Tee O'Fallon hit another story out of the park. I rooted for both Nick and Andi to realize they were in love with each other. Both were morning prior relationships, and were not looking to start anything. Nick was investigating Andi friend for money laundering, and selling stolen guns on the black market. Nick was attempting to search the house for incriminating evidence, and finds Andi bathing Stray while wearing a very skimpy bikini in the shower. He keeps the other male officers away from the bathroom, but calls for a female officer to meet him, to assist Andi with getting dressed. Andi is the owner of a local dog park / and cafe. Her friend used her to wire transfer funds to an overseas account in Scotland without informing her of his actions - causing the police taskforce to view her as a suspect. Nick confiscated her cellphone to force her to cooperate in the investigation. He will work undercover at her business, while training Saxon (his police dog) in balancing on unsteady surfaces. It is during this forced time together that they start falling for each other. U don't want to give the story away, so read it to find out what happens next.
Andi Hardt loves what she does, finally, leaving the rat race business world after a huge violation of trust she started her own business. The Dog Park Café, a restaurant and dog park all in one and fills her days with joy. She is currently staying at her ex-boyfriends house while the pipes in her house are being fixed, while she is washing her stray dog in the shower early one morning her life is totally upended.
Sergeant Nick Houston is trying not to pay attention to the woman in the teeny tiny bikini in the shower washing her dog. All he wanted to do was serve a warrant and get illegal guns off the street. His K9 Saxon is standing guard right along side him as always and seems to be wondering what is going on as well. This woman and her dog are in shock, but for only a minute though then she starts throwing things at him. Can she really be a partner in all this illegal activity?
Andi and Nick have to work together to find out what exactly is going on with her ex and to clear her name. She agrees to have Nick work at the club as a bartender and shadow her every move to draw out Joe and get some answers. Neither of them counted on the attraction they share moving front and center. Will that attraction be enough to let them throw caution to the wind and be together?
I received an advance copy without expectation for review. Any and all opinions expressed are my own. My first read from this author with 4 ½ stars, it won’t be my last by any means.
An excellent romantic suspense! I loved this book from start to finish—as evidenced by the fact I read it in one-sitting. It was fast-paced, action-packed and deeply engaging, with characters who were flawed but likable and a storyline that kept me on the (metaphorical) edge-of my seat. Plus, DOGS. Gah, Stray and Saxon were scene-stealers in the best way.
I loved the first book in this series, and was thrilled to pick up the second to find it was just as good—better, in fact. It bodes well for the coming books, and I am already anticipating what’s to come—hopefully Eric, whose story was teased at here.
If you’re looking for realistic, heart-racing romance, then look no further than Tee O’Fallon. She writes with knowledge about law enforcement while never stagnating or ignoring all those wonderful elements that I adore about romance. I’m more than happy to recommend not just this book and series, but her previous series as well.
This is a fast-paced, suspenseful read. It pulls you in from the first page and keeps your attention until the last. The intriguing storyline keeps you on the edge of your seat and the adorable K-9's will win your heart. This is a great addition to the series and I would recommend it.
Andi Hardt has sunk all her money into her new business "The Dog Park Cafe" in fact she had to get financial help from her friend now that friend is under suspicion of drug and gun running and the federal forces are looking at her involvement. Just her luck that hot Canine Cop Nick Houston has locked onto her and her business. Nick is determined to close this gun running business down he is fed up of having to inform people of deaths due to the guns. So if he has to work at the cafe to bring them down he will Only problem is he is fighting an attraction to the woman who owns the hotel and his K9 partner Saxon is definitely in love with her. Are Saxon and Nick going to be able to keep Andi and her dog Stray safe and will he finally admit what she means to him Be prepared for some adventure and suspense as well as steamy fun scenes to light up your kindle
Nick Houston is the next K9 handler in line for an unconventional romance!
Nick is part of a task force looking into the financial convolutions of an associate of Andi Hardt, He and the task force give Andi a bit of scare when they carry out a search of her Ex's home whilst she is only in a very small bikini! Saxon is a very good K9 partner and ndi and her dog has coralled efficiently.
But as the story progresses it becomes clear that Andi is innocent but she is still tangled up in the miss and she is soon a target. But can Nick separate his feelings for Andi from his duties to the Taskforce?
Andi's business is perfect for her new lifestyle! I would love to be there - dogs, good food, great staff - what else do you need?!
The plot was fast paced and the action takes place over a short period of time. But the storyline is well crafted and timed and the characters are really relatable. Saxon and Stray are adorable and I loved meeting them. I cannot wait to see what happens between a certain K9 handler/Agent and Andi's very capable (but nervous around LEO's) Manager! Seeing the original couple from book 1 was also great as it ties the stories together.
