I really enjoyed this book! Enemies to lovers has to be one of my favorite story lines. Ms. Davies did it well. The characters had depth and a backstory. They weren’t just instant lovers. Good story!

This was okay for me. The writing was okay for the most part, but I did have a hard time liking these 2 together. Damien and Caitlyn are business rivals, and they end up at the same conference together. They end up discovering that they have chemistry, but honestly it was tiring the back and forth between them. We get it, your relationship could have consequences for both of you, but come on! The "will they, won't they" went on for too long in my opinion. They do end up getting their HEA which is a plus. The ending was sweet, and although this wasn't my favorite, I would be willing to read this author again.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.

This was an entertaining enemies to lovers story. Caitlyn and Damien are both second generation CEOs whose families are bitter rivals. When they meet unexpectedly at a conference sparks fly and a battle of wits ensues.

This was the third book in the series, however each book is a standalone connected by themes not characters and therefore there was no necessity to read the earlier books although I heartily recommend them. This was a fun story which I enjoyed very much, however it lacked the sweetness of the earlier books in the series and this did affect my rating.

Caitlyn is attending an out of town conference and never expected to see her nemesis Damien Reid, CEO of Reid enterprise. He has been after her company and she didn't want to start the conference facing him all week long. When she was trying to hide from Damien, it made everything worse for her. It fuel him to tease her more.
Not only she has to face him, they booked same floor. Now she has to find away to avoid him and enjoy the rest of the conference.
Damien never expected to find Caitlyn so soon. He is having great time annoying Caitlyn. More he runs into her, he enjoying more time with her and he wants to spend more time with her. So he decided to get her to have a dinner with her.
Their chemistry is off the chart and it will test their will. Now they wanted to live at the moment and have one night and go back to their normal selves.
After amazing night, they had to go back to where they were. They wanted to be away from each other but it didn't last long until Damien shows up at her doorstep. They didn't know what would happen but they promised each other, company will come first and keep work out of each other.
That is easy until problem cause more problems for both.. Will they give up their love for work or find a way to be with each other.

I ended up loving Damien and really sold on their love. It was really cute and quick read. Both were strong and smart CEOs. Loved when Damien stood up for Caitlyn when he was facing his mother.
I only read this one and I enjoyed it.

I really liked this book about two longtime business rivals giving into their attraction. The witty banter and tension drew me to their likable characters. They were straight with each other and there was no sneaking out in the middle of the night or angsty push and pull moments. At times it did feel slow, but I found myself always coming back and never skimmed.

I put off reading this for the cover alone. He doesn't fit the character I imagined. Plus, he kind of looks like Bill Hader (Stefan) who is not believable as a commanding and sophisticated CEO.

This is book three in the series, but it doesn't appear to share any characters.

I received an ARC of this novel through Netgalley in exchange for my review. When Caitlin runs into Damien Reid at a work conference it is everything but pleasant. Caitlin and Damien are bitter work rivals who are the CEO’s of competing pharmaceutical companies. As they spend time together at the conference, they have a hard time denying the chemistry that is brewing between them. But will it be enough to withstand the firestorm that their dating will create when their families and employees find out about a possible romance? This was a fast read and a very good romance!

I enjoyed this book, I have some of Ms. Davies books before and have enjoyed them and this was one of them. We meet Caitlyn who is the CEO of her fathers small pharmaceutical company and she can not let him down, this has been her fathers work and he is dying of cancer now and she knows that the success lies with her. Unfortunately for her, her rival is none other than the gorgeous Damien Reid, even though she hates him she can't help but be attracted to him. While they are on a r/r trip that they both claimed they needed to decompress (that part didn't make much sense since they were in conferences all day-work related) but anyhoo regardless they felt it was some mini vaca and Damian knowing he should stay away can't help but seek out Caitlyn. They give into the attraction and have an explosive night together both agreeing that after that they will go their separate ways, except that is not what happens!..Enjoy!

The characters make this read so enjoyable, they capture your attention from page one and hold you captive till the end. By far the best of the books in this series and might be my favourite by Victoria Davies book yet. Absolutely recommend

Sweet, fun, easy read. Excellently developed secondary characters, plot not overly dependant on tropes, and all in all a very enjoyable way to pass the time

This was such a fun read! This is the first book I have read from this author and it did not disappoint. The main characters were extremely likable and I really enjoyed the storyline. I love enemies to lovers stories as well as office romances and this had both. If you’re looking for a quick, sexy read then definitely give this a shot!

