This book gave off major Hallmark vibes. If Hallmark movies are your thing, this book is for you! Super cute story.
This adorable book of enemies turned lovers is a must read. Elena, a hopelessly believer of romance, is upset with Lucas, her ex-fiancé groom’s man, for whom she thought was the reason why her fiancé backed away from their wedding day. He wanted to get partnership at his firm and she wanted her fiancé back by working for Lucas; thus, she was compelled to agree on a contract and work together with him. Sparks flew and feelings developed while trying to finish their project together.
It is almost similar to one of those “Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan” movies. Heart-warming, non-stop bantering and toes curling discussions have made this book easy to read and page-turner. I actually enjoyed this cute short novel!
Thank you Entangled Books for this #ebook in exchange for my honest review.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own,
I did not read the previous two books in the series, but this is definitely a stand alone. This was a cute, fun and flirty enemies to lovers novel. The outcome was easy to guess, but getting there was a very delightful fast read.
A LIGHT AND FLUFFY READ! I really love the cover, and the storyline so good, I was looking forward to read this book.
Romancing His Rival is the third instalment of the Accidentally Yours series by Jennifer Shirk (You can read it as a STANDALONE which is what I did):
* Bargaining with the Boss
* Catch Him If You Can
* Romancing His Rival
Hopeless romantic Elena Mason doesn’t often hate people, but she hates her ex-fiancé’s insufferable best man, Lucas Albright III. She just knows Lucas is the one who talked her ex out of getting married—so Lucas is clearly the cause of all her problems.
Though the storyline isn’t anything special, I do love the characters. Lucas is more then his job, I little jaded after his divorce and extremely vocal on his thoughts of marriage (which leads to Elena being ditched before her wedding) to Elena still trying to find the love her parents had in a strict timeline adding pressure to a relationship by forcing it. Forced to work together the pair realise what they’re both missing is each other, both willing to risk it all for love.
Well written, entertaining and an easy read.

Love the pretty pink cover, enemies to lovers, and first by this author!
What did I like? Super fun read. Lucas needs Elena for a project he’s working on but she only agree’s so he’ll help her get her ex back! Clean romance with very little angst and a pleasure to read.
Would I recommend or buy? I enjoyed Lucas and the situation he gets himself stuck in. Elena doesn’t realize when the lines between love and hate begin to blur but a great HEA! I’d love to read more by this author. Four stars!
This was okay. The writing flowed well, but I wasn't a fan of the heroine for pretty much the whole book. Elena was whiny, and fixated on having a wedding that her fiancé had called off months prior. It irritated me that she wanted him back. If my fiancé tells me that he doesn't think I'm good enough for him, then good riddance. She was horrible to Lucas too, and I'm not sure what he saw in her. This book is more like a Hallmark movie with the steam level, and I like my books with more heat. Although this wasn't a favorite of mine, I would read something else from this author.

If you enjoy Hallmark movies than you’ll enjoy this book! With the fun Christmas setting, likable characters, fun plot and a swoony romance, it’s hard not to get caught up in this story. I thought this was well written and liked that the romance grew naturally and at a good pace. Neither was looking for love and I liked that they had to figure things out and wasn’t an insta-love connection. Fun read and I loved returning to this fun series and seeing past characters make an appearance as well.
They say the closest feeling to hatred is love and that's just how it seems for Elena. She's in love with love and all things sentimental, especially because her parents had such a fairy tale romance. She wants her happily-every-after to pattern exactly after theirs and when her fiance breaks up with her, she blames his best friend, Lucas. In fact, she hates him, and we all know what that means.
Elena is quite uptight about her ideals and rigid with her rules, yet as the story progresses, she does become more likable. Of course, Lucas is her opposite. His intentional teasing, easy going manner, and blatant flirting make him a delicious character.
I loved the ebb and flow of this story. The romance was sweet and put a smile on my face, but my favorite thing was watching the rose colored glasses come off of these characters. They each had dreams and expectations, but life experiences revealed reality, which was so perfect.
Content: mild romance (kissing); mild-moderate language
Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for this earc.
I really liked the ending that's a good thing for start but as far as I am concerned I couldn't get around liking the whole story much , I would have loved if I did coz it sounded interested.
I do acknowledge that I loved to read the interactions b/w main characters but at the same time something was off that unattractiveness.
I think there are some good things too that I liked , the small morals along the line I really appreciate them but it didn't touch my heart. Some of the decisions seem like they had to be taken for story to look good but I don't see how.
I mean the story was good but It could have been better in my opinion it had potential just I think the writing didn't appeal to me but one can enjoy it nevertheless it has cute moments I appreciate, good quality morals one gets around , good friends, a nice time to pass your day.
Elena and Lucas's story is a clean, cute read. It gives the reader a satisfying ending, Readers looking for a sweet heroine will enjoy this story.
Romancing His Rival is a fun, sweet romance novel. I enjoyed it.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
Romancing His Rival is a well written romance. Good plot and well developed characters. I recommend to fans of romance reads.
This felt very apropos of a 90s romcom? Which I liked. I imagine this making an excellent Hallmark movie.
I absolutely loved this book! I have read all 3 books in this series. This one was my favorite. When a story grabs you and you can't put the book down until you are finished is a definite keeper! Jennifer Shirk has quickly become one of my favorite authors.

Romancing His Rival by Jennifer Shirk that is a sweet and spicy romantic comedy. Those who like sweet and fluffy romance should try this one.
I really enjoyed this book. My only issue was that the main character was way too hung up on and obsessed with her ex. It helped to push the story but it just bothered me every time she brought him up.
But overall, I still really enjoyed the romance, either way.
This was a story with humour, great banter, fun and lovable characters with a whole lot of heart, your typical classy Jennifer Shirk read. I absolutely love how authors books make me feel. I start reading and lose track of everything. Funny, sexy and enjoyable. One of the best books of 2019 so far. Highly recommend

I do love a good 'enemies to lovers' kind of storyline - even if or maybe especially if the whole 'enemies' side of things is one sided a la Mr Darcy and Elizabeth. So, to cut a long story short, I loved this story. As soon as they entered the ski lodge together, I knew that I was hooked. In fact, I finished this entire novel in one sitting - that's just how hooked I was on it. And let's face it, Elena and Lucas just work. Especially when you factor in how crappily she was being treated by Scott the jerk. There were a couple of moments, where I just wanted to shake Elena and be like 'girl, he's not right for you, he's just a douche GET OVER HIM' -but to be fair, I think that's just how many people are in relationships that feel 'secure'. Humans are weird man, and hindsight/looking from the outside is always 2020. Lucas was sweet, funny and clearly smart, and I think a great match for Elena so it was really lovely seeing their relationship grow, and each of them change and mature together. Overall a sweet romance story with character growth on both sides (which I loved).
