Courtney Cole’s Mine is an intense psychological thriller that dives into the raw, messy complexities of marriage, betrayal, and revenge. The story revolves around Tessa, a devoted wife and mother who discovers her husband, Ethan, is having an affair. When she locks herself and Ethan’s mistress, Lindsey, in a beach house during a hurricane, the stage is set for a gripping, emotionally charged confrontation.

Cole’s writing is sharp and unflinching, pulling you into Tessa’s whirlwind of heartbreak and fury. The dual perspectives of Tessa and Lindsey add depth to the narrative, forcing readers to confront the gray areas of morality and question who, if anyone, is truly to blame. The storm raging outside mirrors the emotional chaos within the house, creating a claustrophobic tension that keeps you glued to the pages.

Mine is more than just a story about infidelity; it’s a raw exploration of identity, loyalty, and the consequences of choices made in the heat of passion. The characters are flawed yet relatable, and while some of their actions may shock, they feel achingly human.

If you enjoy domestic thrillers with intense emotional stakes and a touch of psychological warfare, Mine will have you hooked until its dramatic, thought-provoking conclusion.

This was a surprisingly interesting and enjoyable read about a wife who is trapped in her home with her husband’s mistress during a hurricane. Dual time periods reveal the present situation, as well as the past thoughts and actions of the mistress. I love a good thriller that’s set during a storm. The characters were interesting and I read this quickly.

I’m not sure how I feel about this one still. I liked it while I was reading it but I found it very forgettable. I did really like the characters and the story line.

This really wasn't the book for me. I feel like someone who enjoys this troupe would like it, but I didnt find the characters enjoyable nor the plot.

Mine completely sucked me in from the very beginning. Told in dual POVs, we hear both Lindsey and Tessa's take on their relationships with Ethan. I've never hated a character more than Ethan, I honestly didn't even fathom what the women saw in him, he was a gaslighter and selfish jerk. Both women were too good for him and I wished instead of hating each other, they would've bonded by hating Ethan. The pacing was perfect and I finished the book in two nights. I absolutely can't wait to read more from the author since this was the first book I read by her. My only complaint was the lack of a real ending, but I still loved the story enough to give it 4.5/5 stars.

This book was terrible. It was a struggle to get to the end. Poorly written and uninteresting characters. I'm surprised I lasted until the end.

I really wanted to like this book. It sounds so good, and it starts off on a high note. I really enjoyed the opening few chapters but after a while the story just got unbelievable and it just seemed like everything was so convenient for the characters.

Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for this early copy!

Did not finish - I could not connect with the plot or writing so I decided to put it down.

Clearly I was not the audience for this one. I got an advance copy of the book from NetGalley, many thanks to them and the publisher. I remember hating every character and overall did not enjoy the story.

I initially found the premise fascinating... two women in love with the same, duplicitous man, and obsessed with each other. Wife Tessa is heartbroken to discover nude photos on her husband's iPad while he's away on a business trip. In a fit of rage, she lures his mistress to their beach mansion in the middle of a hurricane for a weekend that changes everything. SO... the truth is, I hate hate hate the "hate the other woman" trope. I cringed multiple times reading the book in various scenes as Tessa basically tortures Lindsay, her hubby's mistress. Both women were wildly unlikeable. But, I'll admit that it was a pageturner and very well-written. Told in alternate viewpoints, the truth behind Lindsay and Ethan's affair unfolds for us much in the same way as it does for Tessa. While the ending was semi-satisfying, it didn't really go far enough for me. I'd ultimately recommend it as a read, but it wasn't my favorite.

Wow! What an incredible ride this book was!

I'll admit that I'm usually wary about books that revolve around adultery or a love triangle mainly because I've been on the receiving hand of a cheating boyfriend and it definitely doesn't feel nice. However, I have loved several of Courtney Cole's previous books and the synopsis was too compelling for me to walk away from the opportunity to read this.

