Katy Connor is a new to me author and she can write some hot romances.
This is a short and steamy doctor romance. Alex and Jen had insta chemistry which led to a hot weekend together that changed both of their lives. There is no denying the attraction between Alex and Jen, even after years and years it didn’t seem to change. Of course, there had to be a little drama in the story to mess with the characters.
If you are looking for a sexy, hot doctor romance then this is one for you. It was a pretty quick read and can easily be done in one sitting.

Medical student Alex Petrinov had always liked fellow medical student Jenny Price, but never asked her out they were ready to graduate because he was afraid she would turn him down. Jenny knew Alex because he stood out among other medical students so she agreed to a date but everything changed when they finally opened up the letters telling them where they would be going for their residencies. Slight problem, Jenny’s residency started right after they finished medical school so instead trying to date long distance, she ghosted him. Jenny and Alex reconnected when they both headed up programs at a teaching hospital in Colorado.
Dr. Holy Hotness has instant attraction between Jenny and Alex but it never went further because of timing. Katy Connor has written a very good story where they reunited but not without some glitches because both Jenny and Alex have to finally talk to each other.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Simple, hot, quick read. Alex and Jenny are a bit of a quirky mix. She is clumsy and says whatever she feels. He is hot and has everyone drooling all over him. One thing they have is an attraction for each other that has survived distance and years apart. The story is fun to read and even will manage to surprise you.

Disclaimer! Thanks to the author and the publisher for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review and it is an honour to read this beautifully written story. This does not affect my opinions in any way.
Description: The minute I laid eyes on Jenny Price in medical school she was mine — One look and she belonged to me. I had one chance to make her mine, but she ran away. Now I’m the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery and not much phases me. That is until I walk into a room and see her. Dr. Jenny Price right there in front of me. She’s even more beautiful than she was years ago, and her scent makes me want her body to be my next vacation. Too bad she’s intent on picking a fight with me every other day. But when she barges into my office and brushes those soft curves against me, that’s when all the arguing turns into something else. And now that we’ve both gotten a taste, I don’t know if either of us can stop.
My opinion: Katy Connor is a new-to-me author, but I've had the pleasure to read this. I enjoyed this book! I really liked the two main characters and loved the detail that you meet them when they first meet at Harvard then we fast forward to 10 years later. The two main characters POV was delivered really well and it had a satisfying ending.
Hot and steamy, well written, a good attraction between the two. I love the flirting. I love how she's clumsy and says whatever comes to mind and how he's there to catch her if she falls, how he's there to make her feel good... Just perfect!
If you’re looking for a story that’s very light and fluffy with more than enough steam, this is for you.

This was an engaging, second chance romance. That had heat, likable characters and a pretty much insta-love connection going on. However, it was just far too quick of a story and for me the plot wasn't there, especially in the second half when Alex and Jenny reunited. Yet there was plenty of potential and I could of really enjoyed this story had it just been longer.

If you’re looking for a novella that’s very light and fluffy with more than enough steam, this is for you. That being said, it was way too graphic for me.

Lack of character development and I found this one to be boring.
Maybe someone will enjoy this book but it just wasn't for me.

The book begins with Alex and Jen finishing med school, before venturing into the fast lane into a would be could be relationship, before falling into bed.
This is a great book as a novella, short a and fast read. I personally would have liked a little more chatacter building as it felt a little more surface level, and it was hard to develop a connection with the characters. I enjoyed the thrill of finding new love, and how Alex was so quiet and intense but also he knows what he wants. I would recommend this for a fast read, but not if you are looking to fully understand and get involved with the characters.

I enjoyed this book!
I do agree with some previous reviewers in the fact that the story seemed kinda like a novella. Buy hey, I am okay with that. Sometimes I like a quick read story.
Alex has had a crush on Jenny since the first day he saw her in medical school. He finally asks her on a date on Match day. They spend a wonderful weekend together where they both fall in love. Too bad Jenny decides to leave him a Dear John letter. How could she ghost him?!?!? Not cool Jenny! Not cool!
10 years later guess who the new doctor is at the Hospital where Jenny works???
You guessed it - Alex.
This is my first book by this author.
This book read fine on its own.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it to friends and family.

Jenny Price was a shy nerdy medical student who kept her head down and worked through her studies. It’s only at the end of them that Alex dares to approach her, he’s wanted to do that for so long but has been afraid she wasn’t ready. They instantly connect and Alex begins to hope that Jenny is finally his. Jenny certainly runs hot and cold through this story which can be a bit irritating. Enjoyed Alex though. I was surprised that I enjoyed this book as much as I did. Jenny and Alex were in med school together. She worked hard and stayed on the narrow path to graduate to get into residency. Alex always admired her from afar and didn't approach her till Match Day. They have a connection and pretty much fall for each other. But, she didn't want the whole long distance relationship and didn't want distractions with everything she worked sooo hard for. Alex is devastated. Long years pass, they've never really gotten over each other, but they are in the same building, colleagues now.
Their story is a fast and intriguing read. I liked it alot and they were perfect for each other even when they were apart.

