Wade has finally found the perfect assistant in CC. A hugely popular football star, even though he retired a few years ago, Wade has had CC at his beck and call 24'7 for 5 years and, doesn't know what he would do without her. CC has decided that she is going to quit in 6 months. Suddenly, she and Wade are in his hometown to help with finding new women for the dying town and, so Wade can write his autobiography. CC is appalled at the fact that they are going to live together but, Wade thinks it's a great idea!
The problem with these two is that neither one of them is willing to admit to the smoldering heat between them. Even when that heat roars into flame, they don't want to deal with the fallout.
How are they both going to continue to work together without giving into these feelings?
This book was a really fun read!

This book starts with a “bang”. The interactions between the main characters is fun. The story got a little long. The two love interests got lost, they circled, smacked together, circled some more. The story is a good read, fun, steam, humor and romance (toward the end). Good, entertaining read.

Although there isn't much new here - even the title is predictable - it's still a fun rainy day read. The characters are fun, there are plenty of humorous if not quite laugh-out-loud moments, and the plot twist of the town council bringing single women to town on buses to relieve the shortage was entertaining. Recommended.

Wade “The Catapult” Carter is a retired Super Bowl winning quarterback, five and a half years ago, he hired CC as his personal assistant. CC is closing in on the end of her six year contract and cannot wait to quit and start her life over in California. CC has to give the brush off to Wade’s latest conquest, and she has had enough. She lets Wade know that she is quitting. Wade does not want her to quit, so he makes a deal with CC. He will not sue her for breach of contract if she goes with him to his hometown for three months. They agree and go to Credence Colorado, where CC meets his family and gets entangled in Wade’s mother’s scheme to get women to Credence to revitalize the dying town. Wade and CC start to see each other as something other than employer and employee. I loved both Wade and CC and how their relationship developed. I cannot wait for future stories of the hot bachelors of Credence. I was given an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.

This was a great romance. It is a bit different which is a good thing. I polished it off in two days. Loved the characters, the plot and the locale. Great fun read with enough drama to fill that need up nicely. I can heartily recommend this one. Well written and an easy read.

What I enjoyed most about “Nothing but Trouble” is these two vibrant characters – Wade and CC – and how their professional relationship hides such deep and strong ties, never easy but always gripping.
Wade is a mix of contradictions: self-centered, yet generous, obtuse until the end, but then undoubtedly enlightened, commitment-phobe until he finally finds out he’s head over heels for CC.
Amy Andrews’ writing style, full of humor, a group of several secondary characters that would be great in a story of their own and the small town setting balanced with Wade’s limelight life make this book a very genuine, enjoyable read.

I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for my honest review. This book was hilarious! It was my first book by this author and I hope there are more to come in this series. Wade is a former NFL player used to getting his way and CC is his right hand gal who helps him get his way for almost six years, but she’s finally hade enough. No more calls to the florist for flowers for breakups, CC is finally going to achieve her goal of moving to California, but first there’s just one more job. Move to Wade’s tiny hometown to help his write his memoir. Along the way she’s going to help his town solve their problem, no young woman staying around. It could have gone the wrong way but the whole scenario was hilarious-farm animals, senior citizens and many hot single men. Along the way we meet numerous characters for (hopefully) future books. The relationship between Wade and CC is definitely a slow build but well worth the wait. 5 stars

This is the first book I have read by Mrs. Andrews and I loved it. CC and Wade were great. They had great chemistry and were just fun to read about. Also all the supporting characters were great as well. I thought this would be the typical fall in love with your boss romance but it really wasn't at first. The book starts out with CC and Wade with a working relationship. He is her boss and she is his PA and not lines crossed. However he does drive her crazy with his man whorish ways.

This book was a quick read, dual POV and just the right amount of steaminess. I really hope Arlo, Tucker and Drew get books because I loved them and the way they wore out Wade.

I received an advanced copy for an honest review.

Wow! The dynamic of these two! I loved this story so much and couldn't put it down!
I hope there will be more to come from this town, all the people are so cute!
Nothing beats a mama that knows her boys 😉

I love how Andrews can take a plot that I have read a dozen times and take it in completely unexpected directions.. I literally read another book about a football player falling in love with his PA after she quits a week ago and was not sure how this book would compare but they were so different that it was apples and oranges in the end. I was not at all anticipating the small town aspect of this story but I loved it and the cast of the characters it brought along with it. Adding such a large dimension to the plot did mean that a lot of the focus was taken off of the development of feeling between CC and Wade but what time they do spend discovering this new aspect to their relationship is so sweet that I did not mind at all. The secondary romance on the other hand was a little too insta-lovey for me which made me sad because I loved the character involved and was hoping he would get his own book rather than a rushed story in this one.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wade doesn't realize that everything he has wanted is right under his nose until it is almost too late. CC has been Wade's personal assistant for years and she can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, her contract is almost up. Things change when Wade needs to head home and help with the family business well his dad is ill amd drags CC along. CC sees the softer side of Wade around his family and the feelings she's been hiding start to surface. I loved Wade and CC together they balance each other so well and they balance each other so well and have such great chemistry. I also loved how CC didn't take any crap from Wade. I enjoyed the main characters and well as the secondary characters in this story.

CC has been PA to Wade for the past 5 and a half years, being at his beck and call 24/7. But now she’s had enough. Just as she’s about to give in her notice, his dad gets a heart attack and Wade decides to love to his hometown, Credence for 3 months and he wants CC with him.
Living under one roof in a small town brings a subtle but undeniable shift in their relationship. It has them sharing things they never have before and seeing each other in a different light than that of boss and employee.
Nothing but trouble is a feel good, well written and has some wonderful characters. I love the fact that CC is a strong minded, take no prisoners heroine and it provided some really fun moments. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to more in the series.

