Quick read that will take your mind off the real world for a little while.

This writing duo promises a quick and dirty read with a happily ever after, and that's what I got in Bought For Love. This novella is really well balanced, with just enough passion, character development and story. The business proposition, fake marriage to love scenario is entertaining. The author's provided humor in their dialogue as well as passionate encounters, which made Bought For Love a worthwhile read. I will look for more from "Fiona Davenport"

Another good story by Ms. Davenport. I loved the first book in the series and this one is just as good. Miles and Emma are such a perfect couple. Look forward to reading more.

Fun, entertaining story with some drama and great chemistry. I really liked the characters as well as the story. A good read.

Bought For Love by Fiona Davenport is a quick, sexy and extremely steamy read. Miles Deveraux is ready to settle down, get married and start a family, but no matter how much money you have, it cannot buy everything. Bought For Love is a very quick read, an insta-lust/love story with characters that have a lot of chemistry. Things move quickly but flow nicely. A great read to escape for a bit.

What a great short story , had all the excitement of a longer novel , I’ve never read anything from this author but I will definitely look for some of her other novels......couldn’t put this down once I started it

Really enjoyed the first book in this series. This one was great to. Must read for me. I'm a fan. Was hooked from page one.

I really enjoyed this book and Miles was a perfect alpha male and Emma was his match.

Emma is living in New York against her parents wishes, she is from a small town in north Dakota and they would love nothing more for her to give up her dreams and move home. Things are not going well and its looking like she will soon be one of the homeless that is until Miles walks in to the little diner and her world changes the very next day when she is approached by a matchmaking service and when she finds out that Miles is the man wanting to marry her she says yes without reservation but not everyone is happy at their union and Miles has some explaining to do if he wants this marriage to last the distance….

Miles is a billionaire with a secret, one that could ruin any relationship and has done previously but once he sees Emma he knows that she is the one woman made for him and sets about getting her in his life permanently. He is marrying the woman of his dreams and finally starting the family that he has always wanted but will Emma still feel the same about him once she knows his darkest secret?

Ok, who does not love a Fiona Davenport ? OMG Bough For Love is a great read. Ya'll Fiona knows what she's doing. I absolutely loved this book.

This short novella can be read in a couple of hours. Miles is a billionaire who wants a wife and family. Right after visiting a matchmaker, he meets Emma when stopping at a diner for a quick lunch. The sparks fly, so he decides to ask his matchmaker to match him with Emma. They marry a week later.unbeknownst to Emma, Miles has a criminal background. He worries that this history will damage his marriage to his now pregnant wife. Fortunately, their relationship is strong enough to withstand the truth when it comes out. This story is very short, so there is very little time for character or story development, but this is an enjoyable read for someone looking for a very quick read.

The vast majority of the books I've reviewed on NetGalley have been excellent (4 stars or better). Unfortunately. Bought for Love by Fiona Davenport is one of the few that just didn't do it for me. The dialogue and storyline seemed juvenile and the characters weren't developed.

After listening to Rochelle Paige's (half of the Fiona Davenport duo) work all week on Read Me Romance and realizing I had this on my Kindle, I gobbled Bought For Love up rather quickly and was not disappointed. It's a fun, sweet, sexy, and fast paced read, featuring one of my favorite tropes (arranged marriage) and a male lead that is dead set on finding love and creating the family he never had. In fact, that was my favorite aspect of the book: I loved how singleminded he was in claiming Emma AND that once he had her, he was determined not only to keep her, but to make her happy. He was so supportive and demonstrative and reassuring. He genuinely wanted her to fall in love with him like he did with her. I really enjoyed Bought For Love and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series and I'll go back and read the first one as well (especially since we got a sneak peek at the couple in this book). 3 out of 5 wine glasses.

I give this book 5 stars. The storyline between Miles and Emma was well written and a great must read book. I whole heartedly recommend this book. Emma needs money and Miles needs a wife. The book has a HEA ending. I voluntarily reviewed this Advanced Readers Copy of this book.

I found this book while poking around on NetGalley and was delighted to receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review. And, honestly, as the 3 stars indicate, I liked it.

The reason I was drawn to this book was the burb. The idea of a contemporary marriage of convenience is simply intriguing. How would that work exactly in present-day NYC? Well, it turns out, pretty well. Especially when you have a professional matchmaker, a hero ready for love, and a heroine backed into a financial corner.

In general, the story is very sweet and cute - a modern Cinderella with an uber-caveman Alpha prince. But, I had to take off one star because of the constant issue of show vs tell. The author summarized. A lot of the sweet moments happened off the page. For example, we didn't get to see them growing closer on their honeymoon - we were told about it. I understand that it is probably due to the length restriction - this is a very fast read - but, it would have been nice.

The other reason I took off a star is that I never really felt like I understood Miles. Why was he so ready to settle down and have babies? What was it besides the physical attraction that had him choosing Emma? And, did he really love her as a person, or just as a possession and a symbol of the family he never had. I didn't quite believe him and kept waiting for Emma to walk in on him balls deep with Eva. Which, is ridiculous, I know, but...

Overall, this was a fun, quick read with several steamy sex scenes. It has a fun premise - that worked - and made for a pleasant way to spend a rainy evening curled up reading.

BOUGHT FOR LOVE by Fiona Davenport is the story of Emma James and Miles Deveraux.
Miles was at a point in his life that he should be married but he didn't like the women he was meeting. Miles thought to do a matchmaker but he thinks he found the one he wants. Emma is a small town girl that just moved to a bigger city and things aren't going well when she is giving Mile's deal. But a deal quickly turns to more.
Really enjoyed their quick story.

Very cute, and super sexy, novella about a billionaire and the waitress he fell in love with. This one is steamy. Miles falls for Emma super quick and it doesn't take her long to follow. Insta-love and insta-lust between these two and good chemistry makes this a fun, hot read.

This was 100% safe, had a ton of smexy times sprinkled throughout and had two likable Mcs. The plot is a bit over the top and the romance was light years speed instant but overall a good read to while away a couple of hours.

I wanted to love it but I think I needed a little more development between the MCs to get there. For a safe (no cheating) quicky read this would be a contender. I read it in one sitting. It was cute but you have to suspend your disbelief a few times to really enjoy it.

Emma moved to New York against her parents wishes, the gold her she didn't have what it took to make it on her on.Miles is a billionaire who wants a wife and goes to a match making. Only he finds the woman of his dreams. He is so attentive and wonderful husband. Will she stay with him if she learns about his past?
