Good story with likable characters and a HEA. My first by this author but I will pick up future books. Held my attention and really enjoyed all the way through.

This story was captivating from the start. I loved the fact that the heroine is intelligent and determined to continue her education. The hero is in love and will do any thing to get the lady he wants, even standing beside her when she wants to follow her dreams. Well written fun and entertaining

I've read the other Worthington books and I've enjoyed them all. It's a bit surprising to see Augusta give in to love. She's very determined to further her education.
Phin was a perfect match for her.
The characters in this series have been enjoyable and so well developed. It's impossible to not root for them.

I'd like to have read the other Worthington books so I could better understand the backstory but this was a fun, quick read! Really enjoyed it.

Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.

Another great addition to the Worthington series. I feel that you could read this as a stand-a-lone but if you have the chance, enjoy the series!!

Lady Augusta has one thing and only thing on her mind...that is to attend University because she is always yearning to learn. She does not want to fall into the trap of marriage...where ladies back then were expected to be the perfect wife who did what the husband wished. Lady Augusta wants to lead her life the way she wants and continue to learn, to be more than just another "wife."

Enter Lord Phineas Carter-Woods. He knows what is expected of himself also. He needs to help his family and duty should come before anything, including love and your own desires.

So, both (without yet really knowing each other) agree that they will do their duty and attend the Season. Lady Augusta, to please her mother, and Lord Phineas, to try and help his brother.

It was quite enjoyable to actually watch an unexpected friendship grow. To see how a man could actually support a Ladies dream (even though that wasn't the "thing" back then). It was nice to see the support that Lord Phineas gave Lady Augusta, even if she wasn't upfront about everything. She also had to learn to trust and realize that sometimes dreams can come true, no matter what is expected of you.

Thank you to NetGalley and the Publisher for a chance to read this ARC. I look forward to reading more from Ella Quinn.

Lady Augusta is an original. A member of a large, loving family she has their unusual support for a woman who has a desire to do something other than marry. She is exceptionally bright and wishes to attend university, which is extremely rare for a British woman in her day.
Lord Phinn is a second son, and he too is a scholar. He has traveled the world to study cultures and architecture for several years and is feeling pressure from his family to finally settle down.
These two people meet at social gatherings, both with different plans for their lives, but begin a lovely friendship. As their relationship grows into so much more, they may have changed their minds, but will either change their plans?
This is a sweet, quirky romance with a host of colorful characters and interesting story lines. The internal monologues of both the H and h were a major part of the tale, each debating the facts before them v.s. their feelings, (and neither was too perceptive), as the old love is blind cliche was in full force.
I enjoyed the book, it’s perfect for a long afternoon.

I loved all the travel in this book! There must have been a lot of research for this book. The languages, locations, customs were so interesting to read about. Of course, mixed in with some love and some drama, it is even better.

Believe in Me is part of The Worthingtons series by Ella Quinn. While it is the sixth book in the series the reader does not have to have read the previous books. Word of caution if this is the first book you read in the series you will want to go back and read the others. All the characters are such a delight well maybe not the Viscount Celje.

Believe in Me starts in March 1818. Lady Augusta is a forward thinking -polyglot who wants to travel to Italy to study. Lord Phineas Carter-Wood does not want to marry but made a promise to marry and produce an heir. Once Phineas meets Augusta who is very impressed that she knows the sailing paths. She informs him that geography is of her passions and the study includes trade winds. Augusta was not the usual bluestocking that Phineas knows of . She did not dress in boring drab gowns. and she smiled (unlike other bluestockings). The exchange between Bottomley and Phineas was hilarious!!! Phin is witty and very quick thinking on this feet.

The story had good pacing and Augusta and Phineas are very likeable characters. The wedding was a bit much I understand it needed some drama but Viscount Celje just barged in. I was excepting more drama than what was in the book.

While Lady Augusta is ahead for her time I loved how Phineas is also forward thinking. He becomes her champion to help with the drama that unfolds in Italy. Ella Quinn did a wonderful job researching the historical information for this time.

