This series is growing on me. I am starting to enjoy some of the supporting characters a bit more than I did in the beginning. I still think Lucy has the wrong love interest, I wish her previous experience as an attorney came in to play more often, and I would love to have more insight into Armenian culture. What makes them different? So far, Ms. Kashian has focused a lot more on the coastal touristy town location than the family and their ethnic background. I feel like Ms. Kashian is holding back but that is what I want to hear about! The stories still make for a fun light cozy read I just wish they would highlight more what makes this series different.

This is the third book in the Kebab Kitchen Mystery series. Lucy Berberian, our main character runs a Mediterranean restaurant in Ocean Crest on the Jersey Shore. She has agreed to be a judge at the Ocean Crest sand sculpture contest. She finds a dead body under the boardwalk.

Kate Watson, Lucy’s BFF is the prime suspect. She is believed to have killed Archie Kincaid, a surly merchant she was arguing with the same day he died.

I enjoyed the twists and turns and the reminder of childhood memories along many Jersey Shore boardwalks. Thank-you Ms Kashian for the series.

An added bonus- recipes included.

I am looking forward to more from this author, she hasn’t disappointed me, yet.

I received an Advanced Reader’s Copy from Kensington Publishing Corporation via Netgalley and these are my own opinions. Thanks for allowing me to read and review.

When stuck indoors by lots of snow, this was the perfect escape for me - Summer and a murder on the Jersey Shore. Lucy runs her family's restaurant, The Kebab Kitchen. Summer is a busy time in a tourist town but she never figured that the dead body of a not very popular local would make an appearance at a beach event and have the police put her best friend, Katie at the top of their prime suspect list. What to do? She and Katie set out to track down the real killer. I will say no more as I don't want to give any little thing away.
If you are new to this series you can enjoy it as a stand alone but be ready to go back and catch up. The character development, the setting, the puzzle with its twists and turns, all the makings of a great cozy series. I'm looking forward to the next murderous visit with Lucy, Katie and everyone else.

I really enjoyed this book I received via Netgalley. It is the first book I've read by this author. The story is set in Southern New Jersey, about 1 1/2 hrs outside Philadelphia. I know this type of town. The author really set the story well, and I loved the MC Lucy. She gets into trouble but also is quick to help friends out. Fun recipes in the back too.

This is the third book in the Kebab Kitchen Series. Lucy and her friend Katie are the judges for the sandcastle contest. Katie gets into an argument with Archie Kincaid because he failed to disclose that his nephew was entering the contest so it would be a conflict of interest for him to judge the contest. Katie also has another run in with Archie when she denies his approval to open another business. Not long after that Archie is found dead and the police suspect Katie. Katie's husband enlists Lucy to help prove her innocence.

I enjoy this series. It has good characters and great recipes at the end of each book. I also like the dynamic between Lucy and the restaurant's chef. I will definitely be reading the next book. I received this book from net galley in exchange for an honest review.

One Feta in the Grave by Tina Kashian is the 3rd book in the Kebab Kitchen Mystery series, and another good book. Lucy Berberian quit her attorney job in Philadelphia, and returns home to Ocean Crest, NJ to run her family's Mediterranean restaurant. Lucy is busy helping her best friend Katie with the beach festival. Lucy is making sure the vendors are all set up and have everything they need. Lucy finally takes a break from all the noise and activity and takes a break walking along the shore, when she find a body under the boardwalk. When Katie becomes a suspect, Lucy and Katie start sleuthing to find the real killer. This mystery has it all, a great plot, great characters and a good mystery. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. If you love cozy mysteries, than I recommend this book/series.

I received this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This was an engaging, easy read. Lucy, the main character and viewpoint character, is likeable, and her relationships with her friends are entertaining and real. It was nice to read a culinary mystery set in a restaurant featuring ethnic food--I haven't read one featuring Mediterranean food before, I don't think. I liked it enough to go back and check out the first couple in the series...

This is a very enjoyable cozy. I love the deepening and exploration of the relationships in this book and it seems like good changes are on the horizon for Lucy!

