Loved this book it was heard to put down.. Loved the switch of characters and timeline so you get the whole story as it unfolds.
Mine was a serious dive into a “what would you’d do” worst case scenario.
Tessa finds text messages from her huband to another woman on his iPad while he’s away on business. A hurricane is bearing down on her town, and she is isolated in their home. She does the unthinkable and texts the other woman, posing as her husband, to invite her over to ride out the storm together. In hopes of confronting her, but not entirely sure what she will do, Tessa waits out the other woman, Lindsay.
What ensues is told in two perspectives, alternating between Tessa and LIndsay, as she tries to justify what is happening and why she chooses to ruin someone else’s marriage. This book had me flying through it, and I didn’t know the ending until the actual last page, as opposed to many other domestic thrillers of late.
THIS BOOK!!! WOW!!! I was completely mesmerized from the first page. The emotions the books pull from you with leaving completely exhausted! I LOVED this story!
When Tessa Taylor unlocked her husband Ethan’s iPad to discover nude photos from a twenty-six-year-old bombshell named Lindsey, her seemingly perfect life came to a screeching halt. With a hurricane barreling toward Florida and Ethan stuck on a business trip, does she ride out the storm until she can confront Ethan in person, or does she take matters into her own hands?
Increasingly restless and desperate for revenge, Tessa resolves to act. And when she lures Lindsey over a few hours later, there’s no turning back.
Oh man, these are the types of books that I live for! Edge of your seat, what's going to happen next type of books... The lies, deception, and betrayal were exceptionally good in this one. I just loved everything about this book, from the cover art to the very last sentence! I can't wait to own this one.

A hurricane is hurtling towards Florida. Tessa's husband is away on a business trip, so Tessa hurries to make her home secure from the storm. She has just dropped 2 of her children off at her parents home in Atlanta and her 3rd child Colt is in college.
After getting the house secure, she calls her husband only to hear that he has to stay away another day. She is upset because this was to be their weekend together without the kids. Her daughter calls her from Atlanta to check on her and tells her that she has her iPad as she could not find hers.
Tessa changes into comfortable clothes and decides to use her husbands iPad. What she sees on there absolutely shocks her. Nude pictures of a much younger woman and many sexy texts to this Lindsey. Tessa is furious and deeply hurt. She manages to text Lindsey and invite her over. Lindsey thinks that the text is from Tessa's husband Ethan and heads to the house.
This thriller will keep you reading, wondering exactly what a wife will do to a woman who is destroying her family life.
I really enjoyed this book and thank the publishers for sending me an ARC for my honest review.
Lies, deception, betrayal...this book has it ALL! I devoured this in one weekend because I simply could NOT put it down. I loved the pacing of the storyline, as well as the characters. I became attached, and couldn't wait to find out what would happen chapter after chapter. I honestly felt this was the author's best novel so far. I am excited to see what else she has up her sleeve to write for the world to enjoy!
This was awesome! A quick read but many twists and turns, the summary I read was not the way I thought this one was going . I gave 4 stars because the ending felt rushed and I wanted to find out what happened to Ethan and Colt. I would have handled Lindsey differently than Tessa did and I think this book needs an epilogue. But all in all it was an entertaining read and I highly recommend it.
This is not your average cat-fight. During a terrible hurricane Tessa Taylor discovers her husband has been cheating on her. He is out of town and she wants wants answers NOW! So she hatches a plan to confront the other women. It just so happens the other women has plans of her own. This was a compelling read with some unexpected moments. I will definitely be recommending this book.
Wow! Loved this book. Every wife’s worst nightmare comes true when Tessa finds out her husband is cheating on her. The ultimate showdown then ensues when Tessa lures the mistress to her home, letting her believe the invitation is from her cheating husband. As a hurricane bears down on the home the two women must figure things out. Razor sharp writing makes this taut thriller impossible to put down.
This is one of the best books I've read in years. I love it! It totally kept me guessing for the entire book. Courtney Cole is a phenomenal author. This is the first book that I've read by her, but it definitely will not be my last. Looking up her previous books asap. You will not be disappointed in Mine by Courtney Cole.

When Tessa finds out her husband is having an affair with Lindsey, a much younger woman, she goes crazy. Not to mention the fact that she’s in the middle of a literal hurricane, since she lives in Florida on the beach. The power is out. She has little cell service. Oh...and her husband’s mistress handcuffed to her bed. Will Tessa let her emotions take over and hurt Lindsey...or worse???

I had heard mixed reviews on this book, many saying it wasn’t realistic. Isn't why we read books to get lost from reality for a little while? Tessa does what most people would hope to do if they found out their partner was cheating. At first, you want to hate Lindsey. Loathe her, even. But by the end, you see that she is a human, will real emotions and issues just like everyone else. She shows growth by the end of the book, all because of Tessa. Tessa shows strength and grace, realizing with or without her husband, she’ll be fine and that is a message I LOVE. This was definitely an enjoyable read! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 stars!!! .