If you like Regency romance.
If you like romantic, yet strong female character in a book.
If you like historical romance.
If you like twists and surprising elements in books.
If you like to experience adventure in a book.
This book is definitely for you!

Ella Quinn is a new author for me, but I would definitely read more of her books in the future.

I knew right away that this was a book that (unfortunately) I could put down. The pace of the book was a little slow for my liking. I felt it was more about traveling than romance. The characters were interesting but just a bit bland.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

Lady Augusta Vivers is probably the most intelligent woman in all of London but her family can only think of her getting married. It seems the most important thing, especially for her mother. The problem is that the only thing that Augusta wants is to attend university in Padua.

Phineas Carter-Wood only wants to travel. He doesn't want to get married, he doesn't want a family - not just yet. He wants to see the world but his brother only has four daughters and there is no son in sight so his older brother asks him to get married and sire a son.

When Phineas meets Augusta he is fascinated by her intelligence. He likes her for what she is and that she isn't one of this plain debutantes. He doesn't know about her planes and first but when he finds out that she wants to go to university and travel with friends to Paris and further to Padua, he decides to follow her.

I had to make some research on my own afterward. Yes, Vienna did not have a lot of sidewalks back in the day but it was not dangerous. I also looked up when the first female got a degree at the Viennese University and it was in 1897 - Gabriele Possanner von Ehrenthal, who took most lectures at the University of Zurich. Females were only just allowed at the Viennese University in 1896. She got a degree in medicine.

Believe in Me, the sixth book in Ella Quinn's Worthington series, starts out with interesting characters in Lady Augusta Vivers and Lord Phineas Carter-Wood. Augusta wants to attend a university in Italy against the wishes of her mother, who wants her to have a Season and find a suitable spouse. Phineas has been traveling the world studying architecture against the wishes of his family, who want him to marry and provide an heir as his brother has four daughters. Both agree to the demands of their families while planning their respective escapes, but there is no escape from their mutual attraction. Or is there?

Unfortunately, the story devolves into more of a travelogue than a romance. The development of their relationship is lost in all the details about Regency-era European travel that are packed into the book. While I appreciated Quinn's historical accuracy, I found myself disappointed and then underwhelmed with their HEA.

I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I was given a ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review.

This is my favorite book of the Worthingtons series. A dash across Europe, a fight to the end, and passion in abundance.

Lady Augusta is a polymath with an insatiable curiosity for learning languages. Having sought out tutors to teach her everything she can, she hankers to attend university, which really wasn’t an option for women in the Regency era, at least not in England. Having done her research and used her connections as an earl’s sister, Augusta might, just might, be able to get admitted to university in Padua, Italy… if she can avoid her mother’s determination to marry her off and get her family’s permission to go.

Phinn is the younger brother of a marquis with four daughters, and his brother needs him to get married to provide an heir. Phinn has a fascination with architecture, though, and desperately itchy feet; having just returned from Mexico, he wants only to be off again, this time to Europe.

On the face of it, Augusta and Phinn are a perfect match, something their families realize early on, and so does Phinn. Augusta, though, understandably fears he’ll want her to settle down and start popping out babies immediately, so does her best to friendzone him.

It was somewhat frustrating that Augusta didn’t just tell Phinn about her wish to attend university, but it was obviously a plot point that needed to happen as otherwise there would have been no conflict in the story. Phinn was obviously the kind of man who would move heaven and earth to see Augusta achieve her dreams - and without giving away too many spoilers, that’s exactly what he eventually does.

One thing I really liked about this is that the romance isn’t a case of insta-love - the characters develop a really deep friendship first, and their ‘getting together’ occurs close to the very end of the book - but that wasn’t without its problems, in that the first part of the book really dragged. I seemed to have been reading for ever, checked, and I wasn’t even halfway through the book yet. At 320 pages, I think it could probably have been cut to about 240 and would have been a much better, tighter read.

