Thank you to NetGalley for providing an ARC excerpt!

This is the first Rachel Hawkins novel I have read, and it won't be the last. She draws you immediately into the story on page 1. I love the dynamics that the main character and her roommate (the princess) have going. I had to go out immediately and purchase the book to see the hate to love romance grow.

Thoroughly enjoyable story. Cute, YA romance is a quick read that will be an easy hand sell for beach reads.

Really loved this sneak peak I got of Her Royal Highness. It was fun seeing some of the characters I fell in love with in Royals (Prince Charming). I can't wait to pick up the finished copy!

Nothing is sadder than realizing the book you thought you got an ARC of is only a sneak peek. What I read was fun, but not enough substance to really review it. The characters seem well-developed, it's a great plot line. Because I got such a short look, I won't be posting this to Goodreads. I realize I have to give it a star rating, but I think that requirement is silly when you don't get the whole book as an ARC. If you truly want feedback, you should send a complete copy out.

I was super excited to receive a sneak peak of this book after hearing so much buzz for Rachel Hawkins other work. lets just say I'm going to be purchasing the rest of this book the minute it comes out. I loved how the character developed in the first part and how a storyline was already being established at this time. I thought the Scottish backdrop was a dream come true and I cannot believe how much I want to dive back into this story. I recommend this highly and will be getting my hands on it very soon !

This sneak peek of Her Royal Highness definitely left me wanting more. Millie is sweet and relatable, and I would love to see where her adventures in Scotland take her. This seems to be a fun YA book, a perfect summer afternoon beach read.

I was enamored by this sneak peek! I absolutely love this author's YA voice!

Aaaaand ... I ended up getting an early copy of the audiobook from PRHA, so I'm listening to the rest of the story this week/weekend. I'll post my full review on release day.

Loved! A fun companion novel to Rachel Hawkins's Royal Highness series. This time readers are introduced to a new love interest. The only down side has to be that I have to wait to read more when she ends up in Scotland! Pretty tale for those who love royal romances as much as I do!

My Review: This has been one of my most highly anticipated releases this year, so of course I wanted a sneak peek. I did struggle a little because I was expecting to follow Princess Flora, but we start first with Millie. I do end up really growing to love Millie very quickly and I can't wait to spend more time with her. I also love the cast of friends, well at least Lee and the new friends being made. I do find it odd that after getting to know Flora in the previous book we are again presented with her outside personality. I hope that maybe we can get a little from her view point. I am also really hoping for and audio book version, I loved the accents of the narrators of the previous book. Either way I can't wait to continue reading!

After reading the 1st book in the Royals series, I was so looking forward to reading the sequel. But after reading the first few chapters, the appeal for me faded away. It took a long time for her to get to Scotland. I feel the other book is better, but this was an ok sequel

Her Royal Highness is an enemies to lovers, queer coming of age story following a young bisexual girl named Millie. After realizing that giving up her dream over a girl who went right back to her ex boyfriend was a terrible decision, she decided to pursue her decision to go to a prestigious boarding school in Scotland and live out her dreams. These dreams get complicated when her encounter with her royal roommate was less than civil.

These few chapters given in the excerpt were enough to sell me on the entire book. Done. Preordered and I am now waiting patiently for release day and the book to land in my very eager hands.

I thoroughly loved how casually queer Millie was. She wasn't completely out, but being bi/pan wasn't a black cloud hanging over her daily life. She's a happy, determined, strong willed leading character with a dynamic personality that has so much potential to grow. I am incredibly excited to see what happens to her as she learns to navigate not only a new city but a new country AND continent.

I am also incredibly stoked to see how Millie and Flora go from enemies to friend to lovers over the course of the book. Starting out with antagonistic chemistry is a really intriguing point. I am eager to see the moment this changes tones and to see how the dynamic progresses from there.

Overall, this excerpt has set up the story in an incredibly appealing way. I am excited to fall in love with the characters and watch the cast grow as friends and more!

I read Royals a little while ago and wanted to check this book out. I am definitely going to be reading it when it releases! This preview was not enough! I must know more!

Millie Quint is devastated when she discovers that her sort-of-best friend/sort-of-girlfriend has been kissing someone else. Heartbroken and ready for a change of pace, Millie decides to apply for scholarships to boarding schools . . . the farther from Houston the better.
Soon, Millie is accepted into one of the world's most exclusive schools, located in the rolling highlands of Scotland. Here, the country is dreamy and green; the school is covered in ivy, and the students think her American-ness is adorable.
The only problem: Mille's roommate Flora is a total princess.
She's also an actual princess. Of Scotland.
At first, the girls can't stand each other, but before Millie knows it, she has another sort-of-best-friend/sort-of-girlfriend. Princess Flora could be a new chapter in her love life, but Millie knows the chances of happily-ever-afters are slim . . . after all, real life isn't a fairy tale . . . or is it?

I got to read just a sneak peek , so I can't give a full review about it. What I read was fun and I can till this story is a cute one. I am looking forward to May 7 when the it is released!!!
3 stars for the Sneak peek.

I got a complete ARC of this from TLA and I have to say that this exceeded all of my wildest expectations. I want a book for every Royal Wrecker out there.

A fun, romance novel about a sapphic princess in a boarding school in Scotland. It is a joy to read.

The “sneak peek” of this book covers the first nine chapters of the book. You can get the gist of the story from the blurb of the book. I thought that the characters seemed interesting. I especially liked Millie’s character; her intelligence and sly references were clever without being overly snarky. She seemed to be down-to-earth. I also liked the gossip columns/news pieces that preceded each chapter. It was a unique way to advance the plot without a lot of exposition. I will be looking forward to reading the entire book, because it seemed like a fun story that could have some good life lessons for teens. I much prefer the first book. I wasn't interested in this characters in the first book and I'm not interested now.

I cannot review this book because I wasn't given a complete galley copy, only about 60 pages of a "sneak peak."
I most definitely want to read the whole book now, I wish I had a copy!
