One disastrous blind date that included too much whiskey on Remi’s part, which may not have led to a second date, but certainly made for a great story for Adam. The tale of the Whisky Chick becomes a family favourite to tell when everyone gets together for meals. A couple of years later, when Remi unknowingly becomes friends with Adam’s sister, things definitely get awkward, complicated and uncomfortable. From hilarious to steamy hot to gushy sweet...this book is an incredibly fun must read! Fair warning...Chapter 7 is the funniest thing I’ve ever read, literally had tears of laughter streamed down my face...you’ll need tissue!

Whiskey Everything is everything funny, sexy and entertaining.four standalone stories that are loosely connected through family and friends. Great characters and stories that will make you laugh and fall in love with them. the four characters are different with different experiences that lead them to love. When whiskey if involved anything can happen.

Jaxson - too much whiskey

Remy - awkward dates

Henry - unlucky in love

Jenn- brother's ex girlfriend

Loved this book! I laughed so hard while reading this romcom. It's everything that you hope DOESN'T happen on a blind date.

Adam is set up on a blind date and he's nervous. He heard great things about the girl, so he went all out and meets her at an expensive restaurant. It's instant chemistry between them, the minute he shakes her hand he feels a spark. Problem is she has three drinks on an empty stomach and gets drunk. He makes her order, hoping to sober her up, and she drunk orders the lobster. But he refuses to end the date because they really hit it off before she got drunk. When he drives her home, she passes out in his car. She wakes up embarrassed and he walks her to the door. When he leans in for a kiss goodnight, she pukes all over him. This becomes his legendary "Whiskey Chick" story that he still tells everyone two years later. He's still hung up on her, but afraid that she drank herself silly just to survive the date, so he never pursued her.

Remi is being set up by her friend Jenn, unknowingly. Jenn wants her brother, Henry, to get over his toxic ex. So she pushes the mismatched pair together. Jenn invites Remi up to the family cabin for the weekend and she meets her other brother after the girls get drunk. She meets him by kissing him, thinking that he's Henry. It turns out to be Adam. At dinner, the Whiskey Chick story is told, and Remi is mortified that she's been the butt of a tale for over 2 years. Even though a fake name is inserted over hers, she's upset. She thought that there was something between her and Adam before she got stupid drunk. In fact, that's why she drank so much in the first place; she was so nervous.

Jenn is so set on Remi and Henry getting together that she doesn't see what's happening between Remi and Adam.

After spending an amazing day alone with Adam, they both talk about the past and clear the air. But later that night, Jenn tells her that Adam's in love with someone, so don't get too excited. So Remi feels played.

It turns out that he's in love with the Whiskey Chick. When

A must read!

I went into Whiskey Chick expecting to see a bad date and then them try again immediately... and although that did not happen... it turned out even better. The story happens TWO YEARS post bad date and I think that made it all the more fascinating as I quickly learned neither character fully got over that first date. Whiskey Chick turned into a classic clusterf*ck of a RomCom. Everything is going wrong for these characters meanwhile I am reaching for the popcorn and sucked into the drama. The themes in this book would have been cliche if done differently, but somehow Ringbloom just orchestrates it to perfection. Complete. Utter. Perfection.Adam is basically a grown up boy next door... let’s call him a “good man with a plan” and I couldn’t get enough of his perspective and thoughts. He is just good with a small side of jaded as no one wants to set up his perpetually single self.Remi is a hot mess and for once I am glad a character didn’t completely “grow out of it” because she is just better a bit messy. I also always appreciate a character who didn’t have it figured out so early in life. This book was quick but certainly memorable. It has all the great makings of a light but complex story with the low key drama.

Whiskey Chick is a cute whiskey-fueled romcom! It's definitely a lighter read, with a lot of whiskey references and plenty of comical misunderstandings.

I will say that some of the core pieces of the story rubbed me the wrong way (i.e. characters being pretty judgemental in general, plus I just don't understand how this "Whiskey Chick" story would become such a well-loved family tale), but nothing was too crazy. If you're looking for a lighter romcom read, and you're not opposed to whiskey-fueled humor, it's worth a shot!

I saw a lot of good reviews for this one, but the description and cover left me kind of disgusted. It just looks so low brow and cheap. And, there are certainly a huge stretch of moments where you're wondering if you can respect these characters... then, it just becomes kind of messed up, campy, heartfelt fun like a 90 min rom com movie. Nice, quick and fun.

Loved this story. I liked that it took an atypical look at a bad date. While in other books this would be the horrid date that the future H or h comes after, instead we have a second chance romance that is both sweet, spicy and very funny. This book is the second in a series, and reads as a standalone. Overall, a great rom-com. *I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and this is my voluntary and honest review.

A funny lovely hot read. Another great story with great characters. Remi and Adams reconnect on awkward circumstances. All the characters are great and I loved all the fun that happens in a book. A great fun light read.

Awwwwwkkkkkkwarrrrd!!!!

Seriously, the Whiskey Chick story is priceless. It's a piece of folklore and the stuff legends are made of. It's a highly amusing and entertaining romantic comedy. If you need a laugh, a pick me up, or a break from heavy- this book will do it.

One bad drink decision at a time. So raise your glass and be glad it's not Whiskey dick!😂

Remi and Adam met two years ago on a blind date that ended in an awkward way. Adam regularly shares the story of his bad date with his friends and family but they've never actually seen each other since. Then one day Adam's sister Jenn sets Remi up with her other brother Henry, which leads to Remi and Adam running into one another again.

Adam is such a sweet guy with a really kind heart, whilst Remi is a fun-loving girl who lacks a filter but is a pure sweetheart. Seeing these two together was so much fun, they were the perfect match for one another!

If you are in need of a light, entertaining read then this definitely fits the bill. I read it in one sitting on a bus trip, it only took an hour to read overall so is perfect for squeezing in between larger, more daunting reads. However, I did find myself wishing there was more character development and more page time with Remi and Adam together. I loved what we got of them, I just feel like it wasn't quite enough for me.

My first book by this author but won't be my last

This story features Adam and Remi. This is a second chance romance with some pretty quirky characters. The story line is fun and has great flow for being a shorter book.

This review will be short because I am rushing off to Amazon to buy the rest of Ryan Ringbloom's library! Whiskey Chick was the third of Ryan's books that I have read and I need more of humor in my life. This is a short, fun, and sweet read that I couldn't put down. I knew Remi was going to be a hot mess from her small part in Whiskey Dick and she did not disappoint me. I can't wait to start reading another Ryan Ringbloom book.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