A little bit of a slow start, but Caitlyn and Damien's story ended up being a great read!

They are CEOs of opposing companies, but after running into each other at a conference they find it difficult to fight their attraction. While the story does mainly focus on the balance of work and romance, I did enjoy the focus on family and loyalty.

There were some really sweet moments between Caitlyn and Damien and even though they do have obstacles to overcome there is minimal angst.

A nice addition to Victoria Davies' series! Though it is the third in her Billionaire's Second Chance series, it can be read as a standalone.

4.5 stars - Pretty darn good, Catching the CEO is a business rivals to bed partners story and it’s good! I like how both the H and h are strong, confident characters who respect one another. It’s a match that doesn’t seem like it could ever work, with a major conflict of interest as the unmistakeable elephant in the room. Yet, that’s probably what makes the HEA so gratifying!

I received an ARC of this book, from the publisher, via NetGalley, in exchange for a fair and honest review.

If you are looking to read a quick contemporary romance book, then I recommend Catching the CEO by Victoria Davies. This was the first book I read from this author, and I enjoyed it. It’s the third book in The Billionaire’s Second Chance, but can be read as a standalone. One of the reasons why I liked this book was due to the fact it was Enemies to Lovers story. I’ve always loved this trope in romance stories. I also love when an author has both main characters point of views in the story too. This is when you can read both characters feelings for each other and its not one-sided.

Victoria Davies two main characters Caitlyn Brooks and Damien Reid are powerhouse CEOs, which are rivals of each other since they are in the same business of pharmaceuticals. They can’t stand each other, and they’ve had it out for each other for the past couple of years now until they end up spending time with each other at a conference. Now they are back home and can’t stop thinking about their time at the conference. There, of course, is going to be drama at home since they are supposed to be rivals.

If you’ve ever heard of the saying that if someone picks on you or annoys you, then it usually means the person likes you. Yup…this is one of those stories. I enjoyed the rivalry at the beginning between Caitlyn and Damien, and I felt the tension between the two, even though they didn’t want to admit it at first. When they finally got together, there were some very steamy moments. It’s not all initiated by Damien either. Both are powerhouse CEOs that like to be in charge, so they both take in charge in the boardroom and the bedroom.

Let’s not forget the drama that unfolds in the story though since they are rivals of each other. There’s a certain someone in the story that seriously ticked me off, but I’m happy that one of the main characters handled that certain someone that caused drama.

I look forward to reading more from Victoria Davies and reading the first two books in her Billionaire’s Second Changes series now altering this book.

Story Rating: 4 stars

Steaminess Rating: 3.5 stars

Standalone or part of series: Part of series, but can be read as a standalone since each book has a different couple/storyline.

Do I recommend this book? Yes.

Will I read other books from the author? Yes.

Damien and Caitlyn are rivaling companies in creating cures in the medical world. Damien has taken over his father's company, cutthroat business, while Caitlyn also is taking over her father's company after her father is dying with an incurable disease. Damien and Caitlyn grew up very different. Damien from a loveless home, expectations from a father who was a cutthroat workaholic and a mom who was more worried about her reputation than being a mother.

D and C have always had the simmering chemistry. It has been cooking for years, and they're at a conference away from the pressures of work. They have one night and he knows there is something more.

As much as they fight it, they know, something is there. Will their rivalry hurt their chances of being happily together? I love a good enemies to romance story, and this was easy, quick read that had me flipping to finish till the end.

