One Feta in the Grave is fun, enjoyable and engrossing. Lucy runs her family’s Mediterranean restaurant on the Jersey Shore. The tourist season is winding down and the Ocean Crest sand sculpture contest is in full swing. When a body of a local business owner is found under the boardwalk during the festivities suspicion falls on Lucy’s best friend Kate, who was seen arguing with the surly merchant before his demise. Although he had many enemies, the police seem intent to zero in on Kate, causing Lucy and Kate to engage in some crafty sleuthing to catch the real culprit. The Kebab Kitchen mystery series is a clever culinary cozy mystery. The cast of characters feel like old friends. The recipes are mouthwatering. Bring on the next in the series!

This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites! The characters feel like home, every interaction, and most of all the food! I love how strong but conflicted the main character is. The mystery was full of twists that I couldn’t put it down!

It's the end of summer, and the small seaside town of Ocean Crest, New Jersey is celebrating with a week long beach festival, but when Lucy Berberian finds one of the merchants shot to death under the boardwalk the celebrations come to a screeching halt, and she needs to investigate whodunit when her bestie, Katie, is suspected of the dastardly deed! One Feta in the Grave, Tina Kashian's third Kebab Kitchen Mystery, is a traditional culinary cozy mystery complete with likable recurring characters, unlikable suspects, yummy recipes, and a little bit of romance. It's quite an enjoyable read, and this cozy lover highly recommends it. A+

I’ve enjoyed my returns to this Jersey shore series., with Lucy always being up to something new. Well written background and wonderful, relatable characters. That keep up with the fast pace and enjoyable storyline.

One Feta in the Grave is the third book in Tina Kashian’s Kebab Kitchen Mystery series. The mystery is solid and well plotted, the storyline is engaging, and the characters are well developed and affable. This book moves at a steady pace with plenty of suspects, twists and turns, and red herrings. I was kept guessing the whole time and quite surprised at the murderer was revealed.

Lucy Berberian recently quit her job as an attorney at a Philadelphia law firm, returned to her hometown of Ocean Crest, New Jersey, and took over the management of Kebab Kitchen, her family’s restaurant, as her parents, Angela and Raffi, ease into retirement. Her dad’s teaching her the ropes of the daily running of the restaurant, her mother is teaching her how to cook, and she hired her ex-boyfriend, Azad Zakarian, as head chef. She’s staying with her best friend, Katie Watson, who works at Ocean Crest’s town hall, her police officer husband, Bill. As summer and tourist season are ending, the town is hosting weeklong beach festival that was the last moneymaking event of the year. Lucy was exhausted, and while taking a break from the food and wine tasting event she was in charge of, she was walking on the beach and found Archie Kincaid’s body under the boardwalk. Archie wasn’t well liked, and there were plenty of people with motives, but Detective Calvin Clemmons, Ocean Crest’s sole investigator, immediately focused his investigation on Katie because not only had she and the victim been involved in a couple of heated confrontations, but she had also taken a break on the beach around the time the murder occurred. Detective Clemmons is the lead investigator, and Bill’s taken off the case due to a conflict of interest. Lucy’s older sister, Emma, has a history with Calvin and since he holds a grudge against their family, Lucy’s concerned that he’ll focus on Katie and won’t give the investigation his best effort. When it looks like Katie might be Detective Clemmons’ prime suspect, Bill asks Lucy to keep her eyes and ears open and ask a few questions, but she gets more involved than she should.

I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from NetGalley and voluntarily reviewed it.

A charming fast paced cozy mystery filled with family, good friends, a delightful beach town setting, a touch of romance and, of course, delicious food. Lucy Berberian has come home to Ocean Crest to take over managing the family restaurant. She is living in the guest room of her best friend Katie, who is married to Bill, a member of the local police force. Ocean Crest is having a food and wine festival to encourage tourism and during the festival while Lucy is taking a break from her duties and walking on the beach, she finds the dead body of Archie, one of the local merchants. Archie had many enemies in town, but he had recently had two run ins with Katie and Detective Clemmons soon hones in on Katie as one of the lead suspects, That leaves Lucy and Katie no choice but to investigate on their own, especially since Bill has been pulled off the case because of his relationship with Katie. And once again the two intrepid women are able to figure out who the real culprit is. I greatly enjoyed this story, with its compelling plot, descriptions of the delicious food served at the restaurant, and was happy to see the growing relationship between Lucy and Azad. I highly recommend this series.

As Ocean Crest wraps up the Summer season with a beach festival, Lucy Berberian has her hands full running the family restaurant in addition to judging the sand castle contest and managing the food tasting event. When she finally gets a chance to get off her feet and take a stroll on the beach Lucy finds the body of a local business owner who seems to have rubbed a lot of people the wrong way all over town.

The festival is cancelled, the entire town is upset since this is their last big hurrah to earn enough money to get through the off season. With a murderer loose, tourists just won’t feel safe and Lucy really wants the festival to continue. But it is having her BFF Katie named a suspect that forces her to break her no involvement rule and begin digging around to find out who did the deed.

In typical Lucy fashion that means getting more involved than she should and that puts both Azad and Michael into protective male mode. With things finally starting to heat up between Lucy and Azad, this could put an end to their new beginning just as the murderer could put an end to Lucy.

Love this series. Being a Jersey gal who grew up going to The Shore, this book takes me back to the water and boardwalk. You can almost smell the food and salty air. The characters are well developed and the writing and mystery are solid. Enough red herrings to keep you guess right up to the end.
