Even though this one felt a little trite and overly materialistic at times, it was a funny and entertaining read and hit the spot during the busy summer season!

I was not expecting to like this so much. I loved Allegra and her co-workers (Tripp was my favorite!)
I especially loved that Allegra kept a positive attitude throughout the book no matter what was being thrown at her.
I recommend this book for someone who is looking for an easy read that is also sprinkled with some wise life lessons.

A solid contemporary about the finance world, following your dreams, and how easily life (and yourself) can implode when you're spread too thin. Contrary to the marketing copy, I'd say that a lot of the humor felt forced here, though there were some good, satisfying points. Overall a bit repetitive, and it definitely had that "debut" feel.

This story had me hooked and laughing out loud from page 1! The characters were relatable, and I couldn't help but fall in love with Allegra. Thank you to Atria Books for my gifted e-copy! I was late to the party on this one, but I'm definitely a fan!

I was excited for this one with it being compared to The Devil Wears Prada and while there were some similarities, this was an enjoyable story on its own. I did find that the plot got a little repetitive and slow at times, but overall this was a fun read with downright humorous moments! Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC!

Allegra wants to quit her high-paying job to be a yoga teacher, but of course, there are plenty of obstacles in the way.
Breathe In, Cash Out is an easy read, but not necessarily a great one. It took me a long time to get past the first few pages, but when given no other options for a book, I picked it up again, and this time I read the whole thing.
As an ex NYer who has friends in the same kind of business as Allegra, it was interesting, but in the end, I feel like this book is okay, not great.
One of my biggest issues is how Allegra has to be in a relationship at the end, and how she chooses someone she never seemed into just because he said he wanted to ask her out. I didn't see that coming at all and it didn't make much sense.

I read this in 2 days! I couldn't put it down. Madeline Henry had me laughing hysterically and completely shocked throughout the book. There was a major unexpected twist that I still can't get over and definitely think there could be a sequel to this book just to find out what happens with Allegra and Tripp, how does yoga end up working out, does Allegra fully recover from her injuries? Does she see Skylar around? Lots of questions left unanswered.

Cute story but felt a bit predictable. Definitely had me laughing though and I would recommend it to friends looking for a light beach read.

What a fun book! You can tell just by looking at the cover!
Well, I have to start by stating i did not know that there were yoga championships, I thought it was something one did to help relax.
This is go to genre for me- romcoms. This book was a quick and lovely read!

A Goldman Sachs banker turned yogi... so much potential there. I liked the writing style, but it wasn't very funny as I expected it to be. My hopes were higher.

I am sorry for not reviewing fully but I don’t have the time to read this at the moment. I believe that it wouldn't benefit you as a publisher or your book if I only skimmed it and wrote a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for not fully reviewing!

Breathe In, Cash Out was laugh out loud funny. The characters are so wonderful you could read this in a day. I was stressed just reading about her hectic life and job! Glad to see the strong female friendships. The book also made me want to take up yoga. Thanks for a great read and I look forward to more from Madeleine Henry.

Wall Street banking analyst Allegra Cobb plans to quit the minute her year-end bonus hits her account, finally pursuing her yoga career full-time. But when she forms an intense relationship with the #InstaFamous guru who may hold the ticket to the life Allegra's always wanted—she's not sure if she'll be able to keep her sanity intact (and her chakras aligned) until bonus day.
I enjoyed this book. It was a quick and fun read. At times I got annoyed with Allegra and how she acts and treats people. She was way to quick to jump on the bandwagon of her #instafamous yoga guru. Is everything to good to be true?

Since I am into yoga I found Madeleine's story to be fun and a quick read. I could relate to the story and think yoga instructors and yoga enthusiasts will enjoy this book.

This novel is about a young woman named Allegra who is working as an investment banker at a top NYC investment bank, but dreaming of becoming a yoga instructor once she gets her bonus. One of the blurbs for the book calls it “The Devil Wears Prada meets Wall Street” and that’s probably about right. It is written in a very light, chick lit kind of tone, but everything in Allegra’s life is so stressful and unpleasant that it kind of made me feel stressed out while reading it.

This book seemed so superficial. All about money and elite lifestyles and yoga and cutthroat jobs. I just couldn’t get into it.

A fun entertaining read! Breathe In, Cash Out feels a little bit like a great reality TV show on Bravo. If you are looking for a quick, engaging read check this one out.

Allegra Cobb’s resume: Straight-A Princeton grad, second-year analyst at a top-tier bank, one-time American Yoga National Competition Champion. Allegra Cobb’s reality: Spends twenty-four hours a day changing the colors on bar charts, overusing the word “team,” and daydreaming about quitting the minute her year-end bonus hits her account. She has no interest in the cutthroat banking world—she’s going to launch her very own yoga practice.
But her plan isn’t quite as perfect as the beachfront yoga pictures she double-taps on Instagram. On top of the 100 emails an hour and coworkers already suspicious of her escape plan, Allegra's hard-driving single father has always expected fiercely high achievement above all else. That his daughter works on Wall Street means everything to him. Still, she marches on, taking it day by extremely caffeinated day.
But after (1) unknowingly sleeping with the man now leading her banking cohort on one of their biggest deals to date and (2) meeting the #blessed yoga guru who might just be her ticket to the life she’s always wanted, it really hits her: her happy-ever-after will be harder to manifest than she thought.
Fast-paced, laugh-out-loud funny, and totally irresistible, this is the story of a fearless young woman determined to center herself in the life she truly wants.

Cute story. Loved all the detail about her investment banking job. And of course I love to read about yoga!
Allegra Cobb works for a top-tier investment banking firm, but she secretly harbors a desire to quit and teach yoga. That dream is furthered when Allegra meets Skylar, her Instagram yoga idol. Skylar takes her under her wing, but soon it becomes clear that Skylar isn't as wonderful as she seems.
The book goes into great detail about Allegra's job at Anderson Shaw, because Allegra--like the banking employees I once knew--spends nearly every waking hour there. Her office-mates, especially her pal Tripp, are rendered true-to-life.
I enjoyed this book immensely. As the author of my own yoga novels and as the moderator of the Goodreads Yoga Folks group, I have read many (many, many) women's novels featuring yoga. Some even feature the same overall plot--that the protagonist thinks her dream of yoga is going to save her from her life--but this is one of the best of the genre. Madeleine Henry has written a fun and yet meaningful book. I was sorry to see it end.
(I selected this book as a group read for the Goodreads Yoga Folks group for summer 2020)

Thank you to the publisher for the gifted copy - this book was cute and funny. Everything I like in a summer read that I can get lost in. Easy to like, realistic characters who grow during the time that I read it. Allegra is the perfect reflection of first world problems. A great look at the finance world and what you'll need to do with your dreams deferred.

Breathe In, Cash Out is a fun, if predictable, read. The story of Allegra, who works in finance but really would prefer teaching yoga, meanders along a well worn path of self awakening, It's a quick read and entertaining, but didn't provide any earth shattering insights for me. This would be a great book to read at the pool or the beach.
