This is book one in the Burns Brothers series and it features Austin and Rachel. The relationship between these two was often tension filled. They didn’t really know each other and he was often mad or she was upset or others were mad and that would upset them. The Burns Brothers have got some heated tempers. I thought he had a very good reason for his big blowout with Dylan. In my opinion, she tends to overreact but I guess that might be the overprotective mother in her. The Burns Brothers will have a lot to deal with in a couple months and I don’t envy being Dylan or Ryan in that situation.

Fantastic story line and great characters. For me the brothers’ part of the story line was more intriguing than the romance. I’m definitely looking forward to book 2.

Build: A Bad Boy Snowed In Romance by Gillian Archer was kindly provided by author via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. So I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Build was my first book of Gillian Archer, and I’m glad I got a chance to read it. Now I just want to read more of her work, especially, the next book in this new and sexy adult contemporary bad boy romance ‘Burns Brothers’ series, as Build was an excellent start to it.

Let’s start with the characters first, at the beginning I was not a fan of Austin but he grew on me with time, and at the end he was redeemed and lovable. He was not only a bada** a-hole but actually sweet, caring, protective and thoughtful guy. Burns’ family was dysfunctional but when it matters you could count on them, so they know how to slip in your heart without you noticing it.

Nora didn’t need a knight in shining armour to save her, because she was strong and stubborn woman, who was ready to fight her own battles. Her son Wyatt was adorable and cute.

All of the characters were real people with flaws, who made mistakes and learned from them.

The best of all I liked that there was no OW or OM drama. I didn’t get bored at any point, which is a rare thing for me with contemporary romances that are not a RomCom book, so I must admit that Miss Archer knows how to keep you entertained and wanting to keep reading. The same time I actually cared about these characters, I cried and smiled with them, and my heart was broken and then healed.

I enjoyed the story even though it was not a very light and fluffy one, because both MCs didn’t have easy lives, they had their problems and heavy burdens to carry. However, it was sizzling, intensive and emotional story. The ending wasn’t corny or cheesy, which tend to happen with romance books, instead it was fun and sweet.

Overall, I enjoyed reading this book, and would recommend it to commentary romance lovers, because this is a great one. So it’s time to fall for a bad boy with glorious muscles and a web of tattoos covering his chest and arms by joining Rachel and Austin on their sweet, sizzling, complicated and angsty snowed in romance, that received 4 stars from me. I can’t wait for the next brother’s story.

Austin seems to be carrying the world on his shoulders. Or at least the protection of his brothers. He’s risen to the challenge but it wasn’t necessarily by choice. His past is dark and frightening and shadows his present. Rachel likewise carries a heavy burden as she struggles to provide for her son and her disabled mother. There is no time or money for even the simple things in life much less a relationship. Which opens her up to the possibility of spending one wild night with the man of her dreams.

This is one of those feel good romances that is laced with just enough angst to keep things interesting and then springing a large conflict that makes the characters re-evaluate their priorities. Both Rachel and Austin are damaged in some way and both have their faults that tend to lead their decision making. But when things are flowing smoothly for them they are perfect together. With a medium range of heat, a tiny tot on the peripheral of the story, and a group of brothers that define dysfunctional it kept my interest until the end.

This story actually surprised me by not going in the direction I thought it would. It is definitely not your cookie cutter romance. Although a few interactions between the characters felt a bit stilted and the chemistry a tiny bit lacking, the ending rang with sincerity along with a sweet little epilogue that I wish had been longer and a little further out. Hopefully we get more of them as this series continues. After all, there are three more brothers and they each promise an interesting read.

Two Unlikely people find happiness!!!

We get taken on a odds are against them love story in the newest series from a great author. Two people who are protecting there hearts and those they love. Both are always putting others first and carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders just in very different ways.

Authors Blurb: Austin Burns:I thought she wasn’t real the first time I saw her. To be fair I was a hungover mess when I woke up and looked into her gorgeous eyes. After getting the second worst news of my life — that my father would be paroled soon — I’d escaped to my buddy’s posh cabin near Lake Tahoe. Now the maid with the gorgeous eyes is snowed in with me, and I wonder if she might be a better distraction than the mountain of booze I’d planned on drinking. She’s curvy in all the right places, and the snow is falling faster.
Rachel Tannenbaum: As a single mom, I don’t have time for men, especially irresponsible tattooed bad boys like my ex. But Austin is hot. And sexy. And stuck here in the cabin with me. I can’t say no to a fling with this bad boy, especially since Austin is so gorgeous and awkwardly sweet.
One night becomes two, and I don’t know if I can risk my heart — and my little boy’s — if Austin wants it to become more when we get through the snow and back to reality.

really enjoyed this book and it kept me engrossed throughout. I really loved the characters and the way they interacted with each other. This is a fun, hot, romantic must read book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

Build: Gillian Archer’s Build is the first offering in her A Bad Boy Snowed in Romance.
Rachel and Austin are thrown together by circumstance but their connection is immediate. I liked how the brothers and Austin’s extended family are introduced to the reader, as well as Rachel’s son Wyatt and her mother and and the importance both their families play in the story. While both Rachel and Austin come with their own baggage which caused some of ups and downs it’s all worth it to get to their HEA.
I received an advance reader copy via Netgalley.