Caitlyn didn’t believe in mistakes. She held the reins of a booming business corporation-Brooks Corporation. She made decisions that impacted hundreds of jobs and millions of dollars. “Regret” was not a word in her vocabulary. She was now hit in a broom closet to try to avoid him. Caitlyn had come to this conference to recharge, get reinspired. She was meant to return to her company with new plans to trounce the competition. Clearly, she hadn’t been the only one with the idea. Why did that man have to be here, the man she could never beat- Damien Reid. For the past couple of years she had been chasing after Damien. Why did the one CEO she couldn’t beat be here. He was always one step ahead of her. One contract out of reach. One miracle break through pushed to market before she could counter. No matter what she did Caitlyn could never win against him. The man always knew it to. Than Damien stole her head of research to his company. Caitlyn than stole his accounting director, but they both knew his loss hadn’t been the same as hers. With all his billions and charm , Damien could afford to run circles around her, while she hung on by her fingertips. Than she heard a knock at the closet door and Damien asked here how long it would be before she came out. As always the sight of him made her breath hitch. Why did Damien have to be so attractive? Than she grabbed some spare hotel shampoo and told him she rather get it herself than bother someone to get it for her. . Damien told Caitlyn she didn’t know him as well as she thought she did. Caitlyn said she had known men like him all her life. Silver spooned charmers willing to rip apart livelihoods with a smile if it moved their stock price up a few points. Than Caitlyn found Damiens and her rooms were not only on the same floor but right across from each other. Damien thought stealing her head of research would slow her down , but Brooks was nipping at his heals and it was very annoying. Her company would never be as big or as powerful as his. Damiens company had been in existence for generations, Caitlin's father had started Brooks. Damien said they should call a truce while at the conference but Caitlyn said she wasn’t interested. Damien thought how Caitlyn was a problem since he planned on crushing Brooks Corporation. There had been a shift in Brooks since Caitlyn had taken it over three years ago. They’ve been gaining steam and damien needed to stop that. Damien than since Spencer who had been a friend since college when Damien had talked Spence out of some trouble. Spencer said they would have to make the most of this opportunity since it was rare they were in the same city at the same time. Spencer seen Caitlyn and asked who she was and wanted to meet her. Damien told Spencer she wasn’t one to mess with. Spencer said after he learned what company Caitlyn ran ‘ lucky he wasn’t in the drug world.” When hearing Caitlyn laugh at something Spencer said the urge for Damien to intervene was strong in him. Caitlyn started to relax as Spencer flirted with her. This she could do. Network, chat, make connections- it was all part of the job. Spencer mentioned Damien and he had met at college. Caitlyn was attracted to Damien and he was the last man she wanted to be attracted to. Than Caitlyn seen Shureen. They had met four years ago at a conference and Caitlyn had instantly liked her. Then they had kept in touch. They decided to go for drinks later. Caitlyn was determined to leave the conference with a way to make damien see her as his equal. Damien knew he would do whatever he had to do in order to ensure the survival of his company. As that was how he was raised, weaknesses had never been tolerated in his family. It was even less acceptable in his business. Damien offered to buy her out two times what he had offered in Boston, When Damien brushed Caitlyn’s waist excitement had surged through Caitlyn. She hadn’t felt that in a long time. Damien prevents Caitlyn from falling on her face when she tripped and talked her into having dinner with him.
I liked this book but it was fairly predictable. This was a quick, fun, easy read. I did like the plot nad pace. I read this in one day. I liked Caitlyn and Damien together and how they interacted. I chuckled at times while reading this. Caitlyn and Damien definitely had hot chemistry. I liked the characters and the twists and turns of this story and I recommend this book.

"Catching the CEO" by Victoria Davies.

I haven't read previous books in the series but still enjoyed this one.

4 stars.
A good quick and fun read about 2 rival CEO's who run into each other... and it won't be just about business... Attraction, lust, chemistry... it's all there.
An enjoyable story.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC of this book. This is my honest review. All opinions are my own.

4.5 Stars!

Catching The CEO by Victoria Davies is an entertaining novel. This is the fourth book I have read by Ms. Davies, and I will continue to seek out her new offerings. If you are looking for a standalone romance with a well-defined couple, a corporate setting, and sexy love scenes, then this romance is for you.

Caitlyn Brooks and Damien Reid are both CEOs of pharmaceutical companies. They are rivals and fierce competitors in the industry. When they end up attending the same out of town conference, the years of smoldering chemistry between them develops into an amazing night of passion. It is impossible for them to stay away from each other once they return to their hectic lives in Boston, so they evolve their one night stand into much more. An unscrupulous move by Damien's selfish mother almost ends their relationship and Caitlyn's company, however, their love is able to withstand it all.

This is a well-written book, and Caitlyn and Damien are complex, interesting and fun. Their professional competitiveness is quite absorbing and their love for each other is replete with longing. If you enjoy a story with a lot energy and passion, then this novel is for you.