My only complaint was that the baddie had to be connected to Scotland! Why are we always the baddie???? Lol
I'm really intrigued by this series and I am completely hooked to these K9 based stories!
This book was freaking awesome. It checked off all my boxes. Law enforcement/ military romantic suspense ✅✅. Fantastic storyline✅. Great, well developed characters✅. Action-packed✅, with a side order of humour✅.
Armed ‘N’ Ready is the second book in Tee O’Fallon’s Federal K-9 series. It was the first of her books that I have read and I can’t wait to read the rest of her books. I love that the characters and storylines from the previous books in this series are continued. The books in this series are HEA and can be read as a standalone, but it is best enjoy in order. I can’t wait for book three, although first I must read book 1. Matt and Trista, here I come!
I honestly really enjoyed this whole series. This book in particular I loved. I loved how the hero was so moody. I love the broken guys. I love reading about when the hero falls for the heroine. And I loved the hero's dog.
I really liked the heroine. She was fabulous. She wasn't winey or anything. I loved the scenes between the two main characters. I really enjoyed their banter back and forth.
The suspense was great. I love when a book is half and half. Half suspense and half romance. Sometimes it's hard to find books like that, usually their either romance with like 10% suspense or their 90% suspense with 10% romance. I'm glad I can say this book was 50/50.
Overall, I love this series. If you like romantics suspense books with 50/50 (romance/suspense) then this book would be right up your alley. Definitely recommend it.
Armed `n’ Ready is a fabulous second book in Tee O'Fallon’s Federal K-9 series and sure to have readers clamouring for more!
Packed with action, suspense, K-9’s you can’t help but adore, and the added bonus of some off the charts passion; what more could a reader want? The author writes realistic characters that have imperfections and emotional scars which form their cautious and guarded view on relationships. She also ensures that the plot is easy to follow, has a believable timeline and all the elements of a great story.
Ms O’Fallon has now landed on my ‘Must Read’ list with this powerful and engaging series, and I can’t wait to see what she delivers next!
Book two in this series, is another well written story that grabs your attention from the first page till the last.
Nick Houston, is a K-9 Sergeant with the Massachusetts State Police. Andy Hardt, is the owner of the Dog Park Cafe. They meet when he has a warrant to search the home of her ex- boyfriend and finds her washing her dog in the master bathroom. He doesn’t trust her to not be involved in the illegal money laundering her ex is doing. But, much to his dismay, the attraction is there, but so is the distrust and dislike.
This is an action packed story with bad guys, husky good ones, suspense and romance. But it’s also a story about how past experiences sometimes hampering the possibilities of getting a second chance of finding happiness.
I am looking forward to another story in this series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
I received an ARC of this for my honest review.
Another winner for this author and this series. I loved this book. Yummy romance, throw in a smart service dog and a murder/mystery with a few red herrings and you have a book date for a great evening. I didn't figure it out till the reveal.
Armed ‘N’ Ready – Tee O’Fallon
What a great book! I really enjoyed the first book in this series and was waiting anxiously for the next one to come out, and it did not disappoint! This story follows Nick and Andi. Andi is implicated in a mess that her best friend is caught up in and it is up to Nick, a police officer to determine just how guilty she is. Nick sticks close by to keep an eye on her, to see how involved she is, but it becomes apparent quickly that she is innocent after things keep happening around her.
This books is fast paced, and I couldn’t put it down. Some of Nick’s other friends are introduced in the story so I hope the next few stories in the series will highlight each one of them.
** I received a copy of this book from Netgalley for an unbiased review**
I received an arc from Netgalley and all opinions are my own. Andi moves into her ex boyfriends house for a few days while she has some plumbing repairs completed and never expects the surprise of a search warrant while there. Nick and his K-9 Saxon enter the scene and sparks fly between Nick and Andi right from the beginning.
Nick and Andi both have heartache from past relationships and have sworn off the opposite sex. Soon after they are thrown together in this puzzle driven story they try to deny their feelings but life has a way of knowing what you need at the exact time you need it. These two are made for each other.
This story will leave you on the edge of your seat all the way through. Lots of drama, intrigue, suspense all rolled into one. If you enjoy the silent strong protector theme this book is for you.
**I received a copy of Armed N' Ready from St. Martin's Press and Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review. My opinions expressed are mine and solicited in any way**
Armed N' Ready by Tee O'Fallon is the second book in her Federal K9 series. Since I'm a big fan of the authors books I was excited at a chance to read this new book. I truly enjoyed the story and give it 4.9 stars , especially Saxon Nick's K9 partner and Stray who's the dog Andi adopted.
