This is by far the best book I've read this year. I couldn't put it down! Great story! Great charactets! I give it 5 stars and a strong recommendation!

What would you do if you accidentally found out that your husband is having an affair? Would you set up the other woman and invite her over to question her? Would you hurt her? This is the premise of the story Mine by Courtney Cole.

Tessa is a happy married woman planning to spend a romantic weekend with her husband. As they discover a hurricane is approaching, the husband tells her he has to stay out of town for work and not able to come home to help Tessa with the hurricane prep nor be there for their romantic getaway. Tessa goes and finds her husband’s iPad so she will have another way to contact the outside world if and when the electric goes out. What she discovers on the iPad is a text exchange between her husband and his girlfriend, Lindsey. Tessa makes a fast decision to use the iPad to invite Lindsay over but pretends to be her husband so she will come. This starts a serious of events that make you wonder if Tessa has gone too far and does Lindsay have any remorse for being the ‘other woman’?

This is an entertaining and fast read. It isn’t the best psychological thriller that I have read recently but it is hard to put down as you wait for the next event to unfold. I would recommend.

Tessa decides to get Lindsey to her house to confront her. Then comes the twists and turns in this book you won't soon forget.

I have to say I was going to lay down read a little and hope for a little nap. Lets just say once I started reading this I couldn't put it down and read the whole thing. This book had me sucked in from the first page and I finished it in less than a day! Thrilling and suspenseful the whole way through to the end. I wish there had been an epilogue telling us what happened with Tessa and Ethan...and even Lindsey. Loved it!

Tessa is a bad-ass. She’s an attractive, fit, self-made success. She’s the owner of a multi-million organic make-up company that she started as a stay-at-home mom as a side-job. She has it all, a huge house, more money than she could ever need and a successful and hot husband on top of it all. Don’t you just hate people like that?

Tessa doesn’t need a man. At the beginning of the book, she climbs up a ladder 45 times to shutter her mansion’s windows before a hurricane. I think that proves it. But still, she has an amazing marriage to Ethan that truly appears to be a partnership. They both work hard, and sometimes don’t make quite enough time for each other. But with jobs and kids, that’s life, right?

Tessa is so confident in her life and her marriage that she is completely blindsided to find naked pictures of her husband’s younger mistress on his iPad. Can you imagine? I mean, it’s one thing to find out your husband is cheating when you had no clue, it’s totally another to discover tacky nude pictures of his mistress. Ewww.

She’s unhinged. And she can’t think straight. She finds herself luring her husband’s mistress to her house, pretending to be Ethan. And things go a little crazy. Secrets are revealed and confessions are made.

Cole switches back and forth between the present day, madness and the evolution of Ethan and Lindsay’s affair. Also revealing interesting hints that Tessa never picked up on. Because why would she? She thought her husband loved her.

This book was a super-fast read, I read it in under 3 hours. And I’m always surprised by writers who are able to keep my attention and keep the story moving with a book that mostly occurs over the course of one night. But Cole does just that, keeping the story moving with flashbacks and surprising twists.

This has Lifetime movie written all over it. It was a quick read that kept me engaged and wondering how it was going to end. The end was short and felt abrupt. It left me wanting to know more but not as in sequel more. Another chapter or two to get more resolution. I still enjoyed the book and it was engaging.

Tessa has spirited her children away to safety with their grandparents and returned to her beachside home to batten the hatches before the storm hits. Tessa thought she was living her dream; married to her soulmate of 20 years, three wonderful children, a rewarding and lucrative career and the perfect house. But the dream morphed into a nightmare. Lindsey is “the other woman,” much younger – 26 to Tessa’s 40, lean and lithe and even though Tessa stays in shape and takes care of herself, Lindsey has made it her mission to concentrate on Ethan and lavish on him what Tessa hasn’t. All of her time and attention. As the category four hurricane rages outside, inside are two women engaged in battle, each fighting to save her relationship with the same man. This book was awesome! It really got into it,right from the start. Ending was a bit flat, but book was so good. One of my favorites this year!

I enjoyed this book. Tessa has been married to Ethan for 20 years, they have the perfect life. Big house, kids, dog, great careers. Tessa is alone -Ethan is on a business trip, she unlocks he iPad and finds out he is having a serious affair. This is in Florida and there is a hurricane. on the way. Tessa is stunned and goes on the attack. Since Ethan is not around, she goes after the girlfriend. This story is raw.
The writing is very good, and I found few errors. A good psychological novel worth a read.

When Courtney Cole described this book as “every wife’s worst nightmare”, she wasn’t kidding, and I felt every emotion Tessa felt as she uncovered the truth behind her husband’s affair.

While Tessa and Ethan appeared to have to perfect life together, it was everything but. It was kind of ironic that the night Tessa discovered the affair, there was literally a storm barreling toward their home (talk about symbolic!), but the storm within the home was just beginning. The lengths Tessa went to in order to lure Lindsay straight to her were both brilliant and, to be honest, a bit unhinged. Since Ethan was out of town at the time, it was almost too perfect of an opportunity for Tessa to confront the woman who turned her world upside down. But as it turns out, they were both played for fools by the very man they thought loved them.