As the local prosecutor says, three murders in five months is a lot in a small Jersey ocean tourist town! Never fear, however, Lucy is back and is on the case. That sounds more dramatic than it should. If you aren't familiar with the series, don't worry- Lucy, an attorney, has moved back home and is managing her family's restaurant, the Kebab Kitchen, and solving the murders of various people in the Ocean Crest. This time it's Archie, an unpleasant merchant who has alienated other shop keepers (and done something far more heinous you won't know about til close to the end). There are multiple suspects, of course. Lucy's also got a love-triangle sorta thing going with Azad, the chef at her restaurant, and Mike, the "bad boy" motorcycle riding son of an OC figure who is actually a pussy cat. There are less family dynamics this time out and only tidbits about the restaurant (but some nice recipes at the end.). No matter, I'm a fan. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC- looking forward to the next one.

One Feta in the Grave by Tina Kashian is the third book in the cozy Kebab Kitchen Mystery series. Each book of this series centers around a different mystery so they can be read as a standalone. However, some of the character building carries over from book to book so it’s best to start at the beginning to enjoy their whole story.

At the center of this series is Lucy Berberian who returned to her hometown along the Jersey shore and has taken over the family business of running their Mediterranean restaurant. Things have been going well at the restaurant so the Kebab Kitchen is going to have a tent at the local beach festival this year keeping Lucy even busier.

Lucy and her friend Katie both have events going at the festival keeping them very busy but when Lucy gets the chance she decides to take a break and stroll the beach. Heading under the boardwalk all Lucy wanted was a bit of quiet downtime but instead she again finds another dead body. Archie Kincaid was a fellow businessman and just so happens someone Katie had an argument with so to get her off the suspect list Lucy and Katie again try to solve a murder.

While the Kebab Kitchen Mystery series isn’t quite as over the top quirky as I am normally drawn to it still had likable characters and a charming setting that has brought me back book after book. In the second book I was a bit disappointed with the romantic angle of the plot but that has thankfully calmed down a bit in book 3 making this one a bit more enjoyable. Lucy and Katie are becoming quite the fun pair to follow so I’ll definitely come back for book 4 to see what happens next.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

One Feta in the Grave is a another hit in the Kebab Kitchen series set in Ocean Crest on the Jersey shore. But be warned, do not read on an empty stomach! From the great sounding food from the Kebab Kitchen comes a array of hummus, baklava, date cookies, kebabs, soup and more and then from Cutie's Cupcakes, lemon meringue pie and more...then the Coffee Shop. You get the drift. Food is just a part of the series. Lucy Berberian manages her family's Mediterranean restaurant, Kebab's Kitchen, after a time of working in a Philadelphia law firm. Lucy seems to have a way of finding dead bodies but with the help of her best friend, Katie, she also finds a way to solve the cases. Unfortunately, Detective Clemmons doesn't appreciate her skills.
At the start of this story, there is a beach festival going on at the boardwalk. Lucy is overseeing the vendors selling food and wine. Katie is overseeing the judging of the sand sculpture contest, in which Lucy is a judge. While Lucy is taking a break, she discovers the murdered body of local businessman, Archie Kincaid. Katie is also taking a break, unbeknownst to Lucy nor is Katie aware of Lucy taking a break on the beach. Because of a dispute between Katie and Archie, she is a suspect in the murder. Lucy sets out to prove she is innocent with the blessing of Katie's husband and police officer, Bill. Of course, the investigation shows that Archie is not liked by a lot of people and there are surprises that pop out about his personal life that no one knew. Their undercover work brings on danger and stress but it is always fun to see what they turn up.
Poor Lucy has two tall, dark and handsome fellows interested in her. Azad is head chef in the restaurant and an old flame of Lucy's. Can the flame be rekindled or can she trust him not to hurt her again? Michael manages his father's bicycle shop next door and is a great friend in a bad boy motorcycle riding guy. Either one gets my vote. Mystery and romance make this another great read by Tina Kashian.
I received a complimentary ARC from Kensington Books through NetGalley. All thoughts expressed are mine only.

One Feta in the Grave is the third book in the Kebab Kitchen Mystery Series. The story starts with the the beach festival and Lucy Berberian is helping out. One of the vendors is murdered and her best friend is high on the list of top suspects.

Lucy's romance with Azad continues in this third book.
I love this series so much. The characters are fun and the mystery is well thought out.
I was guessing until the very end.

There are fun recipes from Kebab Kitchen included in the book, I am going to try one out myself!

It was delightful to return to the Kebab Kitchen for another murder mystery. Not necessary to have read the previous two as this is a stand alone. Lots of food, a bit of romance, a cat, and good friends all add up to an enjoyable story.