Overall I enjoyed this, especially Phinn as he happily acknowledged that Augusta was definitely the smartest person he knew and supported her dreams. Well researched, there are some great sections travelling through early nineteenth-century Europe, but it was just a bit slow and frustrating, especially in the first half. Four stars.

For the most part I have enjoyed this series. But I have to say that I had great difficulty with this book. I felt like there was too much in it that was unnecessary. As a result the book dragged on.
I actually liked the two main characters, Augusta and Phinn. I thought their story had alot of potential. She was a scholar at languages and he studied architecture.
There was just too much filler. And it got tiresome towards the end of hearing them saying does he love me or does he not.
I gave it 3 stars because the book started out well and finished well. Just dragged too much in the middle.

Entertaining historical read with plenty of drama and suspense. Augusta wants to go to Italy to study at a college that accepts women, however her mother has other plans for her, like marriage. When Phineas and Augusta meet, sparks fly but August doesn’t plan on staying in England. Fun, sweet and enjoyable read. I liked it.

Another win for the Worhington series!! Augusta and Phineas are wonderful characters with amazing chemistry. Their friends to lovers romance had perfect pacing and flowed very well. Ms. Quinn did (as she always does) a great job with character development and in this book I think she really outdid herself. There was a lot of build up, a lot of tension.

Augusta is going down as one of my favorite historical romance heroines. She’s very smart, witty and determined. Her dream of attending university and her quite unique and quite the challenge for her male admirers.

I would have given this five stars except for what I felt was unnecessary drama towards the end. It felt a bit rushed and I didn’t enjoy the climax. However, the end was still wrapped up nicely and I’m very happy to say I enjoyed the book overall.

I've just finished reading this book and I feel like I've just traveled through Europe without even leaving my chair! Not only is this an historical romance, it's also jam packed with sights I'd love to see in person, as well as restaurants/cafes I would love to visit!!

Lady Augusta Vivers is one smart lady, in fact I'd say she's a genius and all she wants is to be able to attend university in Italy. Lord Phineas Carter-Wood is in search of a wife who can bear him an heir. He falls for Augusta but she is so determined to go to university, he ends up settling to being her good friend for now, until he can convince her that they belong together.

Augusta gets the chance to travel through Europe with her cousin and entourage and of course, Phinn ends up following her and he's able to show her all the places she's always dreamed of seeing throughout Europe. This is where the author excels in her description of these travels.

It's a very slow burn romance and there's a LOT of characters in the story (from previous books in this series) so it can get a bit confusing at times but I must say it was an enjoyable read.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Another exciting addition to the Worthingtons series! When an intelligent young lady wants to further her studies and go to university, why would her family stand in her way? Well first it was in Italy and second Lady Augusta's mother was set on her having a season and getting married. She does agree to the one season but makes no plans to encourage any men which would mess up her plans to travel. Now, just has to convince her brother she will be fine and very careful while away.
Lord Phineas had come home to England to visit his brother after his latest travels out of the country. He is being pressured to marry and produce a male heir due to his brother and his wife only having girls. He was anxious to start traveling again but committed to stay until the end of the season and look for a potential wife..
Sound perfect together? Both love to travel, are extremely intelligent and will be out in society!
As it turns out, these two do meet and end up traveling together and getting to know each other.
Ella Quinn has an extraordinary knowledge of the history and culture that is dynamic and you will feel as if you are seeing the sights as our couple travel through many countries before reaching Italy. She is a wonderful wordsmith drawing the characters out and taking them on a journey of discovery and most of all, their feelings which slowly develop.
Such a delightful story with lovable characters and sparkling banter that will have you smiling at the end!!

Ella Quinn is a master story teller. Augusta is a unique young lady with a zest for knowledge. She finds the one gentleman in town that does not bore her in Phinn. He is a roamed at heart but also wants to do right by his family. They become great friends until they realize there might be more between them. It takes the Vivers clan running interference to get them to finally admit that they want more than a casual friendship from each other. They are also able to realize that being together does not mean giving up on your dreams.
