What an amazing thriller! Absolutely loved it; every roller coaster moment of it. This book was full of surprises, and there was no boring moment. I highly recommend it.
Julia and Navarro are just magic in this story. The battles they face, the horrors that hot close to home and along the way good surprises. romance, and connections. This was full of so many intense parts that I never knew what was going to happen. Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this story.
A really strong start, but this faltered about a third of the way through. Overly detailed and so much misdirection and other things going on that it was hard to connect with the characters or keep anything straight.
This is the first in the Julia Gooden series that I have read. In fact I had no idea this one the first in a series which means this author has the ability to give readers everything they need without them becoming lost or wondering this if this book is part of a series or stand a lone novel. Which as a reader I find impressive.
You Fit The Pattern is a dark gritty story with characters who are real, flawed and strong. The Author pulls readers in from the first page having them wondering who will be next. The murders a frighting, real and has readers looking over their shoulders.
I love how the police worked with the journalist who wants to bring peace to families who lost loved ones. While writing the news.
You Fit The Pattern is very human the characters their back stories as well at the side story creates a world that readers will not want to leave util they find the answers that Julia is seeking.
Jane Haseldie created a characters who will have readers wanting more from her. Julia is strong passionate and real to the point a reader could be running on the same trail as her.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy of Jane Haseldie You Fit The Pattern
A fantastic suspense book about obsession and the psychopath hiding in plain sight. Julia Gooden is a crime writer all too familiar with crime and how it can shape your entire life. Harassed and attacked by a manic she lives her life in isolation. The parole date for her attacker nears and her stress and paranoia escalate. Then a series of crimes agains women begin, and the women all have one thing in common, a resemblance to Julia.
Working with the police and alone a suspense filled story unfolds. Any true suspense fan will enjoy this book.
This is a wickedly enjoyable fast-paced and action-packed drama that had me completely immersed in all that was happening. Someone is killing female joggers and it's a race against time to find the killer as Julia is the end game.
The author knows how tell a story with visually descriptive narrative that sets the stage for an intensifying and suspenseful tale that had me devouring every scene as I could not put it down. The mystery was expertly executed keeping a keen eye on clues that hinted at the person responsible. I had my suspicions and when I thought I had a handle on who it was, that strategically placed twist just blew it up for me and I was rewarded with a finale worth waiting for. Everyone who mattered played a pivotal role that lead to the apprehension of the killer and with great aplomb the action mirrored how well this story was being told. This is by far the best in the series and one of my favorite reads this year. With exciting changes happening in Jane’s life, I can’t wait to see what is in store for her, Navarro, her boys and the gang.
Crime writer Julia Gooden is on the trail of a serial killer, one who abducts female joggers and murders them in old, unused churches. She has had the satisfaction of finding her brother’s killer after 30 years, and while anyone else would want a little space from murder and mayhem. Julia is on the case. She and Detective Raymond Navarro can’t help but notice that each of the victims resembles Julia in some way and when the killer contacts her, she knows she’s in trouble. The killer insists her immortalize him in her writing, and while she knows she has to play along to save lives, Julia begins an exhaustive search to uncover the killer. Once I started reading this, I couldn’t put it down. Julia is a relatable, kick ass heroine that captivated me.
