Dewey Lambdin starts off with a Napoleonic Alan Lewrie Italian naval adventure in Much Ado About Lewrie. Quickly Sir Alan Lewrie and his ship is recolled to London due to the patronage by high ranking English politicians in the naval office. What can go wrong with Lewrie on shore with nothing nautical to do? He takes his family to London and his wife is attacked and their canines dognapped. There is something shady in their French artist friend and Lewrie's relatives are getting in trouble. Enjoy the embroglio. Wonderful humor.