ONE FETA IN THE GRAVE, the third book in the Kebab Kitchen Mystery series, by Tina Kashian is a delightful sun-drenched, seaside cozy mystery. The author brings small-town Jersey shore and boardwalk culture to life. The reader will feel like they are immersing themselves in the last hurrah of hot summer days with a sand sculpture contest, a wine and food festival featuring local restaurants, and carnival rides. You can smell the Coppertone, taste the cold ice cream, and hear the laughter, until murder brings the festive atmosphere to a screeching halt… I love the way Ms. Kashian uses words to paint vivid pictures of both her settings and her characters. She wraps the theme of family and friendship into the story with heartwarming results.

Ms. Kashian brings protagonist, Lucy Berberian, and the supporting cast to a tightly-developed plot. Lucy would rather not get involved in murder, especially given her previous close calls with killers. Even though she knows the town is suffering financial distress by the interruption to their last summer tourist event, she’s determined to let the town’s detective (who dislikes Lucy and her family) solve the case. I loved seeing how the author weaves her tale, pulling Lucy into getting involved despite her reluctance. I find it adds to the creativity of the plot and avoids the “just because of curiosity” excuse. It also gives Lucy more of a human connection to the other characters in the book, allowing the reader to relate more. The exciting conclusion wraps the threads of the plot and subplot together for a satisfying and entertaining read!

Lucy is a first generation American with an Armenian, Greek, and Lebanese heritage. When her parents immigrated to the Jersey shore, they opened their Kebab Kitchen restaurant which Lucy now manages. While Lucy isn’t much of a cook, her mother is inspiring her to learn. Thankfully, Lucy isn’t the chef and instead, the mouthwatering food coming from the kitchen belongs to Lucy’s romantic interest, Azad. Fortunately for the reader, Ms. Kashian includes several recipes at the back of the book. They all sound fantastic!

This is the third book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I would recommend reading the others. This author is a great story teller. I enjoyed the book very much. The mystery had me guessing left and right. There was a little action and a little bit of romance. Recipes included. I think this book is certainly worth reading.

This is part of a series, however, it is the first one I've read. I don't feel that it put me at a disadvantage for this book. The mystery was interesting and kept me guessing. I enjoyed meeting the characters, I found them interesting and liked all of the relationships. The locale was fun.

I thank the publisher and NetGalley for my eARC in exchange for an honest reivew. - I look forward to more in this series.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to read this book!

This is the third book in the Kebab Kitchen mystery series, but I haven't read the others. I always say one of the marks of a good cozy series is the ability to pick up any book and not feel like you've been left behind, as is the case here. Some books add too many characters or situations, but this one felt just right and struck the right tone. The mystery was interesting and the cast of characters under suspicion was varied and each rang true until the real murderer was revealed. I particularly like the romantic lead Azad. He makes a comment at one point that made me dislike him, but he turned it around in the end. Plus, although I love my detective/sleuth romances, it's nice to see a cozy heading in a different direction.

Just one of what appears to be a great series. Four stars.

With a sand castle contest and live music, Ocean Crest bids a bittersweet farewell to tourist season. Summer will return next year … but Archie Kincaid won’t. The full-of-himself store owner has been fatally shot, soon after a screaming match with Lucy’s best friend. Katie’s far from the only suspect, though, since Archie had some bitter rivals—as well as some relationships no one knew about. It’s up to Lucy to look into some seedy characters and solve the case before the wrong person gets skewered …

Lucy manages her family's Mediterranean restaurant on the Jersey shore, but also seems to have a knack for solving mysteries. This latest installment falls in the middle of a town festival when a much disliked shop owner is found murdered. Lucy can't resist getting involved in solving the crime. And, her romance with head chef Azad is also heating up, but will he tolerate her friendship with another guy?

This was a quick read, with several new townspeople introduced, each with a unique story. The number of possible suspects adds to the intrigue in the book, though it was pretty easy to guess who really did it. Perhaps because I love Mediterranean foods, I enjoy the inclusion of daily specials at the restaurant, including several recipes at the end of the book. I also like the presence of the stray cat Gadoo, but wish that he would be adopted by someone, to send a message that stray cats have a very dangerous life. Maybe get Lucy involved in cat rescue in a future episode?
