Can I start off by saying how much I love the Hartigans? I kind of wish they were my family, too. I just love the way they interact with each other, stand up for each other, and just love each other. And when they fall in love - watch out! It's kind of amazing. I don't know how the author did it, but she took two characters who aren't exactly lovable and turned them into an incredible pair of lovers. I just truly enjoyed watching the love story play out between these two characters - might be my favorite Hartigan book so far and I've loved them all.

I couldn't help but to giggle all the way through this book as I read it.

Though Fallon is a strong woman (ok may be stubborn too) she does show that she's vulnerable as well with zack. Zack has had some bad luck till he gets to know Fallon better than a brief meeting from a different time. But zack opens up to Fallon slowly and they develop a unexpected relationship.

Now I want to say more but then I'm going to spoil Fallon and zacks story. This can be read as a stand alone but I'm sure your going to want to read more Fallon and her family,I know I do.
Can't wait to see what comes next!

**4-4.5 stars** I have thoroughly enjoyed The Hartigans Series by Avery Flynn and I think this one may be my favorite!

When Fallon Hartigan (an ER Nurse) agrees to take care of the most hated man in Harbor City, Zach Blackburn (an Ice Knights Hockey defenseman) after he falls ill, as a favor to her best friend (Zach’s PR Manager) it’s the beginning of something neither one them could have foreseen. Zach Blackburn hasn’t been playing up to standards and the team is paying for it. But Fallon seems to be his “Lady Luck” lately and things start to turn around for Zach and his team. They have a deal though, Zach attends a couple of her fundraisers for the town’s free Health Clinic and she will attend his home games in hopes of the luck continuing. You know those sports superstitions…

Zach has some major things going on in his life though that he doesn’t want getting out to the public and it may just put his relationship and career in jeopardy…

I was rooting for these two from the beginning! Hot Chemistry, fun banter and super sexy, this was a very entertaining read!

I highly recommend The Hartigans series!

Adorable laugh out loud sexy read. I love the Tomboy. This is my favorite book in the The Hartigans series so far. Fallon is an amazing nurse, she tells you how it is and not at all a girly girl. I love her so much. Now Zach he has his issues. But you will love every side of him. He's caring, not too trusting, he will come off as brash but don't let that fool you. The banter between Zach and Fallon will keep you on your toes and glued to the pages. I love how the hatred between the two of them grows into a friendship to more as they get to really know each other. It's amazing to see Zach finally give in and be more in with his teammates because yes he comes off as a loner. You will see why once you read this one. I'm #Zuck all the way. Find out what that means by reading Tomboy. I couldn't put this one down and I think you need to pick this one up.

Fallon & Zach will have you laughing & crying. I was rooting for them in the beginning just bc of the way this story takes off. To say that this book was great would not even be enough. I can’t wait for the next book!

The Hartigans

I am so in love with this series! And I have to honestly say, at this point Avery could publish her grocery list and I would devour it like it was my last meal.

Tomboy is the story of Fallon Hartigan and Zack Blackburn.  We got a small taste of them in Muffin Top and I knew I was gonna love on both these characters hard.

Fallon is unapologetically a tomboy, and I love that about her.  With the large, loud Irish family she has, it has made her strong, independent and a fighter of those that are wronged.  But that urge to fight can also become a downfall. Sometimes blind fury at some injustice can come back to bite you in the backside.

Zack has the world fooled with his alphahole behavior. The most hated man in Harbor City, oh pahleeze! We find out that because of the ultimate betrayal, Zack has learned to build wall high, wide and deep around him. But with meeting Fallon, the walls slowly start getting chipped away.

As with all of Avery's stories, the humor is amazing, the world she creates in Harbor City is stellar and the chemistry between Zack and his Lady Luck is electric!

Avery is definitely a "one-click" author for me and I cannot wait to see what she writes next! Oh and in closing, I will say I am am totally #TeamZuck!!

Tomboy is fun and the story is refreshing. I like how both Fallon and Zach deal with the pressure of the #TeamZuck and the instant stardom of their new relationship (although at first fabricated mostly by social media) they didn't let it rule their lives. We live in a world that is dictated by technology and Tomboy was still a fun, steamy, page-turning story at the end of the day.
Zach Blackburn may be the most hated man playing for the Ice Knights, but he has good reason (or mostly good reason) for his "keep away from me" attitude. He's been burned by people he should have been able to trust, so instead he now just keeps everyone at arms length, including his fellow teammates. However, when he comes down with the flu and needs some TLC, Lucy, the PR manager calls in a favor to her BFF, Fallon Hartigan a nurse who knows how to handle a man like Zach.
All Fallon wants to do is spend the weekend in a sleep coma, instead she finds herself standing outside the most hated man's home in Harbor City-Zach Blackburn. She pretty much doesn't like the man either, as an avid fan of hockey herself, but she's there merely because Lucy begged her to be. Fallon isn't a woman who puts up with much so when Zach tries to give her crappy attitude, Fallon isn't fazed in the slightest. Once he is finally on the mend, she heads back to reality, and Zach miracuously begins playing better that things actually get weird in her life #TeamZuck is born and her life gets complicated.
But if she is going to become the lucky charm to the most hated man in Harbor City, she needs him to do something for her in return. Let the negotiations begin.

Always One Step Ahead

I just read my favorite book by this author!!! I just love a total butthole with a soft center and a fearless woman who takes him on! A story with intense sexual tension, a great family of crazy characters, the best friends a girl could have and a budding bromance.

Fallon is a nurse. She’s no girly girl. She’s no nonsense and low maintenance. She’s a take no crap caregiver with a big and generous heart. Always doing for others but never asking for help. She comes from a great family and the girl has sound morals. She may come off as a bitch to some, but that’s just by people who are intimated by a strong, independent woman who doesn’t hold back and speaks her mind.

Zach is the bad boy of hockey. He likes his puck bunnies because they just come and then GO. He’s the guy that everyone loves to hate. He’s brought alot of that on himself, but he also has his reasons and he’s not sharing them.

Zach and Fallon butt heads immediately when she is asked to help him out. You just want to stand by and watch because you know when they reach their breaking point, it’s going to be explosive! But they come to an agreement that’s mutually beneficial and should bring them both satisfaction. Things are going to get heated!

An entertaining story with characters you will love. I definitely want more of the guys from the hockey team. Zach was so much more than his media persona. A reminder that people aren’t always what they seem and family isn’t always blood related. Everyone has a story and it shapes who they become and the choices they make. A recommended read that will put a smile on your face!

I had so much fun reading this book, that I didn’t want it to end. Fallon is a nurse asked to take care of Zach, the most hated man in Harbor City because of his bad playing and attitude, while he is down with flu by one of her best friends Lucy.
But when she gets pictured with him and then Zach’s playing wins the team a match, she gets labeled as his Lady Luck. And now thanks to everyone’s superstitious beliefs she is forced to spend time with him. But as she gets to know him she sees a side of him no one knows about.
I absolutely loved this book and had a hard time putting it down. Fallon’s strong, independent, take no prisoners attitude is perfect for Zach’s stubborn nature. It is a fast paced, fun and steamy read and I can’t wait for more from the author.
