What happened to me with this book was very weird... I kinda warmed up to both characters from the start, but I failed to feel that huge chemistry between them... Also, while reading the book, I couldn't get rid of the feeling Lowe wanted to sleep with Faith and have a little good time on that boat... Never once I got the feeling of love and then that love statement at the end felt misplaced and abrupt... Other than that, it's a nicely written book.

Julie Cannon is a fantastic writer and I have loved all of her books. Lowe and Faith are from totally different worlds but when they “ran” into each other, the sparks flew. I feel that the best part of this novel are the descriptions of the different places the characters went and all of the adventures they had. The romance was sweet but left a little bit to be desired. Overall this is a cute and quick read.

Julie Cannon is a terrific writer and this book does not disappoint. The characters of Lowe and Faith are well developed. From the moment these to meet there is an instant and undeniable connection. The only problem is Faith works on a luxury ocean liner that caters to its residents. The ship has a strong policy that workers cannot fraternize with residents or their guest. Faith very much loves her job and doesn't want to do anything that could jeopardize it because she desperately needs the money.
Lowe is the daughter of one of the more wealthy residents on this floating condominium and her parents and sister are very class conscience and would never tolerate Lowe getting connection to a worker. How this dilemma works out well frustrating is incredibly interesting. This story is much more than a rich girl poor girl and well worth the read.

In addition to excellent character development and remarkable sexual tension between the two lead characters it is fascinating to read about the phenomenal places that this ship travels. Cannons description of these ports of call are truly remarkable and said a beautiful background for the story.

Love love love Julie Cannon. Reading this I could feel the electricity between the characters. What a great adventure and romance from Julie Cannon absolutely wonderful.

A hot and cold romance that left me wanting more.

Lowe is the daughter of wealthy parents. She has ventured away from that lifestyle by moving to Phoenix and opening her own business. Once a year she visits her parents and sister on the Escape. A large ship that her parents live on.

Faith is a cute, blonde, British staff member on their boat. Lowe and Faith fatefully run into each other and there is an instant attraction. Lowe decides she is going to try and have a vacation fling with her.

Somewhere between dinners, coffees, and excursions, things become a bit more involved.

What I liked about this book was that it was a very slow build-up but every encounter felt entertaining. Normally I don't like a lot of description around activities that characters do in books. But I really enjoyed the excursions. It seemed like the author had either done these things before or did good research, because I felt like I was taking part in them. The dialogue was good and believable.

But on that note, the dialogue was frustrating. This is very much based on miscommunication or the lack thereof. Faith is so hot and cold until the very end that I wondered how Lowe could put up with it.

The POV kept changing without any type of indicator of who's head we are in. It was confusing and took a bit of time to figure it out each time it switched.

I was also left wanting more. The book mentions several things that never get a story or are not resolved. So I wondered what was the point in mentioning some things if they weren't going to pan out to be important. The end was satisfying but abrupt. There were major questions that were not answered.

Overall, this was a good read. I'd recommend it for those who like will they/won't they slow build romances.

A rich girl poor girl romance set on a boat.

Lowe and Faith meet on The Escape when they literally bump into each other. Faith works there for eight years while Lowe visit her parents who lives there every three weeks a year.

Lowe loves her family but doesn't really like how they are because they have money. The only bright spot of spending time with her family is Faith who give her break from her family.

Faith is attract to Lowe but doesn't know what to do because the captain of the ship has strict rules about crew members getting involved with the residents or their guests.

As their attraction grows will it be worth to give in or walk away. I did find it a bit confusing because it's written first povs sometimes you like who talking first.

This was an adorable short story. I loved the opposites attract trope and this one was done perfectly. If I have any criticism, it's only that this wasn't long enough! I need to know what happened to them. Alas, the trials of shorts. But this is a worthy read, regardless.

A rich girl – poor girl romance set in the context of The Suite Life kind of luxury ship. A feel good, tingly romance which is perfect for losing yourself into that world for a few hours.

Lowe Carter is the independent, open butch older daughter of an extremely pretentious and snobbish mother. Unfortunately for her, her younger sister, Victoria, is a spitting image of her mom and her father is mostly mentally and emotionally absent. However, being a “good daughter” she spends three weeks every year with her parents on-board the luxury ship in which they own one of the most expensive apartments. Faith Williams is a crew member of the said ship. Lowe and Faith literally crash into one another on the day Lowe is joining her parents. And sparks fly. However, the captain of the ship has strict rules about crew members getting involved with the residents or their guests. Any such involvement means a termination of employment for the crew member. But the heart finds its own way, right?

The attraction and chemistry between Lowe and Faith is palpable. It jumps off the black and white of the pages into the reader sending all sorts of interesting reactions in us right there along with the two MCs.

There are some holes and some unexplored areas in the plot, but those are minor to the romance which remains the unwavering focus. Also, it is written in first person alternating between the two MCs. At times this can become a challenge to follow which of the two is actually speaking.

Despite these minor blemishes, this is a nice – very nice – read. A good way to begin the new year.
