pair! The road to true love is a difficult path and the trials and tribulations when negotiating the game of modern dating is a rough terrain and not one to be tired lightly. But with a bit of intuition and originality, love can spark in the strangest of places.

Out Stop is one of the best books I've read this year so far..... someone please call Hollywood as this is a movie waiting to happen. If you haven't already noticed I absolutely loved everything about this book and can't urge you all enough to grab your nearest copy and dive in as I want you all to meet Daniel and Nadia - you won't be disappointed in the slightest.

Our Stop is a sweet modern romance that deals with love, loneliness, connection and everything in between. I was very intrigued by the synopsis, which sounded very appealing and clever. There are moments that are handled beautifully and where the characters experience things that feel very relatable and realistic. I felt the pacing/plot structure could have been sharper in places, as my interest did wane a little when there was yet another missed connection (which I appreciate was the point, but....). But the parts that grabbed me did so wholeheartedly. And if you love London, you'll enjoy this tribute to the tube and all the possibilities it offers commuters for connection every day....in many senses of the word!

This was such a fun cute will they won't they meet slow burn summer romance! And After reading non stop fantasy books for the past few months this ended up being a fantastic change of pace.

I'm honestly such a sucker for the almost meeting but just missing each other romances and this book has that in spades! If you're a fan of plenty missed chances and a really slow burn romance then this is definitely for you it kind of reminds me of Thanks for the memories by Cecilia Ahern so if you liked that book this could be a winner for you.

Daniel and Nadia were both just so lovable and I instantly liked them, both desperately looking for the one and wondering if it will ever happen for them made them super relatable and I absolutely loved the missed connections notes in the paper to each other, it was just so super cute. Such a satisfying romance book and look forward to more from this author.

Daniel knew there was something about Nadia from the moment he saw her talking to her boss. He couldn’t believe it when he then saw her on the commute to work.

Deciding to put an advert in the paper, Daniel is hoping that it won’t be long until he can talk to Nadia. He is delighted when she replies. Soon, they are writing back to each other through the paper, not realising that fate has its own plan.

I read this book in a day, desperate to know what happened between these two characters. How does Nadia respond to Daniel’s advert, do they meet and what happens next?

Nadia is a strong female character who, although has moments of doubt, knows who she is and that she deserves to be happy. It was good to see a main character act in this way.

Daniel is a lovely compliment to Nadia’s character and is the perfect love interest. He has a Mr Darcy vibe going on (without being the prat Darcy is at the beginning.)

The supporting characters were also wonderful. I especially liked Romeo. I thought he was a nice change in how male friends are portrayed in some novels.

Having the point of view go between Nadia and Daniel gave it such an interesting perspective. It was good to see the relationship unfold from both sides and to see the emotions and thoughts of both.

This book is a feel good love story. In my opinion, it came to a satisfying end and very much appealed to my love of romantic comedies. I could see this as a film actually.

I felt that the characters were well-developed and the plot rolled along nicely. I did find the near misses frustrating but only because I wanted the novel to have a happy ending. Whether this happens is something you will have to find out for yourself.

The cover is great and makes me smile, the story was so lovely and overall, this was a witty, fun, heartwarming read that will be perfect for the months ahead or that summer holiday.

If you’re a fan of Ali McNamara and Beth O’ Leary, or just love to fall in love, you’ll like this book.

A great debut from Laura (great name,) Jane Williams.

I was really looking forward to this book and it didn’t disappoint. It was very slow to start with but after the first few chapters i couldn’t put it down. The characters were likeable and I loved the ‘sliding doors’ style moments where they were literally in the same room or street and just missed my seconds. The whole book felt very relatable and I felt it could and probably does happen a lot. I loved the scene with the live cinéma - i really want to go to one of these!!!

A great read for the romantic in all of us

Good. Enjoyed how it showed that men can be just as romantic as women but was also gripped by the near misses and chance meetings that they nearly had. Was rooting for this couple all the way through.

Nadia and Daniel see each other on the train every morning, he is more proactive in trying to get to know her but despite newspaper entries by them both, which interest the whole of London, their meeting never takes place. - or does it ? A really good read with a new and interesting theme for a romantic novel. I couldn't wait to see what happened!

I love romantic comedies! I love to watch them by making `avvvv`, `hmmmm`, `yay` sounds and giggle like a teenager, raising my punch at the scenes the couples have their HEAs and ride into sunset. I can tolerate some clichés as long as they’re don’t affect the story completely and turned into a ridiculous, exaggerated emotional soap opera.

As for this book, the things I liked:
The way of the couple’s each other
Lovely, honest, sweet and genuine characteristic attributes of Daniel
Emma and Gaby! They definitely stole the show ! Their story was sooo gooood!

What I don’t like about it:
Harsh, vulgar, crass language
Too much slow-burn romance, especially first part took too long !
The dialogues of characters are monotonous ,dull, unreliable.
Passionless love making scenes
Too much political comments( I think they don’t fit in a rom-com book)

As a summary, I got bored, a little bit disappointed because story and characters have so much potential but it needs so much rewriting (especially dialogue parts) and editing ( at least 30-40 pages could be omitted so it may be more fast paced book that doesn’t get me bored to death!)

I fellin love with this book and its characters! It was fun and intriguing. Most definitely did not want to put it down!