Lies, deceit, betrayal.......craziness! And I loved it all!!
This book had me flipping the pages like a madwoman.....read it in less than 24 hours (which is a huge feat for me)!!!
So, what do you do when you discover your husband of 20 years is cheating on you with a younger woman, and you are stuck alone in the middle of a hurricane with barely a cellphone signal and a weak internet connection, losing your mind over all the scenarios going through your head? I honestly don't know what I would do, but what Tessa does is completely crazy, based on heartbreak and revenge, and just not at all what I was expecting!!! IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD!!!!
You guys have to read this one.....it's so different from anything I've ever read! Special shout out to Tessa's son, Colt, who was a huge part of this story. The story importantly points out the strong relationship between mothers and their children too. These characters are flawed and somewhat broken in their own way. Ahhhh......I really wanted an Epilogue, but I'm definitely good with the way things ended!!
Tessa and her husband, Ethan, live in a wealthy area of Florida. They have three children; Colton (21) is in college, Connor (18) and Ava (15). Tessa drives her two youngest children to their grandparents house for a 3 week stay. During the 5 hour drive home, Tessa is close to being in the midst of a hurricane. When she is on the road, her husband calls her and says a big deal is making him stay another night out of town. In the midst of the hurricane's beginning, Tessa boards up the house's 45 windows in an hour. (Not bad for a 40-year-old woman!)
Ava had to take her mom's IPAD (she couldn't find her own) so Tessa uses Ethan's. She is not happy with what she finds. You see, his phone and IPAD are paired. Ethan is having an affair with someone called Lindsey or so it seems...
The book continues on in a manner that syncs real time and the past. Real time has to do with the hurricane and Lindsey with Tessa. The past is mainly Ethan with Lindsey (his mistress) .For someone who has already been with a man and had a son at 17, 26-year-old Lindsey hasn't seemed to have learned anything. Her son lives with his grandma out west so Lindsey can go to nursing school. And fool around with Ethan.
Although the read has a great premise, I found myself getting aa bit tired of the interactions between Tessa and Lindsey. Later in the read (as the hurricane is still raging) Tessa's son, Colton, comes to the door as Tessa had just knocked Lindsey to the ground .. .It also appears Colton may be off his medicine for hemophilia...
A good read!
Many thanks to Gallery, Threshold, Pocket Books and NetGalley for the chance to read and review!
Excellent book, totally five stars. I loved this. The characters were spot-on. The story was so well done. I wanted to totally go after the husband for being such a loser and a cheater, and you end up sympathizing with the main character as well as the mistress. This was such a well written book.
WOW!!! I was hooked from page one, I couldn't but the book down. The emotion was incredibly real, raw and frightening. I absolutely loved Ethan and Tessa's story.
A must read~!
I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review. The description of the book sounded intriguing. I found the book to be entertaining and a fast read but the story just didn’t ring true for me. Some of the incidents that occurred just seemed unbelievable to me. On the plus side, it was nice to see the strength the two women seemed to posess at the end of the book. #Netgalley #Mine
The phrase ‘hell hath no fury like a woman scorned’ is perfect for Mine by Courtney Cole.
As a fierce hurricane rages, Tessa readies the house for the storm. But there is another storm coming. After she innocently picks up her husbands Ethan’s ipad, she discovers he has been having an affair with a young woman named Lindsay. Anger simmers away as she quickly plots how she’s going to get answers. Pretending to be Ethan, she texts Lindsay and invites her to come over. But when Lindsay gets there, Tessa launches a surprise attack on her. The surprise is on her however because Lindsay is not going to take Tessa’s confrontation quietly.
This book was a quick read thanks to the tension on the pages. The reader wants to know how this is going to play out, but the whole time I was thinking if I were in Tessa’s shoes, I wouldn’t even want Ethan anymore! Would you?
Summary:
When Tessa Taylor unlocked her husband Ethan’s iPad to discover nude photos from a twenty-six-year-old bombshell named Lindsey, her seemingly perfect life came to a screeching halt.
With a hurricane barreling toward Florida and Ethan stuck on a business trip, Tessa finds herself imprisoned in her own home with a choice to make: Does she ride out the storm until she can confront Ethan in person, or does she take matters into her own hands? Increasingly restless and desperate for revenge, Tessa resolves to act. And when she lures Lindsey over a few hours later, there’s no turning back.
What ensues is a battle of wills between two well-matched opponents, blinded by love for the same man but driven by demons of their own. Like storm-ravaged Florida, neither woman will be the same when the skies clear.

I couldn't believe people walked away here. A lot of the story was deeply uncomfortable all around. Lots of emotion throughout and the prevailing one left for me was hate for the husband.

Courtney Cole is a go to author of mine. I find everything she writes, I love. This is a psychological thriller that I could not put down! I sat and finished it all in one day!!
This book was so good. The events were impactful. I felt like I could feel everything Lindsey and Tessa were feeling. I did kind of feel like I got cheated on at the end. Ironic, huh?! It was very well thought out and well-written. Courtney Cole has come to be one of my favorite authors and this book is just another testament to her ability to get you to feel for the characters and get caught up in the story.