This is the first story in a new series and Austin Burns and Rachel Tannenbaum are snowbound at Lake Tahoe and have to make the best of it. Wildly attracted to each other, both have issues of their own and working them out might just be the end of their new relationship.
While I haven’t read a lot of Gillian Archer, I know enough to say I will like it and I did. It was refreshing to see characters who become famous to be regular people, family fights and all. While I felt there were some small issues with the storyline, I don’t feel they detracted from the story or are worth a mention. What I can say is it a good romance read - take a chance - you won’t regret it!

Excellent start to what should be a fun new series. Both the main and secondary characters are fun and interesting and I can't wait for more of these over the top brothers. Loved the banter between the characters and the chemistry between Austin and Rachel was sizzling. Both of the characters had moments where you wanted to smack them but overall I wanted to see them find their way. I would definitely recommend this very enjoyable book.

"I had a toddler and a mountain of bills to take care of. I didn't have time for bad boys with their hard bodies, sexy tattoos, and sultry looks."

This was my first time to read a Gillian Archer book and I really enjoyed it. I was especially intrigued to learn she has an MC romance series and I'll most definitely be checking out her backlist. I confess it was the cover that caught my attention at first, and then who could read the synopsis and resist "Welcome to Bad@ss Builds where the motorcycles are as sexy as the brothers building them."? Not me, that's for sure!

Austin is the oldest badass brother. When his life was blown apart by the actions of his father he had to step up and help take care of his brothers. He's got anger issues and attitude to spare and he doesn't deny being an asshole. I doubt he tries to hard to curb it though since that's exactly what seems to attract his fans. His dysfunctional family is very popular and good for business, it seems their recent shenanigans have gained them some attention and increased their sales.

When Rachel shows up at the Lake Tahoe cabin to clean she finds a gorgeous guy gazing at her with a dazed look on his face. He's obviously drunk and has no clue why she's there. "I was here to clean his freaking ski cabin. I was the help. I couldn't let myself get lost in any fantasies of turning bad boys good or at the very least tracing the web of tattoos covering his chest and arms. Bad, Rachel." Well, I guess that makes me a bad Rosa, cuz I was having those same fantasies...sigh. I'm surprised there was a need for a snowplow to rescue them when the heat between them could have melted the snow. 🔥

After getting the backstory and learning what had Austin so upset he ran off to drown himself in booze to forget about it I was totally invested. This being only the first book in the series I know there will be lots more information forthcoming regarding that issue and I'm very curious to see how that pans out. I'm also interested in seeing if some strong women have better luck taming those three younger brothers. They are all strong-minded and hardheaded and even though I was only present virtually I still felt the need to hide in a corner when they were fighting.

And then there's Rachel's little boy. Imagine having little-man and big-man in the same room. Yup, it will have your ovaries exploding. I'm looking forward to more Burns Brothers and Bad@ss Builds. The line forms here...

I enjoyed this book very much. There was a bit too much back and forth, I like you, I hate you, going on, but Austin and Rachel were very good together and the love scenes were hot. It was nice that both the H and h figured out what was important in the end.

Loved this book! It’s one of the better books I’ve read in awhile. At first, I didn’t like Austin that much. He was kind of an ass. But he ended up being a great guy to Rachel and her family. As far as Rachel, I liked her sometimes and other times I didn’t. I loved how she was a great mother to her son though.
Would definitely recommend this book!
I received an ARC from Netgalley for my honost review on this book. Thanks Netgalley!

BUILD is my first read by Gillian Archer and I was definitely not disappointed that I gave her a try. The first in a series about brothers who build custom motorbikes; this is the eldest brother, Austin’s story. A natural born protector, Austin takes his role as the eldest seriously, and can’t help but exhibit those protective attributes when someone is in need.

Rachel is a single mother, with no time for romance. She definitely does not have any interest in a tattooed, over-protective, bad boy, sexy biker. But time in confined spaces can change a person’s outlook, and Rachel is going to need to protect her heart.

The story has an engaging plot, well-developed characters and interesting world building too. Emotions are high a lot of the time, but there is never any doubt about the chemistry that ignites whenever Rachel is within Austin’s orbit. So, while common sense says “run, and run fast”, the heart often has very different ideas. BUILD is a fabulous beginning to this brand new series and the sneak peek into book two, only whets the reader’s appetite for more of the Burns. I for one can’t wait!

Rachel, a single mom raising her 3 year old and helping her paralyzed mom works 2 jobs. She’s running late to her last cleaning job in the mountains where she meets Austin, a motorcycle building stud muffin who’s just received some bad news and has run away to his friend’s cabin. They get snowed in and decide to have a 1 night stand. Their relationship develops after being stuck for 2 days and learning more about each other.

I liked Rachel’s character. She’s stressed and puts her son and mom first. She’s somewhat insecure, but is strong standing up for herself and her family. She’s also pretty confident in bed too.

Austin is super hot and is definitely a dick early on, but learns to harness his softer side through the story.

