This was a fantastic second chance romance. I loved how Aubrey and Cole were able to move past her reasons for leaving 10 years ago and reconnect again. This was a great book because there was very little drama and angst.
Aubrey had a health scare and it made her take another look at her life and to figure out if she was truly happy or going through the motions of life. She left her small hometown in Oklahoma 10 years ago to follow her dreams of being a movie director. She also left her heart with her now ex-fiancé.
Cole tried to move on with his life but when Aubrey left, she broke his heart. He never got over her or the heartbreak. Now she’s back in town and he is afraid to open his heart again because her life is in Hollywood, not Oklahoma.
Can these two find their way back to one another or will the choices they made years ago continue to keep them apart? One-click this amazing book now and find out.
Love, Again by L.P. Dover is a good fit for readers who enjoy heartwarming second-chance romance stories set in small-town settings, where characters reconnect and find love in the place they least expect.
I'm used to reading hot and heavy second chance romance. And don't get me wrong this one is all that but it has the sweet factor that had me loving the MC's so much.
Cole and Aubrey spent 10years apart but that helped them to grow and discover that the only place that brings them happiness is in each others arms. This story was full of funny banter, a little bit of a heartbreak and a whole lot of love that will make you believe that second chances really do exist.

I really wanted to enjoy this one, but I struggled to get into Love, Again. And slow-burn romances haven't really been working for me. This was definitely it was me, not you kind of read.
I loved the characters and the storyline development of this book. It was absolutely one of my favorites so far and I can't wait to delve in to the next one that this author writes. The storyline was simple, enjoyable, and entertaining.
This is a slow burn second chances story... Even tho Aubrey was dealing with shocking news I found it hard to stay in engaged. It wasn't until halfway I really got into it. Love Emilie and Bennett... Cole was awesome too. Slow beginning, good middle, great end.
I enjoyed this book and gave it a three out of five stars. A wonderful rekindling romance story and It’s importantance to learn how to forgive and repairing relationships.
I loved this book so much as soon as I was able to I purchased the paperback. I loved Aubrey. She reminded me so much of myself. And Cole was the PERFECT book boyfriend. Second chance romances never use to be my favorite but this one made the cut.
A wonderful rekindling romance story. It’s important to learn how to forgive and repair relationships and this book navigates that with ease. Well done and lovely read.
A very sweet second chance story...a little too simple in places as I"d have liked a little more drama/angst to grow the characters, but the beginning is gripping and the characters have a good depth and make a great story.
I loved this book! Aubrey and Cole's chemistry was off the charts! What a fun and swoon worthy book! I was hooked from the first page to the very last!
I am not sure what it was about this title, but I was never really able to feel invested in it.
Aubrey and Cole were together 10 years ago and, after an upsetting mistake that lets her think she has weeks to live (this is in the blurb) she decides that it is time to make amends, to right some wrongs of her past, and to go back and get the man she loves.
But, for me, the pacing of this was off. The beginning was quick, which was fine. But, even though this was an insta-love, it seemed like both of them were willing to ignore the hurt, and the reasons that they split, and move into an instant relationship.
I wanted more. I wanted to see them work it out, and to see them resolve their anger at one another...but it essentially just fell away at first sight, and, well, that made the rest of the story difficult for me to engage with.
While I did finish the book, I wanted more depth and thought the focus on the bucket list pulled away from the central story.
Beautiful second chance romance from L.P. Dover!! This is where she soars I think, or maybe it's because I fell in love with her Second Chances series long ago. Regardless this second chance for Aubrey and Cole just hit all the marks for me. Definitely one you don't wanna miss!
Loved Aubrey and Cole as a couple in this book. They seemed really good for eachother and Cole was sweet throughout the whole book. Audrey comes back to her hometown after becoming very successful. Her and Cole immediately have great chemistry. I did find it a bit unrealistic that everyone just accepted that she came back and didn't give her a hard time for it. Other than that, this was a great romance read!
I thought this story was incredibly sweet. Girl leaves hometown (and fiance) in the dust to pursue her dreams, becomes incredibly successful, returns to hometown to right her wrongs. I enjoyed the chemistry between Aubrey and Cole, and both characters were very likable. I was a bit shocked that the secondary characters in the hometown all just accepted her back into their lives considering the hurt she caused by leaving Cole behind a decade ago. I thought they'd giver her a bit more grief about that, or at least tell Cole not to jump back into things so quickly... Either way, I appreciated the communication between Aubrey and Cole. Too often in stories issues can be resolved with just one honest conversation, which almost never happens until the end of the story in order to ramp up the drama. From a plot-building perspective, I totally understand this -- but it's incredibly frustrating, nevertheless. I liked how Aubrey and Cole hashed out what happened and how they felt quickly and with little drama so that we could enjoy an adorable love story instead of pages of miscommunication and angst. My only other complaint is that I would've liked to see more of the secondary love story that takes place "off screen". Regardless, I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a short, sweet, relatively angst-free story about true love's resilience.
This story was written as a dual first person narrative. The characters are described directly and the main conflict is internal as each character battles their own wants and needs. The major themes in place are love, death, survival and prejudice.
Aubrey Reynoalds was a small town girl who made it big in Hollywood as a director. She is our protagonist for this particular story. Even though most would think she is living the dream life, she is missing some key elements love and family. When a phone call from her doctor’s office changes everything, it has her re-evaluating things that she thought she had longed moved on from. Cole Haywood has been all about keeping it together, especially after being stood up before his wedding to the love of his life. Now that he is on his way to becoming the fire chief of his small town, she strolls on in and starts to stir up all of these old feelings that has him wondering, did he ever really get over her. Aubrey sets out to complete things on her bucket list after receiving news that could have been devastating instead it has her making choices that she has seemed to put off in order for success of her career. It has encouraged her to return to her small town and see if maybe the love of her life, will be willing to give her a second chance or at least get closure on their relationship. She quickly discovers that things haven’t changed in the years that she has been away, everyone is still open, understanding and willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, including Cole and his family. She has discovered that time can help heal old wounds but enough to give off a second chance.
The flow is organized and logical as the ideas are interesting and important to the story line. The voices are individualized and tailored to which character we are viewing the story through. The word choice and sentence structure help to enhance the story and make it come to life. Yes, I would recommend this book. This is definitely a read for anyone looking for a strong female lead and a story of forgiveness and second chances. This would not be good for those who again spur of the moment decisions, dislike people being left shortly before a wedding or are looking for a weak female lead.
A health scare changed Aubrey’s life forever. Living with a ton of regrets she made a bucket list and sought out the man that held her heart. Is she ready to finally move on or accept the happiness that has been missing for nearly a decade? A second chance romance that will consume you.
Love, Again is a sweet, second chance romance.
Aubrey and Cole are childhood best friends and sweethearts who broke up when Aubrey went to follow her dreams in Hollywood. Ten years later she returns after a mixup with medical test results to ask for forgiveness.
What follows is their sweet, relatively uncomplicated journey back to true love.
While there was a little drama in the beginning, for the most part this book is an easy ride, and an easy read. Sometimes love isn't about over the top drama or big revelations it is as simple as finding the right person.
. Cole & Aubrey’s story will definitely give you all the feels. Cole will definitely become your next book boyfriend. I loved every word in this story and the characters were amazing. Another amazing read that will have you hooked from page one.
I truly enjoy L.P. Dover's emotional, sexy love stories, but this one is not my favorite. It moved a little slow for me.
