Elizabeth and Axel’s story was everything I wanted and then some! Axel’s sexy, Scottish self and silver tongue more then met his match with Elizabeth’s feisty temperament and artistic personality. Their chemistry was intense and insanely hot! The time Axel invested building foundations of trust with Elizabeth while simultaneously sinking her deep into the folds of his crazy, supportive, and rambunctious family simply melted my heart like nothing else! And while I enjoyed seeing the rest of the crew, and gracious knows they can provide endless entertainment, I loved how the focus was all about Axel and Elisabeth.

Book six in the Men of Haven series, Down and Dirty was a flipping fantastic read that will rock your world!

Down & Dirty by Rhenna Morgan was absolutely delightful! You can always count on alphas—male and female! Every single character rocks the alpha and beta vibe that makes them so relatable and delectable. Yes, please!—lots of humor, loads of super hot sexy tension, and enough heart squeezes to leave you breathless. I didn’t want this one to end.

Let me start by saying that this definitely felt more character-driven then the others in the series, and I absolutely loved it. It was just what I needed. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still a foe to conquer and the men banding together and plotting, but it was all about the emotional bonds first and foremost.

Axel’s a big, red-haired, beard-rockin' Scotsman with a kinky side, and he has set his eyes on upcoming rock star, Lizzy. But Lizzy’s gun-shy, and she’s not sure that Axel is the real deal. Luckily for them all, Axel’s got more than one person on his side when woo-ing his lady ;)

I mean, it also doesn’t hurt that Axel’s rocking a man-bun, charisma, a Scottish accent, and green eyes, but he’s also too sweet to boot! Then came this description: [He was] “an ancient warrior trapped in the wrong time, but utterly comfortable wielding a pen instead of a sword.” Like, rip Axel right out of my fantasies, why don’t you, Rhenna? *heart eyes* *dies*

And then there's Lizzy who isn't afraid to settle the score. A complete rock star, literally and figuratively. This was HER story. HER comeback. HER journey to overcoming. She goes toe-to-toe with our sexy Scotsman and demands her due. Watching her come back into her own, discover everything she didn't know she wanted, just gave me so much happiness.

FAIR WARNING: I teared up so damn much. Keep those tissue boxes handy.

The romance is just ON POINT and FLAMING HOT. The connection is deep and intense and just keeps building. This was my first 5-star read this year, and for good reason. I’m recommending it hard-core!

This was my first time reading Rhenna Morgan but it certainly won't be my last! After reading Axel's story I can't wait to go back and read the rest of the Men of Haven series.

Definitely recommend this title to fans of alpha heroes!