There’s some sex obviously, but well written with steam, but not overly gratuitous. There’s a great story that’s more than just, “hey, let’s hook up and have a great relationship from there”. They have to work through their real world problems to see if they can work.

I cant begin to explain how much I liked this book. This book centers around two individuals who have so much baggage between them but they are doing everything in their power to rise above it and protect those that they love.

Austin is the oldest of 4 brothers and have been the protector his whole life. There has been sacrifices made that has set him on a path. Things were done to his family when he was younger and he will never be able to get over it. We the reader find out very quickly about his inability to cope with things being thrown is way. He tend to go within himself and drink.

Rachel is a single mom who is just trying to make ends meet and be the sole provider for both her son and mom. Even though life is tough for her, she is a pretty upbeat person who desperately loves her son and want to do nothing but protect him.

These two get snowed in one weekend and lose themselves in each other being they can shut the world out. When they dig out, that's when they find out if they can remain together and move ahead. A couple false starts and both of them giving a little made this a really enjoyable read.

An engaging story of stuck together people who fall into insta-lust and must later build on that relationship to grow into love. Austin and Rachel are a couple you can relate to. They have their ups and downs and battle through adversity. I really liked that not everything came easy to either one of them. I love family stories and the Burns brothers are stories I want to continue devouring. Oh, and the sexy times are not bad either.

**I received a copy of Build from XpressoBook Tours and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. The opinions expressed below are mine alone and not solicited in any way.**

Build by Gillian Archer is the first book in her Burns Brothers series about a four brothers (Austin, Ryan, Nathan and Dylan) who own a custom build motorcycle business. This is Austin and Rachel's story. I have read all of the author's True Brothers MC series and loved them. However, this one was a bit different and is a solid 4.0 stars. I'm curious to see which brother gets their story next.

Rachel Tannenbaum works two sometimes three jobs to keep a roof over her families heads. With a preschool age boy, her deadbeat ex who doesn't help financially and her mother not being able to work due to a car accident she works a lot to keep the bills paid. When her newest house cleaning job takes her to Lake Tahoe during a snow storm she doesn't expect to get snowed in with Austin Burns who while he's on a reality cable series is trying to have a weekend off to deal with the parole of his father. But will both of Austin and Rachel decide to live a bit and see if there weekend of fun become permanent?

Austin Burns works with his brothers who can be testy and trying frequently but when Ryan tries his patience with lateness plus a botched paint job for the West Coast Kings becomes the last straw. When he finds out that his dad is going to be released on parole, he escapes to Tahoe and his friends cabin. But his weekend of a drinking and movie with Blue his dog soon will include Rachel who worries about missing her son and keeping bills paid being snowed in prevents her from working her jobs. But Austin is determined to prove to her that he can help her shoulder the heavy burdens of her raising a little boy and caring for her mother will they both find a family and love that will give them what they both need?

I wanted more from the story. More time with them together coming together as a family. More brother time. More time in the motorcycle shop.

Love the brothers and looking forward to their stories. I see this book as a prologue to the series.

This is the first book that I have read by author Gillian Archer and I will admit that the synopsis and cover are what grabbed me right off the bat. But,

This new series focuses on the brother Burns and their custom motorcycle shop. I love all things motorcycles, so I was excited to read this book!

This book follows Austin, the oldest Burns brother. This book had angst, swooniness and there are redemption and forgiveness in this story. The perfect combination!

I can't wait for more books in this series and more Burns brothers- plus I want to check out more books from this author!

Austin is the oldest of four and has been taking care of his brothers his whole life. He finds out his father is about to be paroled and he runs away to be drunk. Enter Rachel, a single mother who is the cleaning lady at the house he is staying in.
Now add in a blizzard. I-80 is closed meaning they are snowed in together for two nights. Can you guess what these get up to?

I enjoyed this book, but I have a lot of unanswered questions. Questions that might get answered in the next book (I’m guessing Ryan and the blonde), but I just don’t know.
*Sigh*

I do recommend this book. I just need some answers. :)

Rachel works hard to support her young son and invalid mother. One of her jobs is cleaning houses so when she runs into Austin who is staying at a friends luxury cabin she's surprised. She recognizes him from his reality TV show where he and his brothers custom build motorcycles. He's going through a crisis and she's trying to get her life together so they have a lot in common. They get snowed in and begin a hot one/two night stand that turns into more. Enjoyable romance.

I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review. As a fan of this author’s True Brother series I was excited for the opportunity to read this book and boy was I not disappointed. If you ever get snowed in this is what you dream could happen. After getting some devastating news Austin escapes from his motorcycle building business demands and stays at a friends house to get drunk and unwind. There he meets Rachel who’s cleaning the house. It was a bit of a rough start for the two with Austin acting like an a**, but the heat between the two ignites quickly. This is a instaromance/relationship with a lot of heat andsteamy scenes but the relationship blooms from there. As we know you can’t be snowed in forever and soon reality intrudes with a bit of a bumpy road but in the end Austin really shows that his attitude is just a front and he is willing to work for the relationship. I think this is a great start to a new series and recommend this book. I can’t wait for book #2. 5 stars