I couldn't do it, I lasted I think 40 pages. This was already a novella length book.. and yet she still rushed EVERYTHING. I repeat... everything. I didn't see this book as cute, I didn't once read about how they had such a connection that made the rate they went from first sentence to sex, seem "justified." It was all just ridiculous. I've been watching you for four years. oh, okay. let's do it. I wish I could have continued, I HATE not finishing a book. I tried, I pushed past obscene moment #1.. and then #2 and I thought eh.. maybe it'll still get better. They will have an actual conversation and some character build. And then, they didn't she just confesses she doesn't want to leave him, for the career she's been working for.. for years, after 3 days together. ITS 2019 YA'LL... You do who and want you want, you do you boo boo and be proud of it. But don't make a romance novelLA and not have quite literally any back bone behind it/her, other then she swooned over literally every word he said about him stalking her.

Light story and great for a quick read. Characters have decent chemistry and the author seems to have a detailed understanding of the medical world. I struggled with Alex's family history, but others may have seen it coming.

Was okayish. Not that great. No character development. I usually love stories set in hospitals - but this one was an exception.

Dr. Holy Hotness was a super quick light read. It was steamy and easy to get sucked into. I breezed through this in a matter of a couple hours or at least it felt like it.. I was sucked in pretty quickly. I think it was written well, organized well. I like the time span the book covered. I love a smart strong female character that this book had. I will definitely be on the look out for other Katy Connor books!

This is a wonderfully written romantic story about love, loyalty, steadfastness.
Alex and Jenny meet among the rigors of medical school. Who knows what the future holds for them despite having friends helping along the way. A feel-good book that’s loaded with enough drama to make it interesting. Delightful, easy, steamy read.

This is a wonderful story though it is novella sized and the first 40% of the story is told with what happens 10 years before. Then the actual story starts 10 years later and Jenny and Alex meet up at his new job in the hospital she works at. Both are doctors and both were in love ten years before. They have to decide if they can pick up their romance 10 years later.
I LOVED this story! It is defintely HOT!! It also is about two people who loved each other but had growing up to do and now have to see if they can make it work.

Watching Jenny from afar in college, Alex was already half in love with her. He finally asks her out on match day, the day they got their residency letters.
After spending the whole weekend together, Jenny writes him a letter and leaves.
10 years later, he has joined the same hospital as Jenny and the chemistry between them is still as hot as ever.
Dr Holy hotness is a hot, steamy, fast paced read. Alex and Jenny have intense chemistry, but beyond that there is not much in the story. It has all the makings of a 5 star read had it been a little more longer. I found the ending a little rushed.

Katy Connor is a new-to-me author, but I've heard about some of her other Doctor books, so I was delighted to find this while poking around on NetGalley looking for something to read. I was even more delighted to receive an ARC in exchange for an honest review. And, as the two stars indicate, it was OK.
As other reviewers have pointed out, it is a second chance at love story where the H/H meet ten years after their original relationship. That is all well and good and is a proven trope for a reason. It works - most of the time. In this book, though, it just didn't quite reach maximum potential.
For example - Alex fell for Jenny during Med School orientation but waited until Match Day - six weeks before graduation - to actually talk to her. He said he somehow knew she wasn't ready. Uh huh. Maybe she was constipated that day, dude. Maybe she has a serious case of RBF. Whatevs. When they do finally speak, they're finger banging in a restaurant within an hour and doing the horizontal mambo within another hour. It's Erotica, so that's fine. But, the part that gets me is that they're both ready to confess love and plan their lives together after three days of intense bedroom shenanigans - most of which happens off the page. Say what? Uh huh. The next phases of their medical careers will take them to opposite sides of the country, so I totally get why Jenny left him a beautifully written letter and went on about her life.
It's what happens once they are working at the same hospital that gets me and started costing this book stars. He comes across as SUPER angry. She comes off as SUPER immature. What does that mean for the readers? Lots of kinda hate sex, but also kinda mix signals sex. He's all about saying one thing but doing another. While she's too busy running and hiding and getting black-out drunk off two drinks. I can get behind the anger sex against a door, don't get me wrong, but the bar scene was just not right. To me, they were both acting entirely out of character (even considering the drinks).
Also, why did Jenny have to blurt out that she hadn't been with anyone since him? That got LOTS of side eye, especially since HE didn't say the same thing. He said he'd dated, but had HE been with anyone else? Did that question ever get answered? Because it honestly wasn't clear to me and I dropped it another half of a star.
The second half was because of his accident. I'm sorry, but that just came across as lazy writing. Have them talk it out. Have them date and break up again. Whatever, but they have to go through it TOGETHER. Otherwise, this is just him being in an emotionally broody space and waking up in that same space, but with her all "we'll be together forever, oh and we're pregnant" while he hasn't had the chance to get on the same emotional page.
But, the third star was lost because of his accident, recovery, and their oopsy pregnancy from having unprotected sex ONE TIME. Thanks, but no thanks. I read to escape my reality, including infertility, and I get that this is supposed to be an ideal fantasy situation, but that just doesn't work for me.
So, overall, I liked the premise. I liked the possibility of a second chance at love story set in a hospital between two medical professionals. I just wish they were a little more emotionally mature and that the story didn't have quite the same ending. And, for what it's worth, I am still very interested and curious to read some of the other books that this author has written.