Andi has just opened Dog Park Cafe or DPC which is a mix of a dog and human cafe after she was betrayed by her bosses and boyfriend in NYC. She's mixed both good food and a pet friendly place for everyone to enjoy but when the Feds and State Police break into her friends home with a warrant she could lose everything. Could her friend be a fun runner and money laundering for the mob? Why involve her ? Can she prove to Nick that she had nothing to do with Joe's business?
Nick Houston wants to catch the illegal arms dealer so that no other person has to be told that their relative has died. But he's got a gut feeling that Andi is somehow involved in her former boyfriends business, now if he can just forget what she looked like in her wet bikini (I loved that scene with his new addition on his gun!) Soon he's helping her out in the cafe and thanks to his friends she knows his hidden talent for entertainment. Can he fall in love again after losing his wife? Will someone they know be behind the entire gun running and money laundering?
Police Sgt Nick and his K9, Saxon are on a trail of a major illegal gun dealer, and his best lead is Andi Hardt.
Andi sank everything into her dream business, the Dog Park Cafe, and now that she has unknowingly gotten involved in money laundering related to illegal gun trade, her restaurant is in jeopardy. If she wants to save her business she has to cooperate with the extremely sexy state trooper, Nick.
Armed N Ready is a fast paced, very well written story that kept me captivated. It is funny, with witty banter, amazing characters, not to forget the lovable dogs, hot chemistry and a superb suspense. Overall an entertaining read that leaves you wanting more. I can’t praise it enough and can’t wait to read more.
Thank you Netgalley for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This was an action packed romance with sweet dogs in the mix. Andi's ex boyfriend involves her in an illegal money laundering without her knowledge and she teams up with Officer Nick to bring down the bad guys. Their attraction to each heats up despite their hesitation to involve themselves romantically.
I liked both of them and enjoyed the thrill of the chase.
I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review. Having read the first book in this K9 series I was not sure this author could make the series any better but boy was I wrong . This suspenseful romance will knock your socks off. Andi meets Nick with a bang- he’s on a case with his canine companion Saxon that she unfortunately gets caught up in, as he busts in on her in the shower (it’s okay she has a bathing suit on). Initially Andi seems put off by Nick’s no nonsense attitude but in his investigation they spend more time with each other and their canine companions. The sexual tension between them is obvious to all and when they do get together , boy is the fire hot enough to burn. There is some ups and downs that they both must face but I think in makes it more relatable than a instaromance. The antics of their dogs bring a bit of the cuteness factor too. The mystery twist was unexpected which is nice. For those who are new to the series, don’t worry at all- you will have no problem enjoying this book, but for those of you who have read book one you’ll be happy to see some familiar faces. I think I know who book three is about and I can’t wait. I highly recommend this book as a must read and applaud the author’s blend of suspense, romance, and lovable dogs. 5 stars
Book 2 in the Federal K-9 series had me hooked from the very first page, the story is funny, cute and full of action, and it has two adorable dogs in, a hot as hell Cop and a kiss a$$ heroine. The story centres around Andi Hardt who has unknowingly gotten herself involved in a money laundering scam, and is now being investigated by non other than Sgt Nick Houston. We follow Nick and his team as they race against the clock to bring in the bad guy and save the girl. Perfect writing, amazing characters (dogs too), and a gripping story. I’m loving this Federal K-9 series from Tee O’Fallen, (who it appears is in fact a real life federal agent), so I’m thinking she knows what she writes. She also has a dog (not a police dog I might add), she also likes chocolate and martinis, so, she’s my kinda gal. Another K-9 five star read for me. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher. This is my honest review.
Tee O’Fallon has found a new fan. I had never read anything from her before but by page 2 I was hooked. The story had so much depth and our Hero and Heroine have both been through the mill in the past which affects the way they live there lives. The crime story was really well written and I loved all the scenes with the dogs...so sweet.
The relationship between Nick and Andi never felt rushed, it felt very organic and believable and as the story developed I was firmly on their side. The ending was very climatic and had me on the edge of my seat. Will definitely read book 3 when it comes out...hopefully will be Eric’s and Tess story
I downloaded this book on a whim and it far exceeded my expectations! The book starts out with a bang and intrigued me from page 1. I spent the first chapter wondering if Andi was telling the truth right along with Nick. While we're on the subject of Andi and Nick, I adored them. Both have struggled in the past, and I enjoyed watching them overcome their past heartbreaks and accept love. And the dogs! A fabulous addition and great characters in their own rights. I didn't realize this was the second book in the series, so I am off to read Matt and Trista's story!