It was such an intense novel that I couldn't put down. Seriously, I ended up reading it in one sitting. It definitely messed with my emotions. Courtney did a wonderful job of writing extremely complex characters that are neither wholly good or bad.

I'm grateful for being approved to read such an intense and compelling novel and look forward to her future books.

I've read books from Cole in the past and really enjoyed her writing. Unfortunately, this one missed the mark for me. I found it predictable and not as fast paced as I was hoping.

Tessa returns to her fabulous beach house in Florida after dropping off two of her kids with grandma and grandpa only to learn that a hurricane is about to hit. Her husband is away on a business trip to NYC and her oldest son is in college so she will have to deal with the storm on her own.

She finds her daughter has taken Tessa's iPad with her to her grandparents' house so Tessa pulls out her husband's device instead only to find some sexts and nude pictures sent by his young lover. That bastard! Tessa texts the young woman whose name is Lindsay, pretending to be her husband, and invites her to the house to weather the storm together. If nothing else, Tessa wants to learn the truth about their relationship.

The reader gets both sides of the story from Tessa and Lindsay in alternating chapters. Is the wife to blame if her husband strays? Is the lover to blame for becoming involved with a married man? Or should we lay it all on the philandering husband who wants his cake and eat it too?

Personally, I really didn't care for the whole scenario but thought the story was skillfully written--although I'm not sure that the character of Tessa was entirely believable. She was supposed to be a hugely successful entrepreneur but didn't come across as someone that competent. Lacking in depth perhaps?

I received an arc of this thriller from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review. I apologize for the lateness of my review.

A suspenseful domestic story, Mine is a story that has a person questioning even the most trustable husband. Showing that no matter how good you think your life is you should never take anything for granted.

Tess thought she had it all. Booming company, wonderful children and a husband she couldn't get enough of. That all changed when she had to use her husband's Ipad and she found the unthinkable. Proof of an affair with a much younger woman. A woman Tess has never in her life set eyes on.

What ensues is a battle of wills. Each woman proclaiming to love the man that has in a way ruined each of their lives. A man who doesn't deserve the effort that each woman is putting forth.

With a reality that's built on lies how do you discover the truth. Secrets from each side will tear at each woman until eventually one of them breaks.

Great psychological thriller. Tess plans a a getaway with her husband. A mother and wife you can imagine how she feels when she finds out that her husband is having an affair with another woman. Set during a hurricane , this makes the scene even more dramatic. If thrillers are your cup of tea this is a book you should not miss. A love triangle and thriller this is a fast read your bound the enjoy.

This was a very quick read, but really not my cup of tea. I found the characters in the story rather silly and the whole idea a bit absurd. It is about a mother getting caught alone at home during a hurricane and finding out that her husband has been unfaithful. She gets his mistress to come to the house by pretending to be him and the whole book is about them riding out the hurricane together.

Thank you NetGalley for a copy of Mine!

It took me not even 24 hours to start and finish this book, I was that hooked. Surprisingly this wasn’t as suspenseful as the books I usually enjoy (and give 5 stars too) but I just felt like it was such a good quick read! “Mine” is about a wife, Tessa, who finds out her husband of 20 + years has been cheating on her with a younger woman, Lindsey. Tessa pretends to be Ethan, her husband, and invites Lindsey over and what happens after is just crazy! Both women find out things about Ethan and their relationships that they didn’t think could be true but ultimately they both grow from this horrible experience and realize they are strong, with or without a man. In today’s world, I feel like that is something us women have to remember a lot. While I’ve never gone through what either of these women have gone through, I feel like this book taught me to not hate “the other woman” (easier said than done right?) and remember who made that vow to you... we are (usually) so quick to hate the mistress or the new girlfriend or wife, but not the husband or boyfriend.

Regardless if you agree with me or not, I highly recommend “Mine” and understand why it was one of the most requested books on NetGalley!

This was a fast easy read. I was really into it and wanting to see where it was going. I wished there was more perspective from the husband and more closure with the ending, but overall a good read.
