Everything that one would know Kerry Wilkinson to craft. Nice plot, some twists. Suspenseful. Can't wait for the next book to be available. Won't be soon enough.

I have loved all of Kerry's books and when his latest came out I just had to cancel my chores for the day, find a comfy spot, open my kindle and start to read it. Oh my it did not disappoint!
Something Buried Kerry Wilkinson is the third book in the Andrew Hunter series and I haven't read the other two in this series But, it was another excellent book and I had no problems getting into it. I loved it and was hooked from the second page. This book has great strong characters and is full of twists and turns throughout that will have you gripped!

Kerry, You have done it again! An addictive page turner.

I highly recommend this latest book and then again all of his books. Kerry is just an excellent author!

So judging from the reviews, I'm one of the few who didn't love this one.

This is not a statement against the author - I enjoy his books and will happily read him in the future.

This one just didn't do it for me.

The mysteries were odd. I never, ever bought into them and certainly didn't buy into a particular villain. The issues with another character were just weird and the reasons behind all the 'warnings' never really panned out into much.

I just kept thinking this one was clunky.

I did finish it and it kept my interest long enough that I was willing to ride it out to see what happened, but I really didn't enjoy most of it.

Anna Applegate's daughter drowned. Anna is certain that Michelle's death was a deliberate act, not an accident like the cops suspect. Michelle had been out with Jack Marsh, a super sports star the night she died. Ask Anna ... she believes that Jack is the one that killed her.

PI Andrew Hunter is asked to investigate. What he discovers is that Jack has a history of violence and no real alibi for the night Michelle died.

Andrew is up to his ears in alligators. While worrying about finding the truth about Anna's daughter's death, a former case has come front and center to haunt him.... and the people he love.

Once again, this author has put together a story that it well written, full of suspense and mystery. The plot is fast paced, filled with finely drawn characters.

I've read many of Kerry Wilkinson's books and recommend them to my friends and family when they are looking for good books. This episode...and her books would make excellent tv series...finds us with PI Andrew Hunter. Andrew always finds himself in a definite bind while trying to do his job. This is no exception. As our hero works to prove a mother's suspicions correct, he must keep looking back to insure the safety and security of his family. Unable to be in two places at one time, Andrew uses any tools at hand to solve the crime. Another great read from Kerry Wilkinson.

Kerry Wilkinson never disappoints, with a thrill ride of story. I find the Andrew Hunter books especially interesting, his is a great character, flawed yet identifiable with.

This is the third book in the private detective Andrew Hunter series, and I haven't read the previous books in the series. The book however reads nicely as a standalone, even though there might be a reference or two I'm missing, will without a doubt read the first books in the series now!
I love the way Kerry describes scenes, makes the reader feel he's there himself. I can't wait to see where Andrew and Jenny go next .... recommended!

It was delighted to see another book in the Andrew Hunter series, having thoroughly enjoyed the previous two in the series and it was not disappointed.

Michelle Applegate's mother refuse to believe that her daughter's drowning was an accident. She is sure that her boyfriend, Jack Marsh the footballer was to blame. She is sure Michelle would ot have just fallen in the river because she was drunk. Andrew & Jenny take the case on, although they are not convinced the mother is right.

Andrew is a somewhat flawed character that always struggles to do the right thing but often ends up getting beaten up for his pains! There are times when you want to shout, "What do you think you're up to?" Jenny is also fascinating character. As each book comes along, more is revealed about her. I can't wait for the next one.

Another amazing mystery by Kerry Wilkinson. Brilliantly written page turner that was hard to put down and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. A fantastic and exciting read with wonderful characters.

This is a really good series so far. Andrew and Jenny are likeable characters and this is an enjoyable read with plenty of action thrown in. I will definitely be looking out for the next in the series.

Kerry Wilkinson has become one of my go to authors for well done mysteries. This is the third in the Andrew Hunter series, involving a PI and his quirky assistant. While the books are titled for Andrew, I find Jenny to be the true star of the series.

The humor in this series isn’t as broad as in the Jessica Daniels one, but it's still there. Here, it just tends to be a little drier, but that’s Andrew’s personality as well.

As with each of the prior books, Andrew is engaged by a family member to find out the truth about the death of a loved one. Here, a woman with a high alcohol content drowns in the Manchester canal. Her mother is convinced her football superstar boyfriend is to blame. But the police say his alibi is solid.

The ending was a bit unbelievable but it didn’t bother me. The biggest mystery of all has to do with Jenny’s background.

I have long been a fan of Kerry Wilkinson’s Jessica Daniels series, but here is a fresh hero. Mr Hunter is a great creation, I love the little details that show he is scared, not a full scale action hero private detective. The characters come to life, even the minor ones. I loved the theme of ‘celebrity’ in this book and the witty way it was portrayed. The Manchester in this novel is the real one, warts and all, not the sanitized version you get in some novels. Diversity, random violence and quirky characters are the features of this wonderful city; shown in glorious descriptions in this book. A twisty, turns thriller that is very well written. Next book soon please. I really need some answers about the opinion dividing, enigmatic Jenny.