I really enjoy Courtney Cole’s books, and this one was a quick, suspenseful read, but by the end I was left feeling a bit underwhelmed. I do like that she went in a different direction than I thought she would, but Ethan was such a huge component of the affair, and I felt like there wasn’t enough closure there. From the time Tessa finds out about the affair until the very end, all of Tessa’s communication with Ethan is via texts or conversing on the phone. I really wanted to see her confront him in person. I will say, though, I really liked the overall message at the end...”life will go on”. Definitely recommending this book and I look forward to reading more from Courtney Cole!

Amidst a hurricane, Tessa is able to confront Ethan’s mistress Lindsey. Just how far will she go to keep what is hers?

This book is definitely directed at a specific audience, and I certainly know some people who would call it “cheesy.” However, I’m not one of them.

I love a good cat fight, and I appreciated the perspectives from both Tessa and Lindsey. Overall, this was entertaining, and I found myself truly looking forward to what would happen next.

Sometimes those over-the-top books are just simply fun and what you need!

That was fun. I liked the writing and the characters were interesting. The alternating narrators gave the story a bit of depth and set up some fun twists.

There is a bit of crazy going on but not nearly as much as I expected from some of the reviews I read (then again, all the drama is taking place during a category 4 hurricane)... the evening could have gone to a very dark place but something happens and it shifts the focus of the evening.

It concludes a bit open ended but I think that’s for the best. I know what I would want to happen and what I think makes sense and to read otherwise would ruin it for me. This is a strong topic that people usually have strong feeling about. This was a quick and entertaining ride.

Oh my gosh this book is exactly what I've been wanting to read lately! It is the perfect mix of suspenseful, realistic, racy- I just loved it. I've always found it funny that infidelity is one of my worst nightmares, yet I love reading fiction about it!

As a survivor of a marriage destroyed by two affairs I felt this book was great. It expressed how one feels and wants to protect one’s children, the denial at first realization, the anger, guilt and much more. Tessa took action on her feelings in ways that one can not without legal ramifications. A well presented book of betrayal.

At first I was a bit confused about the past and present dialogue but then all was good. I can't imagine what Tessa went through and came out stronger for it. What I loved about this book is that it is so relatable and a real life scenario (minus some of the stuff used to hurt the other) although I'm not sure I wouldn't go that route as well, punch the thief a few times. I highly recommend this book.

He feels great shame for following through with this date, but he's so intrigued with Lindsey, and she's so beautiful, and sexy, and young that he cannot resist. He tells Lindsey that he is happily married, but Tessa is so busy and never seems to make him a priority. It's nice to spend time with Lindsey because she makes him feel good. The affair begins and Lindsey will do everything she can to make Ethan hers. Always look perfect, give him everything he wants in bed, never complain, compliment him and make him see that being with you is better then being with his wife.
Tessa sends a message to Lindsey through her husbands ipad luring her to their home. She's not sure what she'll do when she gets her there,but she needs answers. How long has this been going on, how did it even start for that matter? Lindsey walks right into Tessa's trap and is forced to answer all her questions. What Tessa doesn't expect is to hear that Ethan has lied to her for over a year, and that Lindsey is not only one Ethan has been talking to.How can two women be in love with the same man but know him completely differently?
Very suspenseful with many twists you won't see coming. "You might think he's yours but he's mine"

This was a far cry from what I usually read. I most like stories with flying in them, or about aircraft, action, adventure and mystery. It was a strange foray. How does a wife feel when her husband cheats on her? How does the mistress feel? This book brings a good insight into both situations. I would have informed Tessa to let the bum go. Of course I am married now longer than Tessa has been "alive". An interesting turn of events follows at the end of the story. I would recommend t as a quick read. Don't get too bogged down in the details.

This book absolutely blew me away! I read it all in one sitting as I couldn't fathom waiting to find out how it ends. MINE is the story of Tessa, who after dropping two of her children off at her mother's house, returns home just before a hurricane hits. She accidentally stumbles onto her husband's text messages that are synced to his iPad and discovers he's having an affair with Lindsay, a young 26 year old nursing student.

Tessa is absolutely devastated. With the hurricane fast approaching and her mind not in a proper place, she comes up with a ruse to have Lindsay come to the house while only she is there. They end up trapped due to the hurricane, and each woman will go to extremes to make sure they get to keep their man.

This is a very suspenseful and believable book with excellent writing and wicked dialogue. It was very exciting to read about Tessa and Lindsay going at each other. You can't help but root for Tessa for what she is going through. I don't want to spoil the ending, but it was absolutely perfect! I feel very satisfied with how the story and characters wrapped up.

This is my first novel that I have read by Courtney Cole, but it won't be my last. If you're looking for non-stop suspense and atmospheric writing, I highly recommend this book.