I received a copy of Nothing But Trouble by Amy Andrews from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed the small town setting of this novel, as well as the main and secondary characters. I liked that the community and kinship was believable between everyone. The main characters, former NFL quarterback Wade Carter and his PA Cecilia "CC" Morgan, had great rapport and hilarious dialogue. Their conflict was CC's desire to complete her employment contract with Wade and move to the California coast while Wade didn't want her leave him, especially not while he was writing his memoirs to publish or dealing with his father's health situation and hometown's issues. Their compromise was that CC would move to his hometown with him for three months and that's where the bulk of the novel took place. Both characters show growth and empathy for each other throughout the novel and a slow burn to romance so that was enjoyable.

Nothing But Trouble is a funny, sweet romance with lots of witty repartee to go along with the small town setting. Credence, Colorado is a rural community that’s also the hometown of NFL great Wade Carter. In retirement now, he’s struggling to write his memoirs. To conquer writer’s block and the distractions of Denver, he informs his assistant CC that they are moving to Credence for the summer to focus on his book. CC is counting the days until she fulfills her employment contract, and relocating to the sticks with her boss wasn’t on her schedule. But, since she’s close to earning enough money to buy her dream beach house in California, she can’t say no.

Wade and CC are tons of fun together. Their bickering is a hilarious form of foreplay, and keeps the story moving. CC is a fantastic, strong character who sticks up for herself, and is one of the few people who isn’t intimidated by Wade. It takes the two of them being isolated in Credence together for them to realize that the sparks between them have been flying for a while.

I’m not usually a fan of folksy, small town romances, but I loved Nothing But Trouble. Amy Andrews’ signature wit and humor shine through every page. Wade and CC are great characters, and I enjoyed getting to know Wade’s family and circle of friends as well as the newcomers to the town. I’m hoping for more books ahead with these fantastic characters.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a nice story about a romance between a former NFL star, Wade and his assistant of 5 years, CC. CC is planning on quitting when her boss finds out his dad is sick. So he takes her with him to his families ranch in Colorado.

This causes Wade to start seeing CC as she is and meanwhile CC is planning her getaway while falling in love with the ranch and the small town. This was a really well writtend story with characters I liekd alot. But I really was a little bored with Wade's romance. It had no real issues. I did love his brothers romance much more. I also loved the concept and how they brought more women into the town.

Four and half stars.

CC Morgan has worked for self-centred former Broncos quarterback Wade Carter for nearly six years. Six years of 24/7 catering to his frankly scary Nerds addiction, buying him condoms at 3am, sending flowers to all the women he breaks up, consoling all the women he breaks up with (because heaven forfend he gives women his own cellphone number). Then just as she is about to hand in her notice Wade's father has a heart attack and Wade decides to move from Denver back to the family farm in small town Colorado and he wants CC with him.

Suddenly CC and Wade are living in a small town, getting involved in town politics and opening up to each other in ways they never have before.

This is just heaven from start to finish, CC and Wade are great together, she doesn't take any of his NFL macho BS, she doesn't think he's all that, in return he relies on her and respects her attitude. Amy Andrews at her best, not as raunchy as some of her others but still with enough smexy times to raise the temperature. Funny, sweet, sassy with baby pigs!

Can't wait for the next one in this new series, I want Arlo and Winona to be a thing.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I had a feeling I would like this book but I didn't realize that I would love it. The chemistry between CC and Wade was explosive and you could feel it coming off your kindle.

They have worked side by side for 5 1/2 years and it hasn't crossed their minds to step over the line of professional boundaries. A trip to Wade's hometown changes all of that in the best way possible.

I loved how clueless Wade was. It was glaringly obvious that he was interested in CC but he didn't see her as a woman, she was his right arm. I loved reading about how jealous he would get when his friends would hit on her but he was so 0blivious as to why he was feeling this way.

I really liked CC. She tried to be helpful and professional but sometimes a woman has just had enough. I admire her for her goals and even though she is making a lot of money working for Wade, sometimes the best thing to do is move on. Too bad a stubborn cowboy/ex-football player doesn't agree.

I highly recommend this book.

NOTHING BUT TROUBLE by Amy Andrews is a laugh out loud book! The humor is fun in this story of a retired NFL QB and his PA. They've worked together for 5 1/2 years, but it isn't until they visit his hometown that they realize they have feelings for each other!

So CC has been working for Wade for 5 years and she has had enough, enough of working for him 24 hours a day, enough of buying candy and condoms at ridiculous times of the day, enough of having to talk to the woman that he uses as tissue paper. She finally has the money she needs to buy a house and relocate to her dream state California. Unfortunately her plans get derailed when Wade decides to live in his hometown for 3 months to help his father out and he was not happy that she gave her resignation he thought she would be with him for a longer time or in his mind forever. These two find out that even though they have never acted on it they are attracted to each other but have been lying to themselves and their family and friends nudges them to admit and not let the other go. The one thing that bugged me is that he claimed he loved her from the first time he saw her,(yeah that does not work for me when he slept with whatever walked) I don't get that and never will, everything else was enjoyable..

CC has been Wade’s personal assistant for almost six years, but she is tired of cleaning up his messes. She decides to quit her job six months before her contract is up, but Wade presents her with a compromise- spend the next three months helping him write his memoirs and he’ll let her out of the contract three months early. She agrees to the compromise, which includes living in the same house with him. During this time, they come to know one another in ways that they haven’t in the past. Eventually, they realize that they have fallen in love, but their way to happily ever after doesn’t come easily! I enjoyed the story enormously.

My only pet peeve involves the frequent use of British slang throughout. The story takes place in the U.S., and I suspect that Americans will be the primary readers. If this is the case, then that needs to be cleaned up.