This third book in the series is action packed and full of mystery. I loved the first book but was disappointed in the second. I'm glad I gave it another try because this one is well worth the read. The characters this author creates are complex, intriguing, and real. The setting descriptions make you feel like you are right there. This one kept me guessing right until the end.

Andrew is approached by Anna Applegate about the death of her daughter, Michelle who was found in the canal, dead from alcohol poisoning. The police ruled it an accident but Anna is sure that Michelle’s boyfriend, football Jack Marsh is responsible and wants Andrew to prove it. Meantime Andrew has problems of his own with threats of violence to his friends and family if he doesn’t do as he’s told.

I thoroughly enjoyed Something Wicked which has an interesting, eventful plot that held my attention throughout. I was hooked from the start with the opening descriptions of Andrew’s experience in a nightclub which had me laughing and suffering along with him. For a relatively young man in this thirties he has a middle aged sensibility. The novel proceeds apace from there with a series of revelations and action pieces. There are times when it seems a little pat - Andrew asks a question and gets the information he requires with little difficulty - but that’s a minor quibble as the author is looking to entertain, not provide grit. In this aim he succeeds admirably.

While I read the first novel in the series I missed the second and that niggles as one of the characters from it makes a return appearance. There are explanations for it but I feel that I was missing the detail when I read this one. It might not bother other readers as the novel does mostly stand alone and work well, I just like comprehensive knowledge.

I really like Andrew Hunter and his quirky assistant, Jenny who are fast becoming favourite characters. He is the slightly staid adult with a mature attitude and a desire to get to the bottom of his cases. She is strange with no fear, a sugar addiction and what might be big secrets in her past. I wondered at first if she was on the spectrum but there seems to be more to her behaviour than that. I’m looking forward to more revelations in the next book.

Something Buried is a good read which I have no hesitation in recommending.

You know the feeling when you can get your hands on a book that is being published, written by one of your favourite authors? Well, actually that is a feeling I seem to have a lot lately. And I just love it. LOL

It's like Christmas, Easter and every other holiday are all on the same day almost every single day of the week. Lucky me!

Yesterday I was one happy camper because I had the pleasure to devour the third part in this excellent series.

Andrew Hunter is a character I like very much and then there is wonderful, mysterious, fun Jenny. Every time I hope the author will tell us more about her ...  Yes, he feeds us a little snippet here and there, but there is still so much to uncover. I love and hate it at the same time. I truely am dying of curiosity.                                  And of course auntie Gem. The author could not have chosen a better name for her, because she sure is a gem.

This author hit pay dirt and struck gold once again. The story was interesting and intriguing, sprinkled with a bit of humour 5 stars.

I love the Andrew Hunter Series. I enjoyed this book, but Something Hidden (second book) is still my favorite. Love that we got more of a glimpse into the real Jenny. I can't wait to find out her secrets. I know she is hiding something, not to mention she's also a little bit scary. Love Aunt Gem and the always portly Rory. I can't imagine what would have happened to her if Andrew wasn't staying with her that night. I didn't enjoy the Luke Marsh case as much as the previous cases. I still don't really understand the motives behind the murder of Michelle. It was so strange and would never have guessed who would be involved. I guess people do crazy stuff all the time for no real reason. I did enjoy all the investigative work that Andrew and Jenny put into the case. I'm still rooting for Keira. How Andrew manages to find Jenny was pure genius. The girl is scary intelligent (emphasis on scary.) But I do love her. Although, this book she seemed a little different than she did in the previous two. I don't think this is the last we will see of Thomas Braitwaite.

Definitely recommend the book and the previous two in the series. Can't wait to read the next book in the series!! Hopefully all will be revealed about Jenny's past.

I liked Andrew and Jenny. This is the first one in the series that I have read but number three overall. It can be read as a stand alone.

There is a lot happening in this story! Many twists and red herrings will keep you moving along. Michelle’s drowning is not the only mystery at play. There is also an organized crime boss (I hate these type characters so that detracted points for me - sorry, personal bias) and a missing violin. Yep, there’s that.

There are plenty of characters to point a finger at, some of them quite nasty. The conclusion, one I didn’t see coming, was a bit crazy. Overall, entertaining. I would check out the next one.

It can be read as a stand-alone but it’s beter to read them in order so you get the background into his and his assistant Jenny’s lives. A very fast paced storyline in which you wonder what they are going to get up to next. It’s like a crime thriller like you see on the television!! I would recommend this series

As this is the third book in the Andrew Hunter series, I would recommend reading them in order. Andrew and Jenny are investigating the drowning of a young woman in a canal, which police are ruling as accidental. There is good character development along with a new cast of undesirables. The plot is fast paced, tense and full of mystery. Overall a good read which I would recommend to fans of Kerry Wilkinson. My thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.
