Excellent book! Strong characters and a very disturbing story. This psychological thriller is definitely going to keep you in a hurry to find out what will happen next. There were twists and turns that kept me on my toes, and an ending that I think was superb.
This was totally awesome! Readers that love Caroline Keepnes will love this book! New favorite author!
After leaving her marriage to jealous, possessive oncologist Maxwell, Lily and her six-year-old son have a second chance at happiness with teacher Sebastian. Kind but vulnerable, Sebastian is the polar opposite of Maxwell, and the perfect match for Lily. After a whirlwind romance, they marry, and that’s when things start to go wrong. Maxwell returns to the scene, determined to win back his family, and events soon spiral out of control. Lily and Sebastian find themselves not only fighting for their relationship, but also their lives.
I love a good domestic thriller, especially about husbands and wives, and this one did not disappoint! It was a fast read and I really liked the unreliable narrator. The ending wasn't my favorite but the book was a good one overall.

This book is engaging, absorbing and crisp. The author manages to tell a gripping tale succinctly. I can’t appreciate enough how the author had managed to keep this book short yet delivers many twists without leaving gaping plot holes.
Do No Harm is a domestic noir and leads you down a dark twisted path. Having read many books in this genre, I had a good guess at what was going on. I had my suspicions early on and while they were not 100% correct they were fairly close. When I started reading the diary entires and messages initially I thought I knew who was writing them and who was being addressed, but there were many small details in there that threw me off and made me second guess myself. The plot truly makes you wonder and reconsider what you think you know of the human psyche.
As a reader it present you with a well rounded view of what is going on but you can clearly see that the couple of question do not have this benefit. Their life is unraveling and there is not much they can do about it. It goes on to show you how dangerous an obsession can become and how the lines of loyalty are blurred when someone gets obsessed. The multiple POVs makes you wonder what is going on and you begin to suspect every single character. You try and deduce who is trying to split this couple up and everyone is a suspect. The relationship almost seems doomed from get go and while you want the couple to make better choices you can completely understand why they don’t. It’s very realistic.
The book is unsettling and taut psychological thriller. The ending has a good twist but it made me sad. Highly recommend this fast paced, hard to put down, mess with your head thriller.

It appears I am again in the minority, I did Not live this one.
At just over 30% it was obvious who was orchestrating the multiple calamities. But worse yet, was enduring a Long monologue as to just how. Sorry, I believe a story should be shown not told.
From the book: "Who buys such far-fetched nonsense I have no idea"
I received an ARC from Netgalley and Orenda Books in exchange for my honest opinion.
I am giving this two stars because I did finish it. But the ending was so ludicrous I could have laughed out loud, Hard to believe any editor would have approved the last chapter. Absolutely ridiculous.
There are so many reviews for this book already, I don't know what I can add. I'll just say that this was pretty intense. Hay is certainly talented. This is not my normal genre, but this was well-executed. Recommended for lovers of thrillers.
A very controlling ex-husband, an ex-wife with a young son about to be remarried. And it starts there. This book was a fast read. I turned the pages with anticipation of what would happen next. Lots of twists and turns. I recommend this book.
I thought this book was superficial in some ways. I found that I really couldn't completely connect with Lily. She seemed detached from what was going on around her and just seemed to drink a lot with her friend all the time even though she was supposed to be supermom.. This made it hard to really understand why she was worth these men fighting over her and could not feel feel the suspense and the enormity of what was going on. I liked the level of suspense overall and really had it all wrong. Thanks for the ARC, Net Galley.
If you are in the mood for intensity and a roller coaster ride, then you must read this book. Just when you think you can breathe again the pacing of the author pushes the rug from under you. I love books that are suspenseful and thrilling. You will care about the characters and their plights.

Thank you, NetGalley and the Publisher for an advance copy of the book for a review. Reminded me somewhat of Sleeping With The Enemy. The spousal abuse and when you begin to feel safe, but things become so much worse. The book held my interest to the last page. No regrets from me on a good read.

Do No Harm is a jarring psychological thriller revolving around domestic abuse and the lengths that one will go to escape. L.V. Hay provides a tight plot supported by a cast of well-crafted characters. There is intrigue and an all-consuming thrill that paces the plot and pushes the reader to keep going up until the very last page. 4 stars.
In a story reminiscent of Sleeping with the Enemy, Hay tells the tale of Lily, who has found the courage to leave her controlling and frightening ex, brilliant oncologist Maxwell. Now, she believes she has a second chance at love with Sebastian, a kind and mild-mannered teacher, but you know there’s not going to be a happy ending for these characters. Maxwell re-enters the picture, determined to win his wife and child back at any price. A frightening story of what”love” will make someone do, and the cost of escaping the violence and terror that accompanies it
Absolutely my kind of book! This is a great thriller that sucked me in from the beginning and I read the novel in two sittings. When Lily gets remarried to Sebastian, her ex-husband, Maxwell--who was controlling in their marriage--seems determined to get between them and spend more time with his son, Denny. So when odd things begin happening (the house being trashed, electricity turned off), Lily and Sebastian fight back and attempt to prevent Max from ruining their lives. But all is not as it seems. Who else may be involved? And who would want to prevent this new marriage between Lily and Sebastian as they appear to be so much in love? Things escalate and the dominoes continue to fall. Nice big twist at the end may have you gasping. Now I will go back to read her first novel, The Other Twin!

This one was only soso. I spent much of the book wanting it to be better, fresher, more original, but no. Meh and skippable. 2.5
Do No Harm is a dark piece of domestic noir that will keep even the most astute of readers guessing right through to the end. With a focused and well crafted plot, a relatively small cast of characters and a straight forward style, the book is a fast read that kept the pages turning.
As the story opens. Lily and Sebastian are about to be married. Though they have only known each other a matter of months, they appear to be the perfect couple. With Lily’s young son Dennis, the product of a previous marriage, the little family is embracing what they hope will be a happy life together. Soon after the couple returns from their honeymoon, however, a number of events occur that shake them both to the core and threaten their relationship. Who is responsible is anyone’s guess. Lily’s best friend Triss is a shade too clingy, Sebastian’s mother, Fran, is painted as over protective, and Lily’s ex husband Maxwell is a sadistic ego maniac. All have seemingly ample opportunity and motive to disrupt the newly wedded bliss, and as the story unfolds, so grows the suspense. When the truth is finally revealed, no one is left unscathed.
The novel presents chapters told in first person (some from the perspective of Lily and others as told by the anonymous person behind the chaos), as well as chapters written in third person (limited) from the perspective of Sebastian. In the hands of a less capable author, this structure could have devolved into a tangled mess. Writer L.V. Hay, though, handles it beautifully, consistently staying true to the voice of the character speaking. The result is an easy to follow plot unencumbered by the weight of superfluous details.
As I was reading, I appreciated the singular storyline, but I always felt as if I was looking through a lens that was just a tad blurred. Everything seemed a hair off center, somehow, a tick away from being fully realistic. The fast pace did, though, keep me from dwelling on the uneasy feeling and carried me through to the finish.
Overall, this was a one-sitting read that is sure to appeal to fans of the genre. Thanks to NetGalley and Trafalgar Square Publishing for allowing me access to an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
